"They have ton of potential, sadly they're not taking advantage of it. The courses are mostly writing intensive (this is a liberal arts college), but they're also so ridiciulsy bland & boring. You litterally just read a book & write assignments or discussion posts. You can get this at University of the People or a few other colleges for 80% off of their tuition costs. I'm so dissapointed by the way the courses are laid out - you learn the bare minimum this way - if anything! They have 'videos' in each lesson but these videos are litterally only about 1-5 minutes long & are not even of the professor but someone who the students don't even know. There's an organization called study.com that offers college credit by watching videos online & taking a quiz afterward, I honestly should've just went that route and saved thousands of dollars. I can't imagine incorporating lesson videos or live lectures by professors to cost a fortune. This college is not innovative at all but is still stuck in 1998 with basic texts & writing model - it's 2018, make students interested & incorporated."

"Its a great institution for learning and developing as a person. But I don't think I received the learning I deserved, its not all that worth the money. I've learned some very valuable tools and lessons from this school, but this school did not assist with my major. But thats okay because it made me realize what I really wanted to go into which is Higher Education. The schools community is amazing but like all things require some more work, but staff/ faculty are amazing. Staff/ Faculty actually care and will help you when needed."

"New England's College of Education cares about their students and goes above and beyond to make sure that the students have the access to the resources that they need. They guided me through my master's and worked with my needs, I wasn't just a student, I was a person."

"Don't even start at this school at all. They were not helpful at all with getting financial aid even though their tuition is ridiculous. Since was unable to get financial aid, contacted them to withdraw from classes well before the start of semester and they left me signed up. Only realized because they sent email stating failing class. Then had audacity to charge almost$70 for a piece of paper that was required to register in first place, since I withdrew from the classes. Just poor start, poor help, poor communication, poor school all around."

"If you want to give money in exchange for a piece of paper without any critical thinking the online bachelor program with New England College (administered through a corporation called Bisk Education) is for you. Half the time the book doesn't apply to the content of the course and other times the "book" is a bunch of links to websites. The crazy part is after paying $150 for links to online articles the links were expired and the adjunct professor sent alternative links. Every class has the same structure, one post to a short discussion question and a response to two classmates. This is the most mindless exercise ever because you can post anything and get credit. Unless the post is the introduction, where the adjunct professor says, "welcome to the course" their is absolutely no feedback to engage students and promote learning. Each course is seven weeks, that means seven discussion questions. I literally had the same discussion question for three straight courses. The insane part is, without professor feedback the students in the three courses never critically answered the question. As long as an assignment is uploaded a 100% score will be assigned and the feedback is very canned. This is a degree mill, if that concept is attractive to you this college and online platform is for you."

"This program, like many of the programs involved with the New England College School of Graduate and Professional Studies, is geared towards individuals who work full-time, want to become well-informed, educated. They have 7 week semesters"

"WARNING!!! Do not attend this college! They care nothing about your education. The financial aid department is the worse! Getting help is like walking backwards through a cemetery at night. The finan depart. Is never theoral and friendly. They answer the phone as though they're tired of being employed there. You will not get the proper answers to your questions and you are rushed off of the phone really quick. The financial aid dept. is extremely slow when handling your business and you will be penalized if you want to withdraw from the school. The penalization come from them not canceling your financial aid in time for you to go on with your life and obtain an education else where."

"Do not come to this college. It is the biggest mistake I have made. There is nothing to do in this town, its very tough if you don't have a car. The students are very close minded. Honestly this college feels like high school all over again. It is very clicky & there is so much drama. I think the reason why there is so much drama & clicks is because the school is so small & because it is so small it makes it feel like a continuation of high school. The food is disgusting. I don't know how they expect us to eat this crap everyday. If you have the money stay away from the dinning hall."

"Incredible faculty, great library staff. Very supportive mentors who are easily accessed. New and creative directors working on making the low residency experience a great one. The campus is beautiful and quiet. There does not seem to be much diversity among students enrolled in the MFA program other than with age. Most students are Caucasian. Campus is not that accessible for those with disabilities. The dorm rooms are not well equipped for the climate, ie:warm blankets or working fans."

"I have just completed my freshman year at NEC! I am training to be a teacher and just wanted to share my experience so far. The courses are very interesting and relevant, and I have found them to very useful. You get a lot of real world experience; for example, I have just completed a first year student teaching class, which is a rarity that many schools save till your final year. I have also been a paid intern at a local school, thanks to my college's work study program. I would definitely advice new students to not be afraid to inquire about these sorts of opportunities; they are a great way to improve your teaching skills and enhance your resumé. Potential non-education majors; there are a wide variety of similar internships based on your interests and field of study, whatever it might be! The academic advisors here are especially dedicated and useful. For example, my advisor was happy to create a degree audit for me as I am hoping to graduate a year early. Now I know that this is possible, and I can work towards getting a full time job in education. In short, if you are hoping to become a teacher, I would definitely look into New England College as a good alternative to public colleges. It offers a very comprehensive and experiential program. The nice location and friendly students and faculty are also a bonus! I am extremely excited that NEC is helping me to go out into the world as a dedicated and competent Special Education (K-12) and Elementary (K-8) educator! I look forward to seeing some of you in the future."

"The pros of the graduate program include, the five years of schooling. The programs does a 3/2 which states that a student does 3 years at New England College, and after you transfer to Nichols College and do an additional two years. The program has good professor's that are willing to help their students. The cons of the program is that their is not as many design/hands on building classes."

"I work full time in Law Enforcement in Vermont and really enjoyed the flexibility of the online Masters CJ/L program offered by NEC. Course work was well planned and organized. I especially enjoyed the interaction from other CJ professionals. Co-workers have attended similar programs at other colleges and were not as pleased as I was with the online experience. I highly recommend the CJ/L program."

"I have not taken online classes at this school but I did receive my undergrad from NEC. It is a good liberal arts school and the teacher's are usually great. I would certainly choose NEC over the strictly online schools."

"I attended the New England College Online class for my Masters in Real Estate (MSRE) and I received this degree in 2007. I enjoyed the experience greatly since I was already working a full-time job so balancing that schedule with the ability to access the classroom at my leisure was very convenient. There are plenty of ways to interact with classmates and professors and everyone was very cordial and helpful (even though we never actual met). If I could do this again I definitely would and would recommend this experience to others who seek to obtain their MSRE."

"New England College was ideally located about an hour outside of Boston, which took me out of the city but not so far that I could not visit. The classes were exciting and encouraged participation. The faculty was highly trained and enthusiastic about their classes, which fostered an atmosphere for fun and learning. My New England College degree played a huge part in landing my current teaching position--school boards are well aware of its reputation."

"I really feel like choosing New England College was one of the best decisions I have ever made. The faculty and student body are amazing. I know I received a great education here; I was definitely prepared for graduate school and I will be successful in the future. I do not have anything negative to say about this school. Go Pilgrims!"
