"Although the program is half the price of the one at Pima Medical Institute, I can't recommend it to anyone. Overall the instructors were decent and I feel like I learned a lot, but the administrative ineptitude and slowness of the program are simply aggravating. The administrators often don't know who's teaching the classes until right before classes start so they will post instructors and class dates and times the day before classes start. This is incredibly inconvenient especially for students who are already working full-time jobs, which is the majority. More frustrating, however, was the lag between completing my externship and achieving my diploma. I completed my externship and turned on all the necessary paperwork on December 9th, which meant that I technically completed the program on December 9th. The course administrators recommend that I start applying for jobs Immediately even though I hadn't taken my registration exam. Over the next month and a half, I was denied multiple jobs because I had not taken my registration exam. I sent the program coordinators multiple emails and asked for a temporary certificate because several potential employers thought I still had not completed the program. I also asked for an approximate date on which I would be registered for my RMA exam. Instead of giving me a date or certificate, I was sent an email saying that I had completed the program on December 9th and was told to give it to potential employers. When I asked again about getting registered for the RMA exam they told me I should limit my employment options to establishments that take Unregistered medical assistants only. It's currently January 28th and I still haven't heard back about my registration for the RMA exam. I also just received an email today that I completed the program. In other words, it almost took two months just to post my certificate. I just lost two proposals because although I have been done with the program since December 9th, Pima Community College neglected to put that on my transcript until January 28th. Pima Community College has cost me job opportunities and multiple job offers because of their bureaucratic inefficiency and if I had known about this earlier I would have taken the program at Pima Medical Institute. If you have a bunch of time to waste and are willing to get thrown around by paper pushers, be my guest, but I recommend getting your certification somewhere else ."

"When I graduated from high school, I was set on going to a big university or college. My parents insisted that I start at Pima College knowing that the transition would be a more affordable good option to getting my associates degree. At first, I was not happy about that decision, but I can't thank them more for their direction now that I've been at Pima College for the past three years. I have loved the smaller class sizes; and because of the smaller class sizes, the teachers were more accessible and able to give the students the attention necessary. I'm looking forward to attending the University of Arizona in the fall of 2018 but am thankful for the three years I've had at Pima."

"After High School, I was decided that I wanted to do something important with my future. Pima Community College allowed me to start my path in education and was definitely the best way to transition into a bigger University. This College offers students a very diverse environment in which you can feel comfortable and accepted, it made me more secure and mature. Now, I can say that I'm well prepared to enter a bigger University, like the University of Arizona."

"Pima Community College was a great school to attend right after high school. Pima's classes are small enough that you get attention from your teachers if you're struggling to adapt to the transition from high school to college. I was able to meet with teachers one on one during office hours and they would help me the best they could to grasp the material. All the teachers are extremely helpful and are there to see their students succeed. I knew that i was eventually going to transfer to a University and the counselors made sure I was placed into classes that would be accepted anywhere i wanted to go. Pima have many great campuses but I attended the West Campus only because of the wide range of science classes they offered. Pima helped me in my success and will always be a school i recommend."
