Worst school ever. Please do not attend. They do not teach, they just assign busy work. You never have the opportunity to go over misssed question on test. Cost alot of money with no guidance. I am in the program now but looking to transfer. I'm very disappointed!

Do not go here

Do not go to this university to do pharmacy. Get ready to take 2 test EVERY week and sit in class for hours. You dont learn anything just here to pass. The professors cant teach. You teach yourself and each professor thinks their class is more important but we have 6 classes each quarter.

As I read through each review I am terrified at how accurate the description of staff and financial issues are. I decided to transfer schools when I was told I could not take more than two classes at a time. That bothered me. So I did some research- All a I can really tell those who are looking into online school is- DO YOUR RESEARCH! If the school does not tell you up front how much each credit will cost, forget them. South was on probation for fraud not too long ago. Once I realized I was being... Read More

This school is a joke! The staff that is suppose to guide and assist you through the program is VERY RUDE. The classes are self taught and you have to find your own clinical rotations. And if you are unable to find locations that is your problem. As I was told by the regional coordinator it is my responsibility to find a preceptor not hers, even though I had called sixty locations. I am transferring schools. They care about money, not student success. Choose any school besides this one.

Steer clear of South University. They are a for-profit business (not an institution of higher education) and they run all of their departments that way. They don't care about the students; money is their only object. I was a student from 2008-2011 and graduated. The coursework was not meaningful and I question the validity of my MBA compared to other schools. You can never get in contact with your advisor, financial aid, or academic services. They don't even offer unofficial transcripts - you have... Read More

Ridiculous school. Won't release your transcripts until you have paid them in full. Plus, they sell your loans to a collection agency. The instructors weren't too bad, they were educated. I could never get a hold of anyone, and having an even harder time since I've left.

I graduated with a 4 year degree from this school. Graduating meant everything to me as I was a high school drop out with only a 9th grade education. I busted my butt for 4 years to do the best I could to succeed. I did end up graduating and for that I am thankful. Throughout my schooling I was contacted by my academic advisor and financial advisor regularly- which was awesome as it helped to keep me on track. However, once I graduated- all contact stopped. I began receiving harassing calls from... Read More

The college is BS. I went online for about 3 months before I decided to transfer. I done a bachelor's degree in Public health and majored in biology. I had a $5000 grant, and also had to take out a $5000 student loan, for 1 semester may I add. And I just got a letter saying I owed them another $800. And they didn't even send me the right amount of my reimbursement, not even half of what the DOE told me what I would get. The counselors are there to help all the way, UNTIL your enrolled. I called my... Read More

Unfortunately everything posted on here about the South NP program is true. They are a predatory school. I entered the NP program April 2018. I have had no help from the professors in fact they have attempted to use discriminatory grading practices to which I had to threatening calling an Ombudsman. Its quite funny how they could then act in a fair and responsible manner. My academic advisor is an absolute sarcastic child when I need help. Who actually laughs at me when at call and ask questions.... Read More

I was pleased when I first started. Now? I am less than pleased. SUO is in the top 5 mistakes I have made in my life. I needed to withdraw from classes due to extreme situations occurring in my life. I was assured that I would not be charged, because I withdrew in time. It has become apparent that that is NOT so. I also needed help with 2 classes I failed, due to being in the hospital on and off, and having my son soon after. I was left out to dry... nothing was done. I needed to submit a total of... South is a Great school. A GREAT HIGH COLLEGE. The classes are challenging. They give you options to take 2 classes at one time every 5 weeks. The advisors are extremely helpful. I just love everything about South University. I am currently at the end of my program.

They get you in too fast. Before FA even processes. The FA department is the worst group of people I have ever encountered. They are unprofessional, rude, loud, and don't know jack about FA. Make sure you know your FA, don't trust them at all. The instructors where great. I felt bad for them though because even they did know what heck was going on. They move so fast through the classes. So every "semester" is like a mini-semester at a real college. But yet they charge more than real colleges. They... Read More

CHOOSE another school that CARES about your success, not your wallet. Classes are completely self-taught with no provisional lectures. You are on your own as far as finding clinical sites. Grading between instructors are very inconsistent, most are more concerned about your APA writing format than content. Keep in mind with NO help from classes, they are now using webcams to monitor students for exams and giving tests that are not always relevant to class material covered in required textbooks. Some... Horrible institution. You will be tested on material not covered in the reading. You will not be taught anything as the "professors" are merely facilitators. From the beginning of this program I have brought forth concerns with the lack of guidance within the courses, the lack of lectures, and the lack of follow through when there are issues. I am now 20k into the program so I have to finish what I started. I love to learn. I love to test. I have been waiting for the opportunity to get my Master's... Read More

I am still amazed how you can have professors that just graduated in a school that offers a doctorate program (without a higher level like a residency). Their professors are all family members, and they dont care if they are not qualified to teach, as long as the whole family is in. The school just wants your money. They dont care if you learn or not, thats reality. I was one of the top students in my class, and I can say I felt I knew very little after graduation. When it comes to rotations, most... Read More

Be very careful with this university. They over bill your student loan provider. I had opted out of e-text books and they still billed me for it. They charge you a clinical fee of $500.00 when you take your first class for the ARNP program that is non refundable ( even though you do not start clinicals until the end of the program). If you drop out of the program or you switch to a degree that doesn't require clinicals you do not get the money back. I had one bill that wasn't fully covered by my... Read More

Please I beg you, don't even think of attending this south university. Preparation is very poor and they hit you with exam when they know you have no choice of leaving the school. " if you don't pass this exam, you cannot continue with the program'. If you cannot find a face-face class, please go to a school that will give you value for your money and prepare you for career

I will be graduating from South University in August and I am very dissatisfied with this school and their online program. First of all, it is completely self taught, second of all they provide you with ZERO help with finding clinical site rotations, and lastly they are not allowing me to walk in the year of 2018. I have paid South University nearly 60K dollars and they only offer a graduation ceremony to the online students once a year. I finish the program in August and they expect me to want to... Worst nursing school ever! Only cared about money and payment. Couldn't even get transcript bc I was on payment plan/student loan and didn't pay in full up front. Had to talk to high level manager and beg for one copy. Would not recommend!!! Go somewhere else if you are in nursing!
