Degree: Dental Assisting/Assistant
Graduation Year: 2015

The tuition is way overpriced! Teachers are never in the classroom when you need help.. Just don't waist your time and money. If you are trying to become a Dental Assistant you have to keep on mind is very hard to find a job, obviously they will tell you we will help you find one which is something they'll never do.

Degree: Medical Insurance Coding Specialist/Coder
Graduation Year: 2011

It was not a good experience, I had previously been working in the field 7 years prior to attending. I pasted my test but it was not because of the school. 3 out of 25 pasted. Now some of my friends are stuck with a very high loan and no certificate and no job.

Degree: Criminal Justice
Graduation Year: 2015

I just graduated with a Criminal Justice Bachelor's Degree at the Honolulu Campus. The Career Services didn't help me much when finding a career. I end up getting a job working security that pays me close to minimum wage. I can't even pay my loan with that kind of montly wage. I ended differing my loan which ended up with a interest rate of more than two thousand dollars. I tried to apply for a state position as a youth corrections officer unfortunately the state rejected my application claiming Remington College is not accredited. Not only I'm deep in debt I got a job that don't have advancement in opportunity.

Degree: Pharmacy Technician
Graduation Year: 2006

I went to Remington in north Houston for pharmacy technician. The classes were suppose to be small which weren't and sometimes we were left with no teacher. I was also told that I would get a free test which I didn't and once I payed over 100 for my test I couldn't pass it...why? Because more than half the stuff on there wasn't taught to me. Nothing but waste of my money and I was left in dept because I couldn't finish paying.

Degree: Medical Billing & Coding
Graduation Year: 2015

The price for the rudimentary crash course in coding is outrageous. The fact is most places will not let you code with no real world experience. I work as front office staff at a medical practice making better money that I ever have, and for that I am thankful, but it's not worth the massive amount of debt I am now in. A diploma or even the CPC certification they talk about the entire program, is just not necessary to be a coder, though it looks pretty on your resume. The curriculum is not devoted solely to coding, a vast majority of class is spent on learning how to manipulate EMR systems and practice managing software. That will come in handy for your entry level position, but the coding portion is not extensive enough to actually be considered worthwhile coding experience. That being said I was top of the class and still failed the CPC exam by 6 points. After classes ended I had to stay on career services for a month before they sent me any job leads because they had "no contacts" in the area I live, I live in a suburb of the DFW metroplex, so don't give me that. It is not a horrible school, but if you are going to pay that much money for education pay it to an accredited college whose credits are transferable, because now I'm 15k in debt, with a piece of paper that means a lot of nothing. I am going to continue my education at an accredited University, because all Remington really prepares you for is an entry level position.

Degree: Medical Assistant
Graduation Year: 2014

Lets just say at the beginning everyone is helpful. But once your in you're pretty much screwed! I went to school here at the end the last month you go on externship to a location. But before you can go your account you pay the school every month.Has to be a balance of zero. They told me mine was a balance of zero. Finish my externship but I got sick found out my brain was swollen and i was having seizures. Because I was having memory loss and bad headaches. So when I took care of that got myself on meds I had already missed graduation so i was bummed out. I was ready to grad out get my diploma. Then they tell me i owed them 4,000 dollars. Im sorry but I don't just have that kind money laying around. But if you do well lucky you. Anyways that is aside of what I owe the company who let me borrow money to go to school. which is 15k. If you're paying cash it will work for you. Most of the teachers are actually cool. The Financial Aid is only one lady who is always in a bad mood. Never is really helpful when you ask for help she just blows you off. I still don't have a job in what i studied for. All places ask for at leaf 2 years of experience. Career people actually try to help. Like I said this school will only work for you if you pay full on cash. if not I would'nt even give it a try.

Degree: Medical Billing & Coding
Graduation Year: 2015

Don't wast your time and money Please!!!!!. I was a 4.0 student at Remington College and this Diploma has not helped me get a job. I thought learning a skill would help me to get a job making more money so i could provide for myself after a divorce. This was so far from the truth. All I did was make my life harder and stress full . I've only been on one job interview that career services set up. It was for a part-time position and they said they could get a temp to do the job. The commercials make you feel like school is the way to achieve your goals. But that's not true. I have two daughters who have been to other schools and haven't found jobs either. They want experience not a diploma. One woman i know got certified in her field at Virginia college and still has not found a job. So Please do not be fooled by the hype save your money go to a real school and take something like computers or criminal Justice at least some of those have found jobs.Medical is about skills . You can't show your skills if no one will hire you. I' m working a part-time job and I have billing experience but no coding except in school. There was not a coder on my ex-tern the coder was working for them out of New Orleans. Even though I did excellent on my ex-tern i didn't have a chance. They needed a Medical Assistant. I am struggling paying a mortgage on 29 hours a week and can not get a job in the Medical field. I have so many applications out I am welling to take anything that will pay my bills. The teacher also had her favorites. They tell you you can't code just because you have a A that doesn't mean your a good coder . Really!!! seams to me something is wrong when a school has A and B students who can't code. My reason for going to school was to get a good paying job and learn a skill to improve my life . Not to get in debt for nothing.

Degree: Pharmacy Technician
Graduation Year: 2008

Whatever you do, do NOT attend Remington college. It was a complete waste of time, effort, and money! I did not find a job in the field that studied until a year after I graduated and even then I hated the job. In class we mostly just watched movies and wasted time. We hardly ever opened our books at all. Now I have a huge student loan to pay back, and it was all for nothing. DO NOT attend this school please!

Degree: Agriculture
Graduation Year: 2010

Worst 10k i've ever spent and am still paying off. The commercials and the hype that surrounds it makes you think that you could go to school and automatically find a job in the field no problemo! you couldnt be more wrong. i went on countless interviews and unless you know someone in the business everybody wants experience. As a single mom looking for the ticket to help me raise my kids comfortably and set a good example (like the commercials). As if being a single parent these days isnt hard enough NOW i dont only have to worry about a roof over our heads and food on the table...i also have to worry about paying back a school loan i gained absolutely nothing from! Please please please do your research. Broke and not a bit smarter....Fort worth, tx

Degree: Veterinary Technician
Graduation Year: 2007

I have been having all the same issues of non-transferrable credits, as well as non accred. and not being able to be hired. I even attemted to join the armed forces, they would accept either. Call this number: 703 247 4212. File formal complaint here in writing with supporting documentation, they are the ones whom accredited Remington College, and if they do not help in the refunding/cancellation of your student loans, you need to join me in filing with the Attorney Generals Office. These people are a farce of an educational institute and they will continue to defraud the American people of their hard earned money until they are brought to justice. We must unite in order to get the "school" shut down, after which you can contact the loan service provider and have the loans dismissed.
