"I graduated from OKWUs AGS program in Spring 2019 and I feel compelled to warn current and prospect students, as well as those connected with the college, of the disrespect and massive waste of time and money I have endured as a student.First and foremost, the program itself is poorly put together and managed. The professors are primarily adjuncts who offer very little if any instruction. I passed every course with ease and 99% of the time I received the feedback of A+! Fantastic work! on any given assignment and NOTHING more. If I learned anything or felt challenged to better myself I did so from the textbooks alone. Some professors were downright incompetent and needed to be corrected by the students throughout the entirety of the course. I am very surprised the program earned and keeps accreditation. Each course ends with an evaluation in which I filled out every single one expressing these same concerns, but I have never been contacted to discuss such egregious problems further. If that is not troubling enough, the real insult that should be extremely disturbing to all involved with this university is the total apathetic administration that showed little concern about me as a human being. In short, I submitted over 120 credit hours for transfer upon admission and a large handful were accepted. However, OKWU returned stating I would still be required to complete 6 hours of upper electives. I submitted for review a recent, year-long certification I completed before enrolling that should have easily fulfilled said requirement. The certification is accepted for credit at a handful of other colleges, some even accepting it as credit in their masters program. Regardless, I was denied. Remember, we are talking about elective courses here. In other words, money and time spent on essentially whatever so long as you gain the appropriate experience, which I already had proven. What happened next was the most difficult part of this saga for me personally. I petitioned the decision which put me in discussion with two Deans of the school and eventually the president, Dr. Piper. In summary, each Dean listened to my story, reviewed my request, affirmed the decision of rejection, and quite literally fell silent when I attempted to follow up for further advice hoping they had a solution (or even empathy). I was completely stonewalled. Out of desperation I sent a message to Dr. Piper asking if he would be willing to meet with me. I was sure a man of his reputation, one that openly seeks to emulate Jesus Christ, would be interested in any student, especially one struggling with his administration. His only response was this:Mr Fenton, I did receive a copy of your emails to Drs. Weeter and Keeney and I have reviewed them accordingly. After doing so, I support their final decisions. Everett Piper, PhDPresidentOklahoma Wesleyan University After the shock wore off, I responded stating I was not looking for him to reverse any decision, I simply wanted to discuss my very negative experience as a student of OKWU. To date, he has never responded.Suffice it to say that I am embarrassed to display my diploma, branded by such an ineffectual institution, and I would absolutely request that my tuition be refunded if I was not convinced the administration would either completely ignore me or laugh me out of the building. OKWU definitely impacted culture but it was most definitely not with the Lordship of Jesus Christ."

"Oklahoma Wesleyan University is an extraordinary school to attend. It is a small school and the students have an opportunity to actually get to meet the professors. The professors treat you as a person instead of a number and they willing to help. They actually want you to succeed. Also, the professor have real world experience so they are able to teach beyond the textbook."

"Okwu is an amazing University. They have teachers who care, the classes are on point, online courses are very organized and the professors get back to the students fairly quickly. The price for tuition isnt crazy high but is not cheap either. I got my bachelor degree and do not regret it one bit. From admissions to financial aid everything is very clear and the staff is very HELPFUL not pushy"
