As a parent I must say that SWFC IS A BEYOND A JOKE-do no go there..My daughter graduated from there in 2009 with an Assoc. degree in Surgical tech. She learned absolutely nothing. I mean "NOTHING". She is in debt for over $20,000 and has nothing to show for. Her last semester was a joke. She went thru 5 different teachers for her instruments and they didnt even have them for her to learn with. It was awful. this school left such a bad taste in her mouth that she doesnt want to be a Surg. tech anymore. Till today she has no job. They say they will help you find a job for your lifetime-thats bull-Dont trust them and dont waste your money on this school..They teach you "Nothing".

I graduated from Southwest Florida College in September of 2010 with an Associates in Network Engineer. The school is a joke and very unprofessional at times.

The classes depending on the teacher are not well thought out or planned. They actually want you to pass each class, put it this way as long as you just show up to each class and do your home work you will get a B, which it's good to get a B but the point is to actually learn something.

The school does nothing to help you get a job once you graduate or while your attending classes. All these private colleges like these are similar some are worse ans some are better. The best thing you could do is go to a community college it will be harder but it will cost you a 60 percent less than a private college.

I cannot speak for the other campuses, but the Brandon Campus is wonderful! The Dean and teachers are great, and the programs are really informative. I spend a great deal of time studying and doing my work because I take my education extremely serious , but honestly the employees there work hard to make sure people pass.

The financial aid officer could use some help getting to the enrolled students as much as they do new students, but really, I could not ask for anything else from them. Regardless of what anyone else says, this school is worth the price.

I do not regret enrolling at all!

I just graduated from this school, its definitely not worth the 31,000 dollars that it costs to go here. Financial aid gave me 10,000 and I still owe this crap school 21,000 in loans. There's only ONE teacher there who I would consider a GOOD teacher her name is Ms.Becky. The other teachers never last more than a month or two, probably because they realize how bad that school is too .

The deans are also crap, they never have the time to help you, and they could care less about your problems..Oh they tell you ,you will be certified in this and that and so many other things, but your truly not. The school's credits only fully transfer to one other bs school mount state university ,which the WHOLE UNIVERSITY consists of only 2 class rooms and a break room. I honestly would not advise even my worse enemy to go to that school.

All i want from the school I go to is to make sure the teachers are knowledgeable and care about their students. The teachers I've had at Southern Technical College all care about their students and I really feel like they care about what happens to me.That's all I can ask for.

If you want Teachers who care and know what they are talking about, STC is for you. You'll learn a lot.

If you are not from "the Hood" don't waste your time. Students walk around in flip flopps and bootie shorts!! Some of the women faculty are worse. They try to see who can wear the tightest clothes!!

The financial aide department will have you do thier work for them. There is no security because the "Renta Cop" just talks to all the females or sleeps in his chair in front of the building!!

I had a great exprience at STC. The teachers were the best! They always spent extra time with me when I needed help.

There were a few "complainers" at school there, but for the most part, they complain all the time anyway.

I couldn't have made a better choice when I picked this school. I get alot more personal attention than I get at other places.

I am a Medical Billing and Coding student at STC. They are so helpful and caring. The dean helped me find my strengths and motivated me to be great. The taechers are so nice and easy to work with and I have learned so much. I am happy with my choice to attend STC.

I recently graduated from Southern Technical College. I personally had a great experience at thsi school and not only did they give me a great education and I currently have an Associates Degree, but I was able to enroll at Mountain State and was able to transfer all of my credits toward a bachelors degree.

I know that there are alot of schools out there that don't live up to the hype, but STC is legit - they delivered on everything that they promise and more. I getting my bachelors degree and I have a great job!

I had no idea there was a different kind of school besides lecturing all day, studying all night, and writing tons of notes in hopes of passing a class. Here, after they lecture about phlebotomy and injections, guess what?

We actually get to practice on each other. They have a full "lab" that simulates the actual career experience so that when we leave here, we'll be very prepared. I was always scared of something like sticking a needle in a person. What i got here at STC was a lot of confidence, that can only come from all the labs i've gon through and the help of the instructors. They really care about me succeeding here.

I remember at VCC, teachers would be the first ones out of the class when it was over! Not so here.

I love it, I can't wait to graduate so I can finally put to practice everything that I learned here, except as a career!
