"The College of Healthcare Professions Austin is a great school to get an Associated Degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography. The class is small and instructors are great. I am graduating in March 2019 and I am so excited. My dream to become a sonographer will be fulfilled soon. We have three great instructors who are very helpful and really cares for us. They're always there for us. They always makes sure that we are focus. We are just like a small family. Thanks to all the staff of CHCP that helped me to be admitted to CHCP from the admission advisor, financial advisor, and to all my loving and caring instructors. P.S. "After working in the banking field for so long, I decided I wanted to go back to school, I seen a commercial on T.V. about the College of Health Care Profession and I called, It was easy to get in, and I took off from there. Going back was something I had always wanted I carried a 4.0 gpa made it and here I am with a diploma May 25, 2017, I will walk with my head high. "I returned to school after working in the healthcare industry for 20 years, to acquire a degree in Health Care Administration/Management. CHCP is just like any other college or university, you will come in contact with a professor that are firm; meaning his/her expectations are average, as they take inconsideration that their students are working, taking care of family. Another professor maybe overly firm; meaning his/her expectations or very high and uncaring. Other than the issues with a few uncaring instructors, I have had a great experience at CHCP. My opinion to everyone that are contemplating on attending school at CHCP, evaluate your personal situation to see if you will be able to handle the weekly assignments. If there is something you don't agree with follow the chain of commands. Remember communication is the key to all problems."

"Choosing the right school to continue your education can be a difficult process. On a whim I called CHCP just to get some information. The feedback I received impacted my decision greatly and I will never forget it! I've been a student on the Medical Assistant program since July 2016. It's been an interesting and learning experience for me. Online school gives you the opportunity to be able to keep your home life the same and you can choose the hours you want to do your assignments. The best part for me is clinical s, being able to go to campus and get hands on learning! Online courses however, offers simulation situations and gives you the opportunity to take what you have learned and try it out on a scenario. It's great practice. CHCP is a great school I would recommend it, especially to those who would like to start their career in the medical field and don't have time to go to campus you have the option to go online! "I first attended CHCP back in 2014 and eventually became a licensed Limited Medical Radiologic Technologist. I later decided that I needed to further my education and to have more opportunities in the field of radiography, so at the end of 2016 I enrolled in the Radiologic Technologist program online. I'm currently pursuing my AAS degree and look forward to what lies ahead in the future. Taking online classes at CHCP allows you the convenience of being able to complete assignments around work duties and other life activities. If you have the patience and time to dedicate, then taking an online course a CHCP may be just what you are looking for."

"I have been attending CHCP online courses for Healthcare Management in the Associates Degree program since January 2016, and I love it. I am a student who works full time and my job takes most of my time. But with attending online it's so flexible where I can still do my job and complete assignments on time. "The only staff member that was helpful was my academic advisor. I received my A.S. in 2016. I decided to continue for my Bachelor's, once almost through the enrollment process this new advisor realized that I didn't reside in TX and I can not go to the school anymore. Then to top it off none of my credits transfer due to the low level accreditation. The school my credits do transfer to the tuition is outrageous. All this money spent and I can not even continue on with my Bachelors without starting from square 1."

"For those of you that are looking to go into physical therapy technician you are wasting your money. When I looked into the school and went on my tour they told me it was a new program (one year old), that it was successful and hands on. When I started I was motivated and expected to learn the things I was told about. During a 4 -5 month span I've gone through 3 different teachers because the first two of them were underpaid and weren't wanting to be teachers anymore after we were PROMISED BY THE DIRECTOR HERSELF that she had picked a great teacher for us. We were stuck with our director of the PTT program who probably hasn't been in an actual clinic or rehab center since the 80's. She isn't a bad person but she's not a good teacher. We constantly stretched and did "exercise programs"every single day that were nothing I ever came across in externship. On top of that the modules were poorly picked as far as the material. Most of the books were things that we didn't need in the clinical setting so there's your money going down the drain already. Our class mixed with newer students so some knew more things than others and with crowded classrooms sometimes I felt like I learned nothing because the instructor didn't help everyone. She also taught the night students so test grades, progress reports, etc were never given out on time and she was always on edge from "having a lot on her plate". Yes, I understood that part but if that was the case maybe they should have tried harder to keep the other two teachers who were actually fresh in the field and were really good at being instructors. Another issue was the confrontation and attitude between the class and instructor about any little question we had it was taken to her as an insult so we were then lectured like high school kids for 30 minutes after that when it was simply JUST A QUESTION. There were several times the director of education had to interfere and help everyone come to a compromise that took time and money out of everyone's pockets. They of course sided with the director and just ignored our comments probably because her husband is also an employee of the school and is the main one in charge of our program. We were told multiple times by our instructor that there isn't any money in our field of work and we are restricted of doing a lot of the pointless things she taught us in class in the clinical setting. I've never felt so unmotivated in school till my time there. It may sound dramatic but this school / program was one of the biggest mistakes of my life because they ripped me off financially. My advice to you if you want to get into this field is to go for PTA instead of a tech! Don't come here! You're welcome."

"This place was the worse excuse for a school ever!!!!!!!! I attended this school in hopes of creating a better opportunity for myself so I can be prepared for the career that I wanted. Instead all I got from this school was harassed constantly by financial aid, cheated out of money, and an inexperienced teacher's who didn't want to teach anyway!!! I spent 7 months at this school while working a full-time job and I felt like I was in high school again, the teacher kept talking about the class next to ours because they got away with eating in class and we didn't have that luxury, kept coming back late for lunch, and instead of teaching us the second half of class we worked out of workbooks, and hardly taught anything worth learning and on top of the person over the financial aid department kept pulling me out of class every other day talking about how I owe them for the first 2 months while I was receiving financial aid and paying $140 every week. If I was you PARENT'S AND FELLOW STUDENTS OUT THERE PLZ LISTEN TO ME DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT EVER ATTEND THIS SCHOOL YOU WILL BE CHEATED AND YOU WILL BE WASTING YOUR TIME."

"Chcp is a great campus! I love the atmosphere the instructors the staff and the students. The medical Assisant instructor is the best! Always there for you always willing to help inside and outside of school. Coming to Chcp was the best decision I have made. I will be coming back to continue my education in the Diagnostic Medical Sonography program if accepted."

"Honestly I came to this school very enthusiastic! Everyone was helpful signing me up, making sure I had what I needed ect... It was all a front to get me in the door. After I had me second class it went down hill from there. From the 9 months I attended this school I have been threw 5 teachers that couldn't make up there mind if they wanted to teach. Some would always have attitude when you don't understand something and during test she would answer her phone in class talking to "important " people. Others would always be on there phone and not teach. I also had 2 D.O.E because one was let go with no one knowing. The school almost forgot to extern me! I had to remind them! And I told them I needed a site close to home. They gave me a site 1hr 30 min away. The extern site ended up hiring me. But for less then what the school told me. Then because of the long drive my car broke down multiple times and I had to unfortunately leave this employer. I believe they did set me up for failure. After I told them I couldn't do it too far. There is to much wrong with this school and will not recommend to anyone. I wasted my time and money there. Don't make the same mistake I did."

"Do not fall for the lies and promises! This school is only out for the money. They will put you at internship sites that are 3 hours away!! Go somewhere else!! Please! They said we would be paid for internship, NOT! The Director and her "funky bunch" are non motivating and will try and make you quit! Horrible school!"

"Both Houston campuses are horrible. The President and the DOE at the NW Mall location are not connected with the students and the staff does not like them at all. The SW campus PD does nothing but talk down on her students and she is far from professional herself. I only stayed because I have to pay that money back everything I learned I learned on my own. I would not recommend this school to anyone, in fact, it should be shut down."

"If you are going to go into the Diagnostic Medical Sonographer program....DON'T! The program is not accredited by the CAAHEP. You will be wasting you money and time because employers will look for your attendance at an accredited school. Plus the advisors have absolutely no clue about accreditation. They will talk to you and try to swindle you out of your money by proving they are accredited."

"Nothing but a waist of time! They claim they care about the students, but truthfully all they really cared about was money. You bring up discrepancies they pretend they are going to do something and then they later say is "we have to look at program policies". Class after class complained about a teacher and her repeated mistakes and incontinence. Oh they handled it, she got PROMOTED to the program Director position."

"I would never come back to this school even if they paid me. I had a teacher who didn't even bother to teach. We literally just self studied 80% of the time. The worst part is how they treat us like children. It didn't even feel like I left high school. I entered this school at the age 18 and finished at age 19. Luckily I still have plenty of time to go to another school. I was lied to when I was enrolling to this school. The career service people lied to my face thousands of time. We are here to help you find a job. Our job placement is the best in San Antonio! All lies I haven't heard from them since I left the school. While I was here we lost our school president. He was escorted off the premises while we were in class. Please take my advice and don't go to this school. I'm helping you guys out I'm already out of there. Go to Concord, Brown or even Kaplan just avoid this school. I did this program with my best friend as well. She got a job as a telemarketer and I'm unemployed. What does that say about this shitty ass school?"
