"From the moment I stepped on campus at St. John Fisher, I was welcomed with open arms and became a part of the Fisher family. The curriculum challenged me in many different ways, preparing me for graduate school and life as a professional. In the end, I wouldnt trade anything for my time at St. John Fisher because of the lifelong relationships I built there and how the school allowed me to grow into the person I am today."

"Great small university that i feel is growing too quickly. I went for undergrad and grad school. Now they are building in all the green space and the tuition goes up every year, not sure if its worth the huge cost at this point."

"St. John's College is truly one of a kind. There are few schools that offer a great books program, even fewer schools where that program is the only major, and only one school where that major is the center of campus life. Some may consider it a weakness that St. John's encloses its students in a bubble from the outside world in order to think deeply about great books that are over 100 years old, or even 1000 years old, but that isn't a fair look at what the Program offers. On the surface, St. John's offers a look into the great works of Western Civilization, but in essence, the program offers a glimpse into what has persisted from thousands of years ago up until now, and is still continuing to persist: that is the relationship and interaction between man and the world around him. St. John's College considers the inquiry into this relationship so seriously that it influences even leisurely activities such as the intramural program, joking in the dining hall, or drinking with your friends on the weekend. If four years of this sounds appealing, then St. John's is the school for you."

"I could not have asked for a better undergraduate college to attend. They do not call us "Fisher Family" for no reason. The whole community and atmosphere here is overwhelming open and comfortable for any one to join in on. We are an quite a small college, which I personally love! Being able to pass people and know most of them, or at least some of them is comforting to me and makes me feel like I am right at home. The professors here are the same way here. Since the school is smaller, every professor that I have had knows my name and remembers me years after I have had them. They truly care about their student's success and needs and this was proved to me even more so during my current year as a senior when applying to law schools. A handful of professors took the time to help look over things needed for the application process and took time out of their busy schedules to write me letters of recommendation. This was all extra, out of class time that they dedicated to me to help me succeed and get accepted into law school. When I told them that I had been accepted they were over the moon about it, and could not be happier for me. This was one of the best feelings and just secured my love and passion for Fisher even more. I had the best four years here, and could not imagine myself going anywhere else for my undergraduate career."

"SJFC and their Ed.D. program is a thorough and competitive program. They want you to succeed ad provide high quality education to prepare you to write and defend your dissertation. The staff and faculty are champions of education and best practices!I highly recommend this program."

"St. John Fisher College is a beautiful private school in the suburbs of Rochester, NY. Being a Fisher Cardinal is an amazing experience. The school is small, but there is always something to do. There are many intramural sports leagues all year long where you can meet a lot of different people. There is an annual dance for charity called the Teddi Dance for Love, which is a 24 hour dance for charity. Academically, Fisher will challenge you to be the best student you can be. The professors really care about their students and Fisher makes you feel at home."

"St. John Fisher's graduate program for Mental Health Counseling has small classroom sizes that foster an interactive learning environment. Most, if not all, professors are practicing counselors in the field and they often relate current problems they encountered into lecture. We are encouraged to have class discussions and also have online discussions via the Blackboard site. There are also several high-tech session rooms where we can practice and record counseling sessions and learn from them. Coursework keeps us busy but is by no means busy work. The students and professors all have solid relationships built on respect and empathy for one another. We are able to talk to our professors about any concerns. The tuition is very affordable compared to other counseling programs in the area. There are also options for part-time or full-time to accommodate student schedules. Lastly, there is an extensive network of St. John Fisher MHC alumni across New York State that faculty have already gotten students in touch with. This is very important for our program internships, post-graduation certification/supervision hours, and eventually career planning. Since our professors are working as counselors it can be difficult to see them for office hours. They almost always respond to emails within a day though and work with you to schedule a good time to meet. Commuting to school is not a problem for me but there is no bus transportation off of campus. It's hard to think of any other cons, St. John Fisher has been everything I hoped for and more from a graduate school."

"While there seems to be a lack of diversity, at least in the graduate programs, the faculty and staff is very accommodating and understanding. The program rigor is has been challenging, however very necessary. I have learned so much and it is all very applicable to my field of study. What I love most, is the theory to practice experiences. The professors teach content that can and should go from theory to practice. Aside from that, the grounds are beautiful, and there is food everywhere. The campus has impeccable technology, that is easily accessible to students and the library is the best, with three floors of information and a third floor designated for studying. Fisher is a pretty awesome school!"

"It's a small program but has great professors. Not impressed with the undergrads who seem like most just got in because their families could afford it. Pittsford is over priced and stuck up. Fine school to commute to but I would never live on campus."

"Pros: The SJFC MBA Program is great for undergraduate alumni seeking a painless application process. Alumni also receive a $500 scholarship for enrolling in the program. Class sizes are small, typically 15-25 students. I'm not just a number to my professors or a first name. Most of my professors know more about me than a general acquaintance. The core course requirements educate me on more areas of business than management. Core course examples are, Integrated Advanced Financial and Accounting Analysis and Business Strategy and Policy. Alumni and Faculty have great contacts to assist students in getting a job. Cons: There is a lack of diversity on campus. Living near campus is expensive. Not many courses are available to take online. Some courses are only offered in either Spring or Fall semesters."

"I have loved every class that I have taken, and all of the professors are wonderful at what they do. The only downside is the timing of the classes being three hours long, but that is unavoidable. The faculty does a great job at breaking up the classes with jokes and witty discussion that is all relevant and aids with the education. I have learned more in one semester in this program than I did in all of my undergraduate years combined."

"The fisher nursing program is one of the best programs in the state of New York. It has paved the way for me in my career thus far as a critical care nurse and the in depth studying and practice in the sim-labs really prepared me for real life nursing care in the hospital. The smaller class sizes and experience/knowledge these professors have that they share with students is second to none. Fisher is an excellent place for any potential nursing degree student who wants to stand out and lead others with their knowledge and skills in the profession upon graduation."

"The Wegman's School of Nursing is an outstanding program for undergraduate and graduate students. The facility has a state of the art simulation center that places students at the bedside and allows them to practice skills they have learned in the hospital and in the classroom. The faculty is phenomenal and are always willing to help their students succeed. The school is located in Rochester NY, a center for many high-quality medical centers. The only significant con would be that the school is expensive, but there are a lot of resources to help students find financial aid."

"Overall, the pharmacy program at St. John Fisher College is a wonderful, intimate environment. The courses are challenging and the teachers utilize the most up-to-date technology available. The faculty truly care about individual student success."

"There are a few pros to my graduate program. The first pro being that there is an ample amount of opportunities for experiential rotation that will allow classroom knowledge to real life. Secondly, this program provide in depth information on each drug related topics as well as disease states. Another pro is the pharmacy program acknowledges community volunteer work and involvement. At St. John Fisher, the staff will help students find volunteer work and help students become leaders in their community. There are cons to my graduate program. One of the con to my graduate program is that students have to find their own internships. Internships in pharmacy is very difficult to find due to the saturation that has increased over the past few years. Another con to my graduate program is that there aren't a lot of scholarships opportunities for students to apply for. This makes it very hard for students to apply for specific pharmacy scholarships."
