"I cherished the time spent with professors and classmates. Relatively small class sizes meant you got to know them well, and the professors were always willing to help, advise, and generally engage in conversation. I felt as if I truly had developed relationships with these people and have kept many contacts since then."

  • Degree: Graphic Design
"The graphic design program at Rogers State University was new when I enrolled into it but the Fine Arts department was growing fast from when I started until the time I graduated. Having the small classes sizes is a great thing when you are looking for the one on one interaction with the professors in any of the classes."

  • Degree: Performing Arts
"Rogers State University’s Fine Arts degree program is top notch. The professors are all established artists, and have a long history in the study of many different forms of art. There is always that call back to the foundations of the visually appealing, but there is a constant push for forward thinking and design. Being proactive as a student is encouraged and the best is brought out in everyone. Students are encouraged to attend the local art shows and museums on a regular basis to glean from the past and current masters, many of these events are even discounted for the students so it makes attending them much easier and more relaxing. Lastly, the school takes an annual trip to Italy where students can get a firsthand account of the original masters of the Renaissance. Surrounded by created masterpieces, it makes what being an artist is really about."
