"Stevens-Henager took myself and a number of my classmates in after ITT Tech closed its doors, stating that all credits would be transferred over. The school then proceeded to load our courses with Psychology-type classes and other courses unrelated to cybersecurity or even computers. This continued for several months until we brought our concerns up to the dean of computer sciences, who acted surprised that we were complaining about not taking computer classes. He told us that we were only 10 months from graduation, and we'd have all we needed in that time. Just prior to this, our first, and only, cybersecurity class was taught by someone who had no idea how to use the OS were were supposed to be practicing on, and told us to "Google things if we needed help" The employees and staff do not care if you are receiving a quality education. They only care about meeting their numbers and producing a profit for the company. Teachers are not knowledgeable, courses are irrelevant, and company seems to target veterans because of the GI Bill. This college is a disgrace to everyone who served, and anyone else who had the misfortune of attending"

"I graduated 2013 with a graphics and web design associates degree which doesn't mean anything because now you're required to have a bachelor's there's not even an associate's degree in graphic design anymore so I felt like I spent over $30,000 on a degree that I can't use they will rip you off they will take all your federal student loans and then make you take a loan through the school we'll watch out"

"I am forever grateful to the fine instructors who assisted me in obtaining my MSN. The online program allowed me to continue working full time while studying. Multiple opportunities opened as a result and I was able to secure a teaching position myself in a nursing program. Thank you Stevens Heneger!"

"I was the only student starting in the period, that I started. They explained that I would have a different class to start, instead of the Orientation Class which is usually the first class, teaching the student portal and resources needed to be successful. So they started me with Sociology and once the class was done, I had been told 4x that the orientation would be the next class. Once again, they gave me a different class (Anatomy, Physiology & Med Terminology) instead of the orientation class, once again. Leaving me at a severe disadvantage for such a heavy course, as I am not familiar with the student portal that should have been taught to me on day one. Of course they are still wanting money, yet they don't know I have been in contact with FAFSA to take the grant money and loans away (which they CAN do) and redistribute it to another college."

"Do not attend this school. They changed my degree/courses and I ended up taking almost 6 months of classes I wasn't even supposed to be enrolled in. I still have to pay for those. They are constantly harassing me about payments despite me never missing a single one and have even gone so far as to send me passive-aggressive mail. All around unprofessional and a complete waste of time."

"Do not go to this college!!!!! All they do is steal your money! I went in thinking I could get a degree and only attended one semester. They now are charging me for the ENTIRE tuition. I never was told where are the loan went? Not one proof of how the loan was dispursed. I am not sure why I have to pay $17,000 when in the end I withdrew properly?"

"The surgical tech dean told me before i completed the admissions process, that i was able to zoom when i gave birth to my daughter. I was going in with support. my sister in law and i were going to go through the program together, since Stevens Henager is all about graduating with friends and family. The problem was when the interviews were over i got a call saying thar i wasn't going to be allowed to continue the program until after i gave birth. Her reasoning was to slap a number on my head and use statistics to identify and categorize me. I was put into the pile of other drop outs just because i was going to have a baby. Now i have to start up 6 months later with no support or help if i need to stay home with the new born, all because she thought i might just drop out anyway. The thing is i was a bad high school student and when she.called to talk about the interview i was holding a 102% in the starting class. I was told that i might have a premature baby but despite that i still showed up except once because i was cramping and was sick. I may not have showed up but i still completed the assignment and quiz that day and got full points for it. So i would love the school to tell me how that looks like a person that is just going to drop out?? This school or a at least the surgical dean is discriminating all because of past people. I don't even want to attend a college that says that they will work with you and support you, but then they go and completely change their story. Stevens-Henager College, all because of one dean is a fraud school."

"Do yourself a favor and educate yourself. Don't believe that Stevens-Henager is a real school. IT'S NOT. They prey on people who think they're too stupid to go to a real college. Trust me, at the time I didn't think I could get into BSU but I needed 2 years of college to join the police force. Stevens-Henager lied saying their credits are recognized and people do this all the time to join the police academy. All your "credits" here are worthless. Any other real college will laugh and nothing will transfer. Trust me, go to a community college. I went 2 years to Stevens-Henager and wracked up $30,000 debt. I ended up going to College of Western Idaho and it was less than $1,000 a semester. With financial aid, I was actually going for free. Stevens-Henager classes are a joke as well. One of the teachers quit so they hired some guy from Micron to try and teach JAVA coding. He didn't know anything and everyone in the class was clueless to the point that they fired him after that month. After 2 years, I didn't learn anything related to computer science. Everything was so dumbed down. I could learn more from a wiki-how. PLEASE, do not go to Stevens-Henager. I know so many people go for their nursing program and they finish their 2 years with a CNA Certification. Guess how much you can make with that? Around $12-$13 an hour. And you're now in debt of $30,000. Hell, my sister took CNA classes in high school and by time she graduated, she was a CNA. So you're paying $30,000 for a high school program."

"I am currently enrolled at Stevens-Henagar college, they have been amazing through helping me get set up all the way to making sure I understand every aspect of the college. They help you through financial aid and understanding your rights as a student. You receive a laptop and tablet through the school that you get to keep after graduation."

"I am two years into the program. So far, I would say that the curriculum itself is good, but it doesn't ask you to think too hard in many of the classes. I have been able to find jobs related to accounting, but it is always with employers who have never heard of the school. I have been turned down because of the rep of the school. It sucks, but I already signed. The cost is ridiculous from any standpoint. I am paying around $25,000 per year. Granted, it isn't super over the top expensive when compared to other schools out of state, but they offer a lot less: no career fairs, no internship assistance, and you don't really have a faculty mentor. Being an accounting major, I do have concerns about my eligibility to become a CPA as the school only has one accreditation and I haven't seen it on the state website. There are some pros, however.Pro 1: You can choose to be full online or in a hybrid curriculum. Being online lets you work at your own pace and the workload isn't ridiculous either. I only had 2 courses that I wasn't able to keep up with and that was due to a lot of outside pressure. Pro 2: The instructors know their stuff! So far, all of my business and accounting courses have been taught by people who have been in the industry for years: CIA's, CPA's, CFO's, and even a previous CEO. There are things to be learned from and the networking opportunity is great if you take advantage of it.Pro 3: The class sizes are small, at least on campus. I haven't been in a physical class with more than 10 students. The majority have about 4 to 6, so you get to know each other pretty well. Online, you have about 15-20 classmates and some of the interaction is good, but most of it obsolete. It only really comes through posts in the weekly (graded) discussion boards. Conclusion: Overall the school is good. Is it worth every penny? No. But does it allow you to have a family while continuing your education? Yes. Furthermore, the lack of weight a degree holds from Stevens-Henager is a problem, so I recommend looking elsewhere to continue your education. Personally, for anything business related, I would look towards Purdue Global. They are structured similarly but have a much better reputation and can make the difference when hunting for a job. The quality of the coursework is great if you actually do the work. There is a notable difference between those who work for themselves and those who find the answers on study sites like Course Hero and Chegg. If you actually do it, you will be well off down the road. I was able to do well during a tax season position at an accounting firm because I actually studied and learned the material. I was able to keep up with a recent OU graduate in my quality of work. The Bottom Line: Do your research. If you are looking for a quick, easy way to move up, this is not it. As you can tell, there are many people here who were ruined because they didn't make the choice to enroll carefully. But if you weigh all the pros and cons and anticipate the debt that you will have to pay later, it will be worth it. Be proactive and get your own scholarships. I know a guy who wrote to they mayor and was given $5,000. People are out there who are willing to help. Just do your part and don't expect others to take care of you. The school is a business after all and it is not their job to hold your hand through everything like in high school. They give you the opportunity and you decide what you make of it."

"Before I even signed up, I was told that my credits we're transferable, and none of them are. After my graduation, I went to BSU, and they almost laughed about Stevens Henager. I have written letters to loan departments, and they refused to help, & now I have a mediocre job, and a school loan garnishment is making me poor now. Where is the Justice at?? A bogus school, that has NO credibility, with an OUTRAGEOUS price, with no hope in sight. I hope that Stevens Henager can sleep at night KNOWING that they're not a legitimate means of education. There was no career advancements, placement or job fairs that would have been more promising. A couple of the instructors we're GREAT!!"

"I'm writing this review to save people grief over financial issues. The schooling was pretty standard to me, though I don't think it's worth $50,000. I had to leave my program early due to health issues, which also led to financial issues. When it came time to start paying back what I owed, the loan company worked fine with me, but it was a completely different story with the school. They insisted I pay nearly $400 a month for the loan that I took with them, and made me jump through so many hoops to get down to $100. As a 20 year old woman, solely supporting herself, that was still a huge stretch for me. When things became dire, I asked to try and move down to $50 until I was able to start paying more again, and they refused to work with me. The agent I worked with even stated that I 'should have considered financial hardship as a possibility' upon leaving my program. Luckily, I made it through the season of hardship without any major consequences, although there were plenty of tears and sleepless nights spent worrying about making the bills. I am still paying on the loan about a year and a half later, still at $100. They continue to send late notices and charge me late fees monthly since I'm unable to pay nearly $400 each time, despite the fact that I have always made my bill on time and paid the full $100 previously agreed upon. I'm currently seeking legal advice on this and another matter related to the school, and will update\leave another review after the matters have been handled. All in all, I would not recommend this school to anyone. They seek out those who struggle, and put up a faade of care and concern for their students, when the harsh reality is that it's all about getting their money, not you making more."

"Attending Stevens-Henager College was a complete waste of time and if you are thinking about going to this institution than I highly suggest you rethink it because employers won't hire you if you graduate from here. They tell you what you want to hear when you sign up, that their graduates get hired, they offer career services and advice to get you into your career faster and that their instructors are good at what they do (which most of them are not). They offer no career advice they just find a job that's been posted online and send it your way to apply to, they say they have "connections" with other businesses to help their graduates get experience which I don't believe they do. As far as I know they don't offer internship or externship opportunities cause I never heard of anyone getting one while earned my Bachelor's Degree. They'll bend over backwards for students who don't care about school or the grade just to keep their attendance level up. I can't tell you how many times when students hadn't turned in anything and the mod was over and they said "get it to me next week" even though they say they "can't and won't accept it once the mod is over". I could go on but ultimately this school and it's degree is not worth it, personally I've only had two interviews since I graduated and I was very tenacious once I graduated looking to get my feet wet and find something I could be happy doing. I still work in a grocery store with no hopes of ever having a career that makes me happy both emotionally and financially which was the point of going to school in the first place. If you choose to go they're just using you and you're wasting your time."

"Absolute worst decision of my life. The medical assisting program is absolute garbage. I wasted 2 years and over 30K with this school. The worst part is that my degree didn't really get me any kind of pay raise. I make just as much as a medical assistant as I did as a CNA (which only cost me $250 to get). The teachers were clueless and it was impossible to contact anyone when you needed them. I did my externship with a clinic one of my instructors personally attended and the physician in that clinic was basically a drug dealer!! He threw pills at anyone he could, including the instructor! I wasn't allowed to do anything in my externship except take vitals and do paperwork. I later moved to a different clinic of my choosing to complete my externship and learned more in the 2 weeks I was there than the previous month of being at the first place I went to. When I got a job as a medical assistant I had to basically relearn everything because I'd been taught wrong on so much of it. I will never, ever recommend this school to anyone."

"Such a trap. I am only attending because I feel forced. I went for about 3 months and realized this is not what I want to do. Which is normal, humans are allowed to change their minds. After I spoke with everyone I needed to, I was informed I owe about 15,000 just for those few months I attended. I felt stuck in a place I did not want to be. I am still stuck and am only attending because of the large debt I would of owed, might as well owe and have something to show for it. After hearing from other graduates I was informed my degree might "not count" in other states. What a joke."

"Great college. I'm a live in caregiver to my cancer ridden husband, and they are 100% understanding when either he or I can not make it to school. The admissions team is absolutely amazing and very, very thorough. I personally recommend the campus, not straight online. The deans are amazing and extremely qualified. In fact all the staff are very qualified and know what they are doing. I can not say enough good things about this college. Their programs have changed drastically and are hands on. In order to go somewhere, you must put in the effort. (I'm a straight A student)"
