"would not recommend attending this college. It will break you spiritually, emotionally and financially! This school finds every way to exploit money from hardworking students! The staff are extremely disrespectful and do not care about the mental health of the students. Dorms are extremely expensive and not worth the money, RAs aren’t qualified and do not offer their assistance at all! I have had nothing but negative experiences since the moment I have came here. The rate of incoming students is decreasing due to Buffalo State’s negative reviewers. Since Fall 2019, almost 25% of freshman did not to return to Buffalo State for the Spring 2020 semester due to the inconsiderate policies, terrible resident life, over-pricing, and abuse of power. In addition, the crime on campus and around campus areas makes students feel unsafe."

"Buffalo State is a great academic institution. The level of curriculum is the latest. The community is diverse and offers a variety programs. The teachers are genuine and care about the students future. There are also a variety of a academic, athletic, and social clubs. So many that their is something for everyone. I enjoyed my time at Buffalo State. I received a bachelors in psychology and learned so much about the discipline as well as myself."

"Buffalo State offered a 4 year degree without a math requirement. In my day going to college to get a job seemed mercenary. The purpose of further education was to broaden your knowledge which would lead you to becoming a better member of society. As my broadcast major relates to today's job market, unless you are hired right after your internship job opportunities in television are limited to working as a secretary at a college. When I graduated a BA in any subject meant you could be paid more. Now people with BA's hope to keep their minimum wage jobs at a fast food establishment. Today's job market changed as a degree is required for each specific line of work. There are way more secretarial openings if you major in Social Services than if you major in Broadcasting."

"I absolutely loved Buffalo State and the Psychology program. It is a wonderful, beautiful campus in the heart of Buffalo NY. The professors were wonderful, the class sizes were small enough to have the individual attention needed to succeed, and it was very affordable for the quality of education received."

"The experience as an incoming freshman to SUNY Buffalo State College (BSC) as a nervous one. While all freshmen are nervous with the idea of attending college, being away from ones own home adds to this feeling. The experience at BSC was an excellent one. The faculty and staff offered the support needed to feel comfortable, confident, and more independent. Faculty were open to offer support and extra assistance when needed as students faced challenges in course work. The school offers a varied social groups and opportunities to engage in extracurricular activities that enhances one life and college experience. The experience in participating in student organizations and student government helped me pursue efforts in civic engagement today. This also offered opportunities to meet and create strong lasting friendships with people who had shared values. The school is home to several sororities and fraternities who have been known to offer a great community for some. There are also, various campus program and organizations where students can secure employment to either help support their tuition expenses or earn extra income for living. The off campus experience was just a good. The campus is located in the heart of the city of Buffalo which has multiple attractions for recreation, fun, and learning. There are great Art Museums, restaurants, and other city attraction that are very close to visit. Students can also choose to live off campus, but only recommended after an on campus living experience. There are several off campus housing options available in either apartments or houses that students can rent and share living experience and expenses with peers. All of which are within walking distance or close to public transportation. I highly recommend a visit to this campus for anyone considering a great well rounded education."

"They have excellent teachers at Buffalo State College. The facilities are amazing they is always a place to rehearse. The school is closer to Downtown which is where the Professional theatres are. The head of the program is one the most in tune instructors ever. They want you to succeed."

"The variety of courses for a secondary teacher were endless. Whether in my content area of Social Studies or courses to help with working with HS students. I felt I made good "teacher" friends and left with new ideas and high expectations for myself as a teacher. The professors were easy to talk to and work with and I loved the freedom I had on writing my Master's Project. There are so many other students, professors and college staff that are willing to go out of their way to help you. I'd recommend this school for anyone who's looking to get a Master's of Science in Education."

"They had a very good biomedical sciences program. It trained all of us and prepared every one of us very well for jobs. 100% of the graduates from my class found jobs in labs, companies or hospitals."

"SUNY Buffalo State's Higher Education program prepares you to be an informed and invested practitioner in Higher Education. Courses offered not only helps with the theoretical framework of student development, but also engages you in a curriculum that speaks to the rising trends within the field. The department offers opportunities for you to get involved with local and national organizations (ACPA, NASPA, CSPA) and research with faculty. In addition, there are workshops, networking events, and programs to help get you connected with other graduate students and professionals in the field. Lastly, the program values diversity and is truly invested in the success of its students"

"SUNY Buffalo is an excellent school. I graduated with both my BA and Master of Education from UB and was able to do so on time. It's a very big school, though, and I commuted, so I didn't make a lot of personal connections. Great teachers, great libraries, a decent campus. I think they've taken pains to make it more approachable, which is nice. UB is active in the community. Though it's a very large school, you can find ways to connect. I didn't, but I like the quiet."

"I am currently enrolled in the University of Walden, most of my classes are on line. Attending Walsen has allowed me the flexibility to be a full time worker, a mom, wife and to be able to work towards completing my nursing degree in informatics. I enjoy the on line group discussion and the assignments. The professors have all been very helpful and will always find time to share their knowledge with you."
