This is the worst college ever. Don't waste your time or money. They signed me up for a class told me to take it then once I got passed my dead line to drop they told me the amount. This school has to be one of the most unprofessional schools I've ever dealt with. The people at the school are horrible the financial advisor started yelling at me on the phone one day and will not drop my debt even though they told me the amount after they told me it wouldn't be much with all my financial aid and wanted almost 10,000 for a pharmacy certificate. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME
What ever you do don't waste your time and MONEY! Everyone is helpful and nice until you no longer can get your money back! This school is so ridiculous I don't understand how they are in business. Wait it's because of people like me. Don't make the same mistake I did. Do your Research!
I'm not sure why some of the reviews are so bad. I am a veteran and I am using my VA benefits. I agree, some of the classes I have to take are stupid to have to take for my degree. On the other hand, all the instructors I have had have been great. I have weekly online class time, or I watch the recording. My instructors and everyone at the school, have always got back to me in a timely manner. It does take some instructors a while to grade, I do admit that. For my life and my schedule, Rasmussen is the best fit for me. My courses are broken into 2, 6 week courses, with a week or so break in between. I have never had to do work over a major weekend or holiday. Due dates are all in the syllabus and you can work ahead if you want. I manage my time so I don't have to do school work when I have other things going on.
I've been living in Europe since I started and they were so helpful! I absolutely have been having the best experience and this is my 5th college. My favorite thing about this college is the textbooks are on an app!!! Don't have to wait for shipping. I love the instructors and the work!! I have 2 quarters left and I will have finished my bachelors in 14 months. And they transferred in my associates from a different college just fine!
DO NOT ATTEND THIS "COLLEGE"!!! I enrolled at Rasmussen this year for my Associate Degree and planned on getting my Bachelors degree there as well. When I first contacted this school the advisor was very responsive. He called me back timely and was very nice. The minute I signed that form to enroll I never heard from him again. I was just another number in his quota of enrollees to get suckered into this school. The instructors aren't qualified to teach preschool let alone college classes. Basically it is powerpoints and just reading. Instructors do not respond to emails and you get no help. I tried to use one of the online tutors I pay for in my tuition and on several occasions was told " my time is up i have to "release" you or I cannot help you. I spent a ton of money in loans here now for only 6 months of classes and got zero out of it. The credits won't even transfer to a real university so I really got nothing out of the big loans i have to pay now. I withdrew for next quarter and will be going elsewhere. Please save your money and do your research on this school. I only wish someone would have told me this before I put my future on the line. These reviews are honest. This is a business NOT a school. They care about money not your education.
I became disabled while I was attending this online program that left me unable to drive. The career counselor was not sympathetic andcwas sending job postings to towns far away from where I live. She was not helpful and I think this program was hortible. Not only am I not prepared to join a management team at a company, I am left with a student loan that I cannot afford. The jobs that my career counselor was offering me to go on interviews for were in the $15,000-20,000 range. I didn't need a degree to earn that amount
Do not attend this for-profit ripoff. They offer state of the art live support when trying to get your money and enroll you, and you'll get the impression that everything's good here, but afterwards you'll be left in the dirt. Hardly any of my accredited university credits did not transfer (Which should of raised a red flag). The Information Tech classes they enrolled me in were garbage. Don't waste your time and money here!
When reading some of the reviews I am surprised. I started with Rasmussen when I lived in the US, when we moved back to Europe I continued with Rasmussen to complete my degree. During the move the instructors were very helpful and understand the hectic. I almost done, 2 semesters left and I have only good comments to tell. Whenever I had a question and sent an email, the same day I received a response the same day. The accelerated course is a challenge sometimes when you work and also have children but when keep you keep up with the work and follow the instructions you can follow perfectly. The instructors are nice and responsive, if I have a question each email is answered within 24 hours. It takes discipline to complete all the work, but at the end you will receive a degree you worked for and deserve it! I would recommend this school to anyone who has self disciple and commitment.
Nowdays you need reviews, opinions and luck when it comes to making a simple decision. On a scholar level this is by far the worst school I ever attended. Some Instructors do not follow up with emails, you have to chase them down to grade your school work, the amount of work required is just absurd, the whole classroom is based on a 45 mins recording lecture once a month at best twice a month. Staff dean and counselors all have the same agenda, there is not a system in place to support students. My 1st semester was my last semester with this school. Its not a cheap school therefor I suffest you spend your hard earn mkney somewhere else if you're serious about your education
Veterans do not go here! the classes are mostly online and are poorly taught. You will be charged for classes by the day and Rasmussen ends the quarters early. They are not the 11 weeks that's you pay for and you have to do coursework through the holidays. They change courses on you and force you to spend more money with a new course they adopted and make you pay the price. It ishould only regionally accredited not nationally. Waste of money. Veterans look elsewhere for quality education this college is failing.
