"Depending on the major and department, but most of the time registering for classes is very unorganized. My department was organized. If you have the same major as me, the students left old notes for students to study with for tests. They are located in the study room in southwest hall!"

"Tennessee Tech University is a great school. The classes aren't easy, but are passable with a little hard work. The professors care about their students and want them to succeed. The advisors are more than willing to be there to help you in your degree and career choices. The campus is safe and makes you feel at home."

"Tennessee Tech. University is great overall. The years that I attained were when the university was doing some major updates to things on campus e.g. new fitness center, parking lots, and other things. The major I graduated in was new so resources were limited. However, the administrative side of my major was really helpful to find us jobs and so on that we could do in our major. They worked well with us, especially those who transferred from other colleges like myself. The staff would go as far as to substitute a class for an internship so we could graduate on time."

"Great school. Some classes on line and some in classes. Easy learning and a great school for computer science degree. I give it a 5 star."

"As a mechanical engineer and now MBA student, I encountered countless situations where peers and professors marginalized my ideas, made me feel inadequate, and fostered an environment of disrespect simply because I was different. In group projects, I often landed "secretarial" roles of recording group meetings and contacting companies with questions because it was deemed busy work unworthy of their time. With only 2 other women in my classes of 50 or more, I largely felt excluded from the "boys club" if my interests strayed from hunting, cars, or video games. Seldom did I even have the opportunity to become friends with my classmates because they viewed me one of two ways, either "dating material" or completely invisible. They would try to flirt with me then ignore my existence if my relationship status conflicted with their intentions. When professors called on me in class it was to answer a heat transfer question about hair straighteners or to explain why moms were drawn to mini vans. Even when students or teachers meant well, their way of thinking is so turned towards gender stereotypes that they did not even realize the underlying sexism in their words. I just hope that they are able to broaden the spectrum of diversity in the engineering department and encourage tolerance for different ideas regardless of the person's demographic."

"I think TN Tech is a great school. I made a lot of friends and learned a lot. I wish I could have gone to Vanderbilt, based on what I know about their undergrad classes now, I feel like I would have had a better chance at understanding a lot of the material better. Everything taught in college will be of benefit, even topics that seem least applicable at first might be important for understanding something a lot more complicated. More expensive schools don't mean they provide better education, but I recommend trying to get into the best schools first. There are a lot of scholarships and stipends available, sometimes it might just take a little bit of digging to find them. But TN Tech is still excellent, and very affordable, and I strongly recommend it for science and engineering."

"It is a great choice for Wildlife and Fisheries majors with a number of course options; however, I do not recommend the school if you are a Biology major-I do not feel that I had the best professors for my biology courses."

"I'm really happy in choosing this university for my graduate program. I appreciate the graduate programs.com to take the review and help others to know the better choices for doing their masters program. It's been a while I joined in this university and the standards are really high. Students get a lot to learn here. I'm sure a student won't leave this university without acquiring the knowledge not only in his specialization but also the life skills."

"One of the biggest pros of the graduate program is the faculty. They are always willing to answer any questions and respond to correspondence quickly. I think that their accessibility is one of the reasons that I have been as successful as I have been in the grad program. The assignments are always within reason and are geared toward preparing me not only to pass licensure exams but be a competent and successful therapist. One of the cons about the program is the lack of financial aid for students like myself. I am a non-traditional student who works full-time and while I am willing to fund my education, it would greatly benefit me if there were more grants and scholarships available to graduate students in my field."

"The atmosphere in the university for graduate students is outstanding. I recently returned to school after having completed the undergraduate program 15 years ago. The professors and administrators were incredibly welcoming and I love their accessibility. The only con is that I wish there was more financial aid available to someone in my position."

"Tennessee Tech offers a wide range of graduate programs at an affordable cost. The professors are always accessible and seem to genuinely care about their students. I am a working professional and the only con for me is the length of time it will take to earn the graduate degree."

"My program will provide essential tools that can be used as I further my education wtih a Doctoral program. The cons of this program involve the limitations of course offerings. The program is completely campus based, making it difficult to schedule classes around other activities."
