"The faculty in Towson's Early Childhood Program are excellent. Each of my classes has contributed to my work teaching young children. I have also learned much from my fellow students, most of whom are teaching in their fields. The only con of the program is that they do not offer as many classes at their Rockville campus as they used to and the commute to Towson for evening classes can be lengthy."

"The Speech-Pathology and Audiology program at Towson is a competitive major that requires screening in order to be accepted to. In order to be screened in, you have to take two semesters of pre-requisite courses including BIOL190 (Introduction to Biology for the Health Professions). You can complete some or all of these courses at a different university and have them transferred to Towson, but make sure that they are the correct courses and that Towson accepts them! Once you have taken the required courses, your overall GPA will be put on a list of other students who are applying to the major, and the top 70 students will get accepted. The acceptance rate varies year to year, but it's usually somewhere around 50%. Once accepted to the major, you are expected to maintain grades no lower than a C, however, in reality, if you want to make it to graduate school you should not be getting any grades lower than a B. Some classes are difficult, and you don't have many options when choosing professors or class times for major related classes, because there is usually only one professor who can teach classes like Hearing Science, Phonetics, etc. However, the classes are very interesting, and most of the professors really want their students to do well. You really feel like you're learning medical science in this major, and it's very rewarding when you put the time and effort in to it!"

"Pros: instructor knowledge and life experience, flexibility with assignments, cohorts at a convenient location for working adults. Cons: Distance for cohort location sometimes long, partial tuition not covered by employer and not discounted."

"I don't think the program does enough to initially welcome the students into the Women's Studies Department. I feel like I was just thrust into the department without getting a feeling of those who were in it with me and what it offered. That being said, I think the program looks quite strong and seems to be challenging. I just hope they offer more guidance as the year progresses."

"The professors are very knowledgeable in their field and provide excellent feedback. They support their students to prosper and challenge themselves academically. I have also learned a lot from my fellow students and find that sharing teaching experiences is an important part of learning."

"I completed the COSC masters program in 2013, I must say it was very challenging and rewarding at the same time."

"This program is okay overall. I had the same professor for several classes. I feel that I would have had a better experience if I had a variety of professors (been able to gain different perspectives). Also I was very dissatisfied with the scheduling of classes (spring/fall only classes, classes offered at the same time). This has posed a major problem with trying to graduate on time."

"The faculty is short staff but loving, supportive, and extremely knowledgeable. Campus life is what you make of it. If you are willing to join clubs, extracurriculars and sports, you will have a great time. High expectations and standards set on students as there is a high value for education at Towson. Overall, a great school."

"Towson University is a great school. The faculty is always willing to help there students when needed. There is limited opportunities to receive financial aid, therefore it becomes difficult to finance my education. I feel like like I can easily connect with my professors when needed. My professors have helped me on my professional growth and have help me look at the various aspects of my professional growth."

"The PA program is a touch one but worthwhile. The value is unmatched! (This is not a MD program but there were no better choices on the pull down list.)"

"One of the pros is the flexibility of the program. One can choose the direction he/she would like to concentrate their studies on. The only con of the program is that it is no available in an on-line basis, only hybrid"

"As a student who is currently enrolled at Towson University since the Fall '12, I have had all positive experiences. I am in the Health Sciences program and my advisers and teachers have been on the ball. I love the fact that there are so many activities that you can get involved in at Towson. I really love the fact that my classes are not overcrowded. You can get assistance with your assignments, resume's and other areas too numerous to mention. I am very happy with my choice of Towson University. Since I have been enrolled in Towson, I have not had any safety issues, but once in a while, I receive email alerts if criminal activity has occurred."

"It is a great university with competitive students in my field of study. The teachers are quite supportive and are good at what they do. This is my first year at the graduate school. So far, the experience has been good. The only con as of now would be that the tuitions are pretty high for international students and there are not a lot of assistantships/scholarships avaliable for international students studying at graduate level"

"Can't beat the location and cost of the PA Program! I also like the curriculum in that it dives right into deeper material instead of returning back to basic courses that I've already taken!"
