"St. Lawrence University is a small liberal arts college in Northern New York that has a strong sense of community and togetherness. Because of the college's isolated location student groups are very popular and active both on campus and in the surrounding communities. Despite its location however there is never a shortage of things to do. Students are always organizing trips and the University has a very strong campus entertainment culture. Classes at St. Lawrence are small and professors are generally laid back and approachable. The campus is primarily residential and is small enough to where you will see a lot of the same people everyday but large enough to still meet new people every now and again."

"St. Lawrence provided top-tier professors who put their students first and unique, rigorous study abroad programs that reveal new cultures and ways of learning. The career services at St. Lawrence did not help me as much as I needed in terms of networking with professionals in my major (Anthropology) and they could only suggest opportunities in the Peace Corps or teaching English abroad. St. Lawrence is a rural campus, so taking advantage of their off-campus study opportunities is necessary for students interested in expanding their worldview. Their dining services are excellent, and the quality of student life is above average for similar private colleges."

"St. Lawrence is a great school with many opportunities to take advantage of. Professors are very available (they have the time and patience to help you). Staff (financial aid, registrar etc) are very helpful and quick in their work. I have never had any problem obtaining any documentation that I needed when applying to programs. The career services center is also a very helpful tool for current and future job seekers. The campus is full of activities even though it is located in a rural area. Campus safety is great, and transportation is available if needed to the nearest airports, hospital appointments, etc. Housing options are plentiful and there is definitely room for every style of student. I highly recommend St. Lawrence."

"Cannot say enough good things about SLU from the financial aid packages to study abroad programs, athletics, food, and academic opportunities! It may seem in the middle of nowhere but is close to many outdoor activities and capital of Canada, Ottawa, Ontario which serves as a great weekend getaway with friends. SLU isn't just a school but becomes a family that you never want to leave."

"St. Lawrence University (SLU) has a beautiful campus, great classes, and interesting programs. There study abroad program is excellent. The administration supports their students when needed. The students have many clubs and events to choose from. There is a big drinking scene on campus which can be difficult to deal with if that is not your thing."

"The best learning experience I could have asked for. I was able to study abroad, I earned a travel research grant, and gained a network of friends that will last me a life time."

"Study hard, engage, and make connections. The school provides you with great tools, but it's up to you to create something good."

"Great tight-knit community with a lot of support. Have to come in already prepared to face academic challenges. Lots of partying happens and great hockey/soccer games are played."
