"Tarrant County College is an excellent college because their key focus is making sure that driven scholars are able to excel in their academic endeavors. I was afraid to even go to college because I did not believe I was intelligent nor ambitious enough to even try. Especially since I received terrible grades in high school and had been out from school for a while because of the military, I did not even dare to want to attempt, but I'm glad I gave it a try and am hoping to receive this scholarship in order to help me become a successful trauma surgeon in the future."

"Tarrent County college provided me a excellent Computer Science curriculum. The courses were challenging and applicable to my career path. The professors were knowledgeable on the subject matter and readily accessible. The class size was perfect for this degree. Lab environment complimented the classes nicely. A good experience overall."

"I think TCC has a purpose with inexpensive classes. On the downside, the TCC business department classes repeat themselves with different tittle headers. For example, I took 2 different business classes that used the same book, and taught virtually the same material. This wasted a full semester of my time because I did not learn anything new from the second class. This not only happens in the business department, but in other departments as well. It seems TCC could do a better job of rounding the education requirements from each department rather than repeating the same information. TCC is an inexpensive start to a college career. I would NOT spend time in obtaining the Associated in Applied science, rather I would earn a standard Associated degree because you get more transfer credit from a standard Associates. The financial aid office is not a good office to deal with. The financial aid office canceled my aid and classes after approving a 99 hour extension to finish a business certificate program. They claim that I stated to have said I was graduating during the summer for the certificate course, when in actuality I stated the class I was taking was for the AAS degree that I had been working on. Be careful what you say in the financial aid office because Ms. S. and her staff work from hearsay and do no research to back anything up. I encountered many problems each semester from the financial aid department, so if you decide to attend this college, be ready to pay cash for your classes, or be ready to deal with constant issues from Financial Aid. There is obviously a reason why certain people have problems while others do not. Be aware. I did enjoy a few of the professors at this campus who do take pride in their students' successes, one being Ms H.B. in the math department."

"Tarrant County College has really helped me in reaching my goals. I plan on applying to pharmacy school and TCC offers all the classes I will need for my pre requisites, except one. The class schedules always fit my needs and the teachers I've had have been wonderful. The two campuses I choose to attend are very close to my house and make going on campus more convenient for me since I am an in class type of learning student."
