"The worst school ever! Way over priced and they could care less about your education. They tell you if you have a problem they will fix it. Except they tell you one thing and then side with the teacher. Even when she/he is unethical and unprofessional."

"I'm in my 4th semester of Health Information Management. Every school in Ft Myers is expensive.. I did the research. I chose this college because The American Health Information Management Association recommended this school for the program and is recognized and is an accredited program for AHIMA. To keep the expenses down I was able to receive 2 grants. When I graduate my loans will be down to 15,000, so I don't understand why people are paying over 30,000 if you keep a 4.0 grade point and apply for scholarships and do the community outreach grant you can make your loans and college costs more affordable. The school and staff seem to be more stable now that Southern Tech took over. Most of the teachers I have had have some type of work experience in the HIM program so that is a plus."

"I DO NOT recommend this school to anyone. It is a waste of time and money I have to pay back all this money and I wasted 18 months of my life and only needed 6months of what I was really attending there for which was Medical billing and coding. Most of the time you are teaching yourself and there were only 3 teachers that really cared about the students. I wish I would have not attended this school. CORP is a joke they care NOTHING about the students and what they are learning they put people in positions that should not be there. They put someone that had just graduated as a teachers and made him the head of dept. and he didn't know ANYTHING about teaching or how to even do anything. I really feel this school should be shut down. My externship I like where I went but it was not in the field what I attended the school which all of my fellow student all complained about the same thing. Take my advice and DO NOT go to STC run and don't look back. The people in financial aid are crocked as heck they will not give you the money owned to you but run you down to pay them."

"I am 36K in the hole for an associates that has gotten me NO WHERE. I struggle to pay my student loans and because of this I am scared to even go back to school because I do not want to rack up any more debt. I have been lucky with jobs but only for my experiance not for my degree. I was stuck doing customer service from 2004 (graduation) to 2014. 10 years and I was still stuck on the phones making $14 an hour. ======DO NOT DO IT======= Go to a community collage, yes it is a little harder to just walk in and start getting your degree but trust me, when you are trying to decide if you should pay your student loans or buy groceries it is not fun. Fed Student Loans do not care that you can barely afford your bills. They will try and work with you but what I have to pay is still more than what I can afford. It is a constant struggle for me. Just don't go to any of these schools. Financial services are great for this school because they want your money"

"At last the school goes under and sells the business to Southern Technical. The name change will not correct the issues of management. This is the worst possible school around. Credits are not accepted by anyone. Employers do not recognize the education from SWFC as valid. I was ashamed to watch the best instructors be dismissed from employment while they kept instructors that did not have credentials, yes, several were teaching classes without degrees or a lesser degree in another subject area. Program managers without a degree in the same field. The more I think about it, the department of education and the accreditation should look into this school. I believe the schools owes money back to the students for taking advantage of them. Another sad feature of this entire event is that the bottom feeders that were left after the change are still employed at Southern Technical. If Southern Technical's executives only knew the truth, it would be a different scenario."

"I learned a hard lesson that cost me $20,000+ interest and 2 years of worthless classes. Yes, I might have learned a few things, however it didn't count for anything on my transcripts. Please don't do what I did, just suck it up and go to a public tech school or community college. Don't give these people your money for nothing."

"I enjoyed going here until the teachers started dropping like flies. We were two weeks into a course when one of our teachers was fired and we were left primarily on our own. One of the teachers did her best to help us but she had a class of her own to attend to. Then my extern was the worst, I ended up at two different places and neither of them taught me what was on our required learning sheet. When I complained I was told that if they wanted me to color with a crayon the whole time to do it that at least I get my hours. That is the moment I felt disappointed with the school the most. I thought the purpose of the extern was for some experience. I did like all but one of my professors though. The changing of office staff is also a problem as some of them said they cared but when it came down to it they didn't. I feel that they should spend more time on the material needed to get out in the field and less time on the material not as important. I was a straight A and B student so I am not a disgruntled student. I am disappointed that they couldn't find time to send at least a sympathy card when my brother passed recently. I started out doing Medical Billing and Coding which half way through the program was changed to Medical Office administrator. Can't find a job there so finishing the MA program hoping for better luck."

"I had attended from 2004 to 2005, even finishing a semester early with a 3.96 GPA, I had only one B so that ruined my perfect 4.0. The instructors that I had were nice. However, after graduating I was unable to find a job related to my degree of Criminal Justice. I even applied for Loss Prevention at Wal-Mart and their degree was not even recognized. In fact,on the list of schools, nope, even that was not recognized. Seeing just how worthless one of their degrees were, I had to start over at a Community College. Out of 96 credits earned there, only 2 or 3 classes had actually transferred. I hope that they face the same fate as the Corinthian Colleges."

"Since my first visit to SWFC I was accepted as an older student. It took me 5 summers to finally decide that I was smart enough to take the assessment test, but that was only with encouragement of the student advisor. I have been encouraged on a consistent basis and accepted. I thought that being older I would have a harder time fitting in. The financial aide office has been very helpful. I won't say that everything as been easy but since I ask a lot of questions. I know I can be daunting. The registrars office is wonderful and helpful at every turn. Mr. G, my program manager is excellent. He listens to his students and his teaching style is great with any age student. He is very interactive and brings out discussions to help understand the topic. He a great professor and a great program manager"

"This was the 5th school I attended over the decade or so I studied for various degrees and certs. I atended the HVAC with the intensions of getting certified and starting a small business of my own. The ex- army recruiter lied to me about course material and commercial training. The board of directors lied about taking care of the problems that existed as so did the Deans(2) absolutly the worst training and classes I have ever paid for and it would have been cheaper to go to an actual college or community college. Some teachers"professors" as they liked to be called did not even have a 2 year community college background, off the street basically. When they do not have a "professor" to teach a class they will give you independant study LOL LOL that means for 20 dollars an hour for what the school will charge you to sit somewhere and read a manual or just go home, this is for the entire duration of this class 2 months. They are absurd and if you make any waves get ready to be punished go from an A to D no fs you will drop and they may not be able to bill federal student loans on your behalf. They commit FROG,try finding someone to take notice of what is going on with these people. Do not go here,go to a school where your credits count and are cheaper to get. Do not listen to "we are accredited" BS bs bs acredidation of central congo where they take all the course material this school offers. If you want to chance it for other courses do not say someone never tried to tell you, only when it is too late and they have your money or you have a 30k student loan to repay,it is when you realize it.. Yes I am very upset and have nothing good to say and feel completelly ripped off and wasted 95% of my time. Ask former teachers about them, they all share the same view(most). All of the teachers I had were fired or quit only after 9 mnths? even the dean was fired. Ask yourself a few questions after reading this novel is this true or not? whay would someone spend so much time typing this stupid essay? what would this person gain from this? teachers are required to fill out surveys like the one I am doing and give short praises about the school. I will continue periodicaly filling these out. If I get one person to actually take the time to search for a good school and save them from this misery and potential 30k student fee that could end any further schooling or destroy a future carrer it was worth every typed letter. SOMEONE with athority please investigate this place. this school has ruined many students and cost them millions at least the good old tax payers money FED student loans should be investigated I have stories to share to any FED person email me."

"This school provides inadequate education for their students, the teachers are ill equiped, ill informed, and uneducated for the course requirements. The teachers are petty, and not willing to give out deserving grades even after a grade review! Not sure of the certification status of this private school, but Southern Technical College should be in 'Teach-Out'; like their obliged counterparts! Thank you so incredibly much for listening! "Took from graduating in 2009 until this year 2015 for me to find employment with an associated degree in medical administration & a diploma in medical billing & coding. Im finally currently employed, but not in the field I went to school for. the school failed to tell me that I needed to be "certified" to get anywhere & they were no help with job placement. now im stuck on 20,000$ worth of debt. if any one looks in to legal advise for "deceptive acts" or something along that line, let me know. this schools has been screwing over a lot of people for a lot of years & its not fair."

"This is not to be disgruntle so curb yourself before you jump to conclusions. the majority of the teachers in this school want what is best for the students and do their best at times. unfortunately the administration of the school is very lacking. the buck is passed along so much that it has dirt on it from years ago. if you have additional financial aid and you want it they would prefer to tell you what ever you want to hear instead of releasing it to you in a timely manner they will continue to lie to you and say it is on its way yet will not let you know what is holding it up from being released.. in addition the employees are so scared of getting fired that if you ask a question about the corporate office it is like a grenade hit the floor and everyone ducks or runs for cover. This school is here to make a profit and if it is able to get into your wallet then you did not do enough research or just jumped at whatever came your way like I did. do I regret coming to this school no, I met many great people but the cost to benefit ratio is way off."

"This clown college. What a JOKE. Waste of time and rob you blind. Teachers seem like they were hired off the street. The financial aid is like a bunch of robots that have their head so far up their ass they couldn't even tell you what day it is. If I were you reading this right now I would keep looking a community college would be a much better and reasonable option. -STC dropout and I could have made a better decision."

"The PC campus is run by a bunch of egotistical, unqualified, money grabbers. The instructors are mostly unqualified. Not sure why ACICS or DOE doesn't shut them down. Ever since STC took over it has gone down. Campus Director is a liar and doesn't care about students. Save your money."

"This school might sound great and act great, but in reality they are money hungry hounds. I was told after completing school for my AS in Medical Assisting that they would help all they could to try and find jobs and help with job placement..did any of that happen. NOPE. After graduation, you are on your own. The teachers were the best part, I cant say anything bad about them..well okay maybe one thing, they (the Sanford location) goes through teachers like water, not even joking. Its your call on where you want to go and what you want to do with the rest of your life, but im just letting you know my experience. Here I am 3 years later, NOT in my field of study (many places didn't even know the name of the college) and drowning in student loan debt. sorry but $36,000 was NOT worth it ..had I known .."

"This was the first time I had ever put myself in a degree program. I did not realize that they were a "for profit" college. During the initial interview, they danced around the fact that they were a for profit institution. It was very confusing, not only to me, but to quite a few other students. The faculty were great and they were able to give more of a "one on one" experience with their classes. I just didn't agree with the $30,000 price tag with 18 months of college for an associates of science degree. When looking into colleges, please take the time to look into whether the college you choose is for profit, or not for profit. It will greatly be to your advantage."

"It is a rip off. When I left they made me pay them cash "because I didn't finish semester". They said my student loans didn't cover it. 6 months with that school and I owe about $12,500. Within a month of being at the school 5-6 employees left. The Financial Aid counselor was not even supposed to be allowed to be employed with that type of position. I loved my teachers there, but they didn't go to school to teach. They have a certificate or teaching. They lied and told me my credits would transfer. None of them transferred and I have to start fresh at the Community College. I will be spending less money going to do all prerequisites and 2-year program at another school than I did in 6 months at Southern Technical College. They charge more for their classes than at some Universities. Don't waste your time or money. They are salesman, they know what to say and they are not honest with you. I can not even tell you how many lies I was told as a student there. If I would have finished the program I would owe about $32,000 and since I left they have increased tuition."
