"Overall an atrocious learning format that required 100+ homework questions to get credit for each chapter your read on the McGraw Hill texts. Courses themselves were not at all challenging for older students with several degrees, but you still had to take intro courses (that took forever to "read" b/c of the format). Registrar's office was a joke, students in their "denying" your "request" to drop courses. Sorry folks, but if I am changing university I don't need your "persmission". Much better learning format at the Big 10 university's I have degrees from."

"TAMU-CC was an enjoyable experience that kept igniting imagination and passion. There were many opportunities, from class lectures to hands-on learning from researches to labs. How many times do you get to say you live/study on an island? The atmosphere of the campus brings joy to the heart, and vacation vibes all day every day. If I could do it all over again, I would choose this university every time, no questions or doubt. There is a university beach next to campus and many mudflats that provide all the unlimited science research ideas you can imagine. Here is where I found my passion for science and the great outdoors. They offer networking opportunities alongside skill-building experiences. They focus on not only education but on making students marketable for jobs and building outstanding amounts of opportunities to create resumes. There are many resources to help students be successful in academics, human-beings, employees, and friends."

"Attending Texas A&M-Corpus Christi for undergraduate studies was one of the best choices I made. The Island university offers small classes in order to give the students an opportunity to easily engage with the professors and other classmates. The campus it's self has a great vibe to it, it is near the water making it one of the most beautiful places here in Corpus Christi."

"My time spent at Texas A&M Corpus Christi during my undergraduate career was one of great opportunity, hard work, and social and behavioral growth. Attending Texas A&M Corpus Christi was a dream of mine since I was a Sophomore in high school, and no not just because it is a college on an island and twenty minutes from the beach, but one that gave me the ability to continue my other interests outside of school as well. I was able to find a place near my home Crossfit gym and balance my three jobs, full time hours and training sessions to live the most healthy lifestyle I could manage at the time. It was not easy however, my time was limited and the "free time" I did have was spent studying and applying for needed scholarships that my financials demanded. The Psychology degree program at TAMUCC was a demanding one but was made easier by the fully supportive staff and tutoring mentors that can be found around campus and in the classroom. In college you learn that you alone are responsible for your success and attaining your dreams, you alone are responsible for living a healthy and balanced lifestyle, you alone are responsible for keeping up with academic and work related demands. If there is anything I would like to relay to future college students it is that lesson. It is solely up to you, no one will baby you to your dreams you have to apply yourself or you will get left behind. So apply yourself even when it is hard, time consuming or monotonous there is a lesson within every assignment, test quiz and paper."

"The classes were relatively small and perfect for what I was looking for. The classes were insightful and helped prepare me for my profession. The professors were always extremely helpful and available when I needed guidance. The campus offered plenty of extra-curricular and social activities as well. I enjoyed my time at the University and would definitely recommend it to others."

"Texas A&M University - Corpus Christi is the only university that is located on its own island. It is a very unique campus. Although it may not be that big, but that is one of the things I respect the most about this university. Going on campus, I knew I would see at least one person I knew. In your classes, your professors remember who you are, and you can't get that at every university. I would consider this school more of a family. And it is pretty awesome that you are so close to the beach, who wouldn't love that!"

"I completed my entire Master's including a research thesis while working overseas. The professors were wonderful to work with and the department was very supportive; as well as tolerant to my unpredictable situation. My program was geospatial surveying engineering and it is one of the better programs in the US."

"Texas A&M University is a great college to attend for any degree. I was under the college of business. All the professors were readily available to help you with your courses if you are struggling. The advisors are in contact with you as you approach the completion of your degree. I received emails frequently for internships and job postings as well as university events and lectures. I loved attending the island university and all that it had available to me."

"This University is filled with students and professors who care about your success. Every time I stepped into an office or classroom the faculty were quick to ask how I was doing, what was going on in my life and made it clear to always ask for help. The school is quickly growing and being a part of change and growth within the university was an incredible opportunity. I took classes like "Acting Shakespeare", "Choreography", "Dance Performance" and "Nasty Women in Literature" , that were not part of my degree plan but were interesting and first time classes that I wanted to be in. The campus is small and homely, everything is close together. The campus also has a beach, located directly across the street- a good way to relax and get some sun in the middle of the day. Corpus Christi is a small town, but has a lot to offer for those who wish to explore and discover the town. Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi changed my life and set me on a path of success. I will be attending a graduate school in the fall and the letters of recommendation I received from my professors, advisors and the President and CEO of the university were integral to me receiving an acceptance letter to my dream school. I have learned much from this place and hope that other experience the family that awaits at TAMU-CC."

"Overall I'm happy with the Education I received at Texas A & M University- Corpus Christi. I chose to major in Elementary Education which was a good choice for me. My degree earned me several teaching positions abroad in South Korea and Turkey, followed by three years teaching in the state of Texas. I think that the courses I took at A & M Corpus Christi prepared me for the classroom as well as any University could have done. Practice is the most important thing in teaching and it comes in time. The teachers were both approachable and knowledgeable. The location right on the Gulf of Mexico was a bonus!"

"Texas A&M University Corpus Christi was ranked the number one school located on a beach in the United States. To continue, the school is literally located on its very own unique island called Ward Island. The campus is fairly small but growing at an exponentiation rate. The ratio of students to faculty averages at around 30:1, which is much better than larger universities. The atmosphere of the university is very relaxed, much like a day at the beach. The student life is very active. Organizations are very prevalent on the island and many students seek guidance and membership to the majority of them. The curriculum for most degrees will challenge you, however the professors have a genuine care for your future and career after college. There are plenty of opportunities for work-study, internships, and scholarships granted by the university. Tuition is relatively inexpensive as compared to other universities, but that soon may change due to the expansion of the campus and its programs. The housing on the island is a bit on the expensive side, however it is very convenient because classes are located within a mere 5-8 minute walking distance from apartments and dorms. All in all, this is a wonderful university that provides hundreds of degree programs and a great amount of Master's and Doctoral programs. If you're interested in island style living, then this is the university for you!"

"The criminal justice program gives you plenty of connections with several careers within the criminal justice field. The professors help even with application process into police departments and they even gave me helped me with deciding what criminal justice field worked best for me. The professors made the class interesting from studying serial crimes to making and solving your own crime scenes! This even prepared me for the police academy, I was ahead of my class thanks to the classes at TAMU-CC."

"Great school all around! The school is expanding and the amount of diversity is increasing as well. The classes are all lecture classes you are able to work one-on-one with your peers and/or professors. They give you a great amount of experience with the various projects and assignments given. For the degree I received I do feel I was well prepared with the information provided and I do use the knowledge received to this day!"

"I loved my time at Texas A&M University Corpus Christi! The beach and atmosphere makes everyday a beautiful day! The campus is big enough to where you see and meet different people every day, but small enough to where you aren't just a number in the class. It's easy to get personal with you professors, and they want to see you succeed and will do whatever they can to help you. In fact, 4 years later, I still correspond with my freshman Chemistry professor who ended up writing me a letter of recommendation for graduate school. There's always something to do on campus and very easy to get involved!"

"This program is awesome! The professors are so approachable and kind. They are very supportive of my goals. One of the cons is the diversity of students in the program (some want to do PR, others research, etc.) It makes it difficult to relate to some of the other students sometimes."

"I am in my second year of the counseling program. So far I have found that I really enjoy it. The faculty is second to none, and all take an interest in the student's lives and success. The school and faculty are very invested in both the student and the counseling profession. I feel that this program is doing a great job of preparing us for the career of counseling in many different disciplines."
