"The overall program was remarkably great! Most of the staff is wonderful, supportive, but at times didn't communicate well amongst each other. They seem to have let our group or cohort slip through the cracks on many features such as mentoring with seniors or alumni, recognition and other events the class prior to us seemed at have more advantages. Although the many sacrifices made cost me a lost job due to being a participant in the PCWCP (Public Child Welfare Program) and presentation lacked the the details of what the program actually consisted of. The program is presented as a great ordeal, but adds more stress and extra classes and trainings to be completed with an extremely stressful on boarding process to obtain employment with the Cabinet for Health and Family Services. Our cohort were mostly older students with families and children, and missed out on some many activities and events with them, gave up full-time jobs for part time work or not able to work at all. The pressure was mainly on the senior year of the program, where many things were crammed in a short period of time. Be prepared to not be able to work a full-time job with a family if either the Undergrad or Master's program. The quality of the education is wonderful, and you get what you pay for at a private school rate."

"I loved Spalding University and the education that I was provided there. The instructors were very knowledgeable and respectful of the students as well as always willing to assist in any way. The education that I received at Spalding University assisted in preparing me for my b work career."

"Spalding University is a private college with a small teacher to student ratio. Professors recognized your face and knew your name so that you didn't feel anonymous in a large crowd of unknowns. I liked the flexibility of night classes and felt prepared to work in my field."

"I am currently attending Spalding University and will complete my Masters in Education in Spring of 2017. Overall, I have had an excellent experience, in spite of certain issues. The faculty in the Education Department is stellar. They have decades of experience in the public school system, and some have administration experience as well. All of the faculty currently work in the public school system, in some form or another. This allows them to use real experiences, in order to help me become a better teacher. They are supportive and provide a rigorous curriculum. As a teacher, one can only be partially prepared for his or her career by college. The rest of the education comes through teaching in the classroom. Spalding gave me to the opportunity to experience classroom observation as well. In Louisville, Kentucky, it's about "who you know". I have been given the chance to network and make connections that will last for years. This has helped me in my current position and also gave me the chance to recommend other students for positions in the public schools. The only concern I had with the university was due to a timing issue. During my attendance, there were several changes in the Education Department and programs, and my program needed to be extended. There were "too many hands in the pot" and sometimes I was given answers that were incorrect. I also have run out of financial aid for my last semester. I am still working on obtaining funds for my last two classes. Truly, though, that's just life. If I spend my time blaming people, I can't not progress. As a teacher, I need to be flexible and overcome the obstacles. Even though there were some issues with my education, I will graduate with a 4.0 GPA and will be the best teacher I can be, EVERY SINGLE DAY. I attribute my drive to my confidence in the education I received from Spalding University."

"Spalding School of Professional Psychology is an excellent PsyD program. The faculty are always available for help, the classes are useful and relevant. There are several financial aid opportunities, from graduate assistantships to national grants that the program continually applies for. The program has a multitude of connections to professionals in the area, and I feel confident that I will be able to find a job after I graduate in the area or otherwise. They match 100% of their students to internships, and their APA match rate is above the national average. The negatives: the program is not very diverse in terms of students, and it's a commuter college so it's not really set up for "college life". Also sometimes there are professors for the additive (less important) courses that are not the best. Otherwise, there are honestly not that many cons to this program in my opinion. I'm very glad this is the school I picked for graduate school and would not have changed my choice if I could go back."

"Overall it is a great university. However my last semester I had a professor that did not teach all the necessary content for the certification I will apply for at graduation."

"Spalding University's Auerbach School of Occupational Therapy is a very strong academic program. It prepares its students through rigorous coursework and practice in fieldwork. The faculty is supportive of the students and is always available for help or advice. Another aspect that is both a pro and a con is the location of the school. It is a pro because it provides many opportunities for fieldwork placements and for volunteering. It is a con because of the surrounding area of the campus. Sometimes safety could be questioned."

"I attended Spalding University for my BSN and was exceptionally pleased with the level of knowledge and expertise of my professors. I felt I received the best education possible and felt I was prepared for the challenges that a BSN would encounter. So there was no other choice for my Master's degree except Spalding! I am currently taking two classes for the summer session and am very happy with the knowledge I have acquired so far."

"The program that I am in is one of the best in the city, but the cost is very high. I know I will get a great return on my investment, but paying for it will be expensive. The professors are highly educated and I know that I'm getting the best education money can buy!"

"I returned for graduate school after ten years and my biggest concern was adjusting to student life again while also working full time. The level of support that I've received has been astounding. The professors are always available for questions and advice and are also understanding that most of the students are working professionals and are facing high demands with school, work and family. The nursing knowledge that I am attaining at Spalding is not only enhancing my practice skill but is also teaching me to be more empathetic to my patients and embracing a new way to manage their care. I highly recommend Spalding for their graduate nursing program."

"I am very glad that I chose Spalding for my graduate program. The faculty here are extremely attentive and available. They all seem to have a high interest in the success of all their students. I was nervous about going back to school since it had been ten years since I completed my undergrad education. With their guidance, I quickly resumed the student role and already can tell that my confidence and knowledge is advancing. I would definitely recommend this program, especially for practicing nurses who are returning after several years."

"Spalding is a very diverse school with dedicated faculty who allow students to easily contact them. not only about school issues, but life issues as well. The city of Louisville, where Spalding is located, is very diverse and offers large city amenities while maintaining a small town vibe. This is a great place to have an educational experience"

"I would have to say the pros of my graduate program are small classrooms, open door policy with the professors, evening classes for those of us that work on a full-time basis. The cons are not enough parking spaces, need more diversity of student and facility."

"The best thing about being in the Accelerated Nursing Program is that I will be able to graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 12 months. I will be able to apply for a job and become a registered nursing within a year of starting the program. The only concept that may be of some difficulty is the fast pace and the workload. Because it is considered a fast track program, the amount of work is to the maximum. It is a lot of work to be in this type of nursing program, but the benefits definitely weigh out the disadvantages."

"This is a nice small program, where the professors make it their personal goal to teach and communicate their experiences and knowledge of the buisness to their students. I enjoy getting to know other students and networking."

"I feel that the pros of my graduate program is that you can take up to 6 classes in a year and they try their hardest not to over load you with work so they recomend only taking one class at a time. It is a fast paced program. Great professors who care and want you to succeed! Cons: I got thrown in last minute so I feel like I didnt have a chance to breath for a while, classes only offered one time a day after 5. only certain graduate classes are offered at certain times so you might have to wait to take a class later."
