If I had to choose a school again...I would choose Trident University International.

While studying here the administration was very helpful. The classes were engaging and I actually enjoyed doing the work. If I had a problem the school would be very helpful, getting back to me within 24 hours max. The problems started as soon as my final class ended. I was told that after completion of my final class I would receive my diploma in the mail within 4-6 weeks. Very reasonable time frame I thought. Well, 6 weeks elapse and I notice that my degree still hasnt gone through the audit process,... Read More so I decide to call and find out why. Early Wednesday last week was my first call. Im told that someone will contact me ASAP. I dont hear back from them so I call again Thursday and Friday. Both times Im told someone will call me that day and both times I receive 0 phone calls from the school. Today I call to complain to someone within the school overseeing the registars office. Im told that the head of the office has her phone off so I wont be able to make any calls in regard to the registars office not doing their job. Its now Tuesday, almost a week later, and I still havent talked to anyone who can tell me whats going on. I can only assume that now that they have taken in all of my GI Bill money and arent going to be getting another check on my behalf they are done with me. I felt others should know of my predicament in case they are considering going to this University. You will get out of this school curriculum what you put into it, you just may not end up getting the piece of paper you were promised upon completion.

I am having a difficult time with the lack of curriculum and being forced to interact with students on the lowest levels of the academic spectrum. This school has used more YouTube lectures and Wiki-type references than I thought possible. In response to their accreditation being threatened, they decided to make the assignment’s harder and longer. The problem is the instruction is still the same. I had to use other online libraries to gain access to Harvard Business Review articles. I joke that my degree is a Google Education because I am self-taught. My accounting professor said I had to use his elementary PowerPoint references in my paper. Instead, I found an MIT textbook with better information. As far as the other students go, I feel as though I am at the top of the bell curve because of the exponential downturn in the IQ of other people enrolled. I no longer qualified for financial aid because I earned a B- , which lowered my GPA to an unacceptable level. I cannot pay out-of-pocket, I have no money. I will now be forced to apply for a private loan. I already messed up my BA. College is not worth it. College got me nowhere in life, and I am almost 30. The fact that I am forced to interact with college students possessing the grammar skills of my kindergarten son is enough to lower the school’s ranking. Sorry Lavenia, but you are the reason my “college” education is being diluted to an expensive online extension of high school. Overall, they will gladly take $1,000 per class. They were definitely helpful when I needed to complete a FAFSA application for a grant. You will teach yourself and occasionally be smarter than the professors. Your experience in the discussion boards with crush your soul with the immense stupidity of other enrolled members. A quote from my last discussion board, “I lik that government keep us wit the money baked by gold.” I believe this person was trying to say our currency is still backed by gold, and I proceeded to correct the ignorance in a 400-level course. This was a response to a question about the feasibility of long-term quantitative easing with fiat currencies. P.S. We probably got the same score for the discussion points.
