Yes, the school is expensive, but you get what you pay for. I graduated with my RN degree and got hired at UF Shands immediately after finishing. I do not understand why there are so many bad reviews about this school on here!!!! If you are not going to put in the hard work or dedication required to become a nurse look elsewhere.
I wasn't going to write a review, but felt compelled to do so after reading poor reviews. I had an EXCELLENT experience at Rasmussen. I attended online via the Ocala, FL campus. My advisors and point of contact were all extremely prompt, informative, and professional. I did A LOT of research before picking a school that would fit my needs. Yes, it's a tad pricey, but for never having to step foot on a campus, books included, and graduating ahead of schedule- what would one expect? I previously attended a reputable, private university here in Florida and ended up transferring to Rasmussen. I can't speak for other programs, but you have to remember Rasmussen isn't on the same level as Yale. I recommend Rasmussen to any adult wanting to start or finish a degree on his or her time.
I felt the program was disorganized but completely prepared me for boards. My expectations so we're to teach me what I need to know to pass boards and be a competent nurse and then I found my own job to fine tune my skills and evolve into a better nurse.
I had a great experience with the Bachelor Marketing Program at Rasmussen College. I loved the program, teachers, and classmates. The online format was perfect for my mid-shift schedule. My teachers and student advisor were also very helpful. I great choice.
I am very surprised by the number of negative reviews on here! I have had such a great experience at this school and with all of the staff and instructors. I am in the second quarter of the nursing program at Rasmussen College - Rockford Campus. What I quickly learned is that you have to be a very motivated and independent learner to be successful at this school. The courses are mostly online, and they move quickly through the material. If you are not disciplined enough to learn the material on your own and complete the course work on time, then you probably won't be successful at this school. The program is not easy, and the format in which this school teaches its students is not for everyone. Personally, I believe that Rasmussen College is a fantastic school that takes much pride in the quality nurses that their program produces. They care about their students and provide them with endless resources to ensure that they are successful. I would highly recommend this school to anyone who is serious about their education and is not afraid to work hard for it.
I have had great experiences with this school! I am nearly finished and have gotten an A grade every semester in every class. i work at a Bright Horizons which is a "partner school" with Rasmussen and received discounts for my credits. Most of my professors were fair. Every other semester is seemed i would get a difficult professor but I got through it. This program is not easy, it is hard work but so worth it! i am now able to advance in my early Childhood career thanks to Rasmussen's accelerated program and flex options. i took 4 FREE classes while attending and enjoyed every minute of it. I have seen so many bad reviews but I have had no negative experiences that weren't resolved. I was even put through to the Dean when i had an issue, there customer service is astounding. I recommend Rasmussen to anyone looking to advance their career within their field of study! Thank you Natalie and Karen for your support during my attendance!
I see many negative reviews on this site and what I noticed is they are all generally written by Nursing students. I recently obtained my degree in Business Administration and I have nothing but positive things to say. I might not be a fan of the way the courses are set up but just like all things, you get what you put into it. The materials that were given were similar to the ones that I have received at my previous school (Depaul). While there were some bad apples in regards to professors I would say that the majority of them were knowledgeable and helpful. Many of them in their introductions would let you know what their background was, what schools they attended, and other current occupations. I feel that it is rather easy to know if someone is lying and I have no doubt that these teachers are telling the truth. Some even have brought in example of their current projects at work to help facilitate our education. I will admit that the tests are rather easy but this could be attributed to my effort of reading every chapter and conducting outside research. Again, you get what you put in and I have grown more knowledgeable of my subject. As far as careers go I received a job offer within three months of graduation and couldn't be happier at my current occupation.
Rasmussen offers an accelerated BSN nursing program. This is great for students who want to pursue their BSN within a few years, it is a rigorous program but I would recommend this school to anyone wishing to transition into their career on a fast track with a great education.
My experience with the college was great. I was able to attend via online courses and work at my own pace. I would definitely recommend to anyone.
I was looking for a program that would be relevant to my career goals so I enrolled in the Marketing program. The teachers were good, especially those teaching the marketing classes. The focus on digital and social media was very helpful in my current position. Make sure that you do some pre-work before you take the statistics class! The program was hard but well worth it. I would recommend Rasmussen.
