Student & Graduate Reviews (10)
Spartan College is a top notch school and industry name. Let's just start by putting that out there. While moving to Tulsa seemed hard at first, it is worth it, you're obviously not in a big city, but if you want to better your career in aviation this is it. Everyday I was getting my hands dirty just like I do at work, and the fast paced programs at Spartan with the affordable price made it all the more worth it. The bottom line is if you want to be in the workforce quickly and have a great name on your resume, Spartan is it.
I graduated from Spartan College this spring. I've always had a passion for taking things apart and putting them back together. In high school I knew I wanted to do something that involved that- but I never thought aviation would be the field for me. I heard from a family member about Spartan College and how the Aviation Maintenance Technology would suit me well based on my interests. Today, I get to work in airplanes and get challenged in ways I didn't know I could be. Spartan did prepare me for this well, because I came in with almost no knowledge of how the aviation industry worked, I can tell you Spartan did give me all the tools I needed.
With a small class sizes and professors with experience in the industry, Spartan College is a no brainer for those who want to work in aviation. One of the things I enjoyed about the Tulsa campus was the facilities we had access to. Every day you came in knowing you were going to get your hands dirty with something and that was an experience that I enjoyed.
I graduated from Spartan College in the spring of 2016. Like most new grads I was a bit nervous about finding a job. I went on 3 interviews within the first month of graduation, all of the employers who interviewed me were most impressed with my resume having Spartan on it. The school is a name in the industry and helped me get land a job (2 of the 3 I applied at offered me jobs). I'd also like the point out in my years at Spartan the instructors were great and like other reviews on there, they teach you for how you will have to deal with a task in the real world. If you want to actually work in aviation and not just have a degree in something Spartan is right for you.
I wanted to work with airplanes since I was a kid. I chose to to go Spartan College and it was worth every penny I paid. Today I work with a major airline and honestly the skills I learned I use daily in a professional place. The bottom line with Spartan College is you will learn everything that you will do in a day in work. You will be prepared for real world situations and that's priceless in this field.
As someone who grew up on the East Coast moving to Tulsa where Spartan College is located was quite the transition, but the staff and fellow students made it very easy for me. I graduated from the flight program about a year ago and I fly planes everyday now. With that said, Spartan did prepare me well. My training put me situations that I deal with daily and I feel like that experience alone is why I would tell you to look into Spartan if you want to fly.
When I completed my college degree I was stuck. I wasn't sure what my next step was going to be. I was always interested in aviation so I decided to enroll at Spartan. Spartan gave me a well rounded education. I was able to get a good job and move up quickly.
I enjoyed my time at Spartan. I was an Online student and would have completed my Bachelor with them if it had not been for the fact that my employer requires a certain accreditation that Spartan let expire in 1997. The online course was difficult at times when it came to the Math and Physics portions due to lack of video instructions but questions were very quickly answered.
I enjoyed my time at Spartan College. Their was a hands on approach that made it fun and educational at the same time. I really loved the fact that my peers came from all over the country and the world. I still have friends that live across the globe.
When I read that Spartan has been around for decades I knew that it was a legit school that I can attend to receive my NDT degree. Tulsa was as I suspected, a snoozer town, but I made the most of it. The instructors were overall helpful as long as you put the effort you succeeded. Best part about boring town was that it helped me study more and party less.
