Even online the instructors are helpful and there for you when needed. They offer times for class to meet in live chats as well as offering assistance through questions on discussion boards. Tutoring is also available through a live chat line. The only issue is with financial assistance and getting the VOCREB posted in order to get supplies for school. This is the third week of class and still hasn't posted so don't depend on that for essentials need from your financial aid refund, as they take it... Read More

I have felt more than challenged. My program meets as a cohort with some online work as well. I took the FELE with about a year of studies left and passed it on the first attempt. There is a lot of work - reading and writing. Some will say that the work is unnecessary however it is part of getting the degree as well as required by the state. I feel that I am more than ready to take on my next position.

Ok, Let me first say I started and stopped Saint Leo three times for personal reasons and there wasn't any issues with re-starting the MBA program. Oh, yeah I received my undergrad with Saint Leo as well. There was some issues with instructors--that were addressed, my last course the students were rude and the instructor addressed as well. I had some issues with the accounting--(math) courses that were required online and the instructor was again helpful. Overall I was very excited about completion--and... Read More

First semester and it's going well so far! Love the atmosphere and class grabs my attention! Downfall is not being at the main campus to experience social life and other perks like the library, etc.

I was able to finish my BA in psychology at Saint Leo in a year and a half by the ability to double up on classes and complete coursework anywhere. While this is a huge benefit to the school, getting my classes paid for has been a nightmare. I tried both types of federal loans, subsidized and unsubsidized, and they sent the check I needed to sign and return to another student located in a completely different state. I tried private student loans and am still trying to get that fixed, even though... Read More

No support! Financial aid is a serious joke. Triple charges for a sub-par education. You will basically teach yourself! Do not try to get support from the center Director, (unless you are one of the few "preferred" students) no return calls and one liner returned emails stating "I will get back with you" which never happens. AVOID the Gainesville Florida campus at all cost-they do not have their programs, support staff, and instructors together!!! Basically, not worth the thousands of dollars you... Read More

I have been attending Saint Leo for over two years now. I have about 10 months to go and I will have my BA in Human Resource Management. Let me say first, that I have always been taken care of by the administration, staff, etc. I have always been able to rely on them for answers to my questions. If there was an issue, I would shoot an email and get a response/solution the next day, if not sooner. No problems with financial aid, or anything else logistically. As far as the education quality, I found... Read More

Attended this University at a satellite military campus at Fort McPherson and Fort Gillem, Georgia. A cadaver could pass these classes. Although some instructors (albeit very few) were excellent, others did not challenge the students at all, although I am sure that many of these students feel they were really challenged and felt that they had earned their degrees. This proves that anyone can get a degree. I was so disgusted by it all, I did not attend graduation -- I was the class valedictorian!... Read More

I am enrolled in St. Leo's Accounting program. I have found the staff supportive beyond the wildest dreams. The course work is challenging, but I am able to choose when and where I can study. The program is semester hours and not quarter hours, so compare apples to apples and not apples to oranges. Anytime you are in an institution that has 17,000 plus students there is bound to me a hiccup or two. At least it's not 50,000 or 60,000 like U of F or Florida State. I have had a hiccup getting a few... Read More

My husband and I have both attended St. Leo. Not once have they gotten anything right when it comes to financial aid. Every term we have to get on the phone with them and try to figure out what is going on. Twice they have switched my adviser without warning so I had no idea who to contact for assistance. They promoted a staff member that completely dropped the ball on getting my paperwork submitted in time. I have had teachers that were not really there to help. It felt more like I had a baby sitter... Read More

The school requires you to get your refund on a Higher One card. This card charges you outrageous fees just to use your money. The only way around that is to transfer you money to a checking or savings account, but in doing that you have to wait longer to get your money. Everything about this school has been a complete ripoff. I very much want to finish my degree and will be doing so elsewhere.

As alumni week approaches I was doing a search on Saint Leo University and came across this site. I am floored at some of the negative comments. I attended Saint Leo University Online for five years and earned my B.A. and M.B.A. in that time. I can only say great things about the online degree programs offered here. This is not to say that all things were smooth sailing, there were some wrinkles that needed to be ironed out. However, every person that I encountered at Saint Leo was willing to help... Read More

Saint Leo University offers a wonderful online program. The flexibility of the online B.A. enables me to complete college without sacrificing my job or time with my family. Every department I have worked with has knowledgeable and friendly employees; they truly seem to portray the Core Values of Saint Leo.

I also enjoy the diverse group of people in each class. There are people from all over the world attending the online program. The different perspectives on business topics broaden the entire classes view on each subject. The professors are well-versed in their disciplines and share many real world experiences with the class. I enjoy knowing how the subject I am learning is applied in the workforce.

All in all my experience with Saint Leo University online has been extremely positive. I would recommend this school to anyone who is willing to listen.

I took a Statistics class online at Saint Leo University, which was through the OCICU. It was the worst online class I ever took. It was extremely difficult and the book didn't explain things in enough detail. I emailed the instructor for help, but she rarely got back to me in time. I ended up having to get help from someone locally, who delt with numbers and statistics on a daily basis, and they couldn't even understand the book.

Luckily, I did pass the class, but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.... Read More

No one really appreciates the degrees one earns here in my experience. They like to hear USF or UF.

Furthermore when I started the Master's program it was a mess. Could never get hold of the instructor and the counselors were about useless.

Finally after not being able to contact the instructor about recieving a password to log on to an online site St. Leo helped me drop the class but almost didn't want to refund my money. As much money as one pays to go here they should help the students find jobs... Read More
