"I really enjoyed my time at Trinity University. I ultimately opted to go there rather than the much higher ranked Emory University for financial reasons, and I don't regret it. The quality of the teaching there gave me a definitive advantage. The only downsides to attending a small university such as Trinity are this: (1) you will work with less well-known professors, and (2) your degree will count for less in the job market outside of Texas. However, neither of these affected me in a meaningful way."

"Thorough review of current student here- terrible time. So many of my friends transferred. Here's why: small school that feels suffocating over 4 years. Grading is extremely deflated, especially in sciences. Expect a B to C average in all classes. In sciences, they weed you out to maintain prestige to graduate schools. Trust me, I had a 34 ACT and top 1% in HS. If you care about grades, go to a larger school. If going to work force after college, recruiting is terrible here bc of small size. No school spirit. The small classes aren't that helpful bc its hard to get in them. Think about it: registration is a s*** show bc they cap classes early to keep them small. This can force you to delay graduation. Personally, small classes also didn't help my learning much bc whether a teacher is lecturing to 4 or 400 people, it still doesn't really matter. Trinity professors expect you to learn mostly outside of class. Office hours are requires at all schools-big or small. Tiny campus means you know everyone which can feel like you're trapped in jail. Do not come here if you want a typical college experience. People who come here have their reasons to not going to the large state schools: either their quirky (and a bit weird) or came here for academic purposes. The latter is a rude awakening bc of how deflated the grades are here. The former means the social scene is pretty awkward and won't benefit you later in life. If you are cool, the party scene here s**** unless you're in greek life or athletics (which I am in). Even then, understand that you will be partying with the same people all 4 years of your undergrad. That means make your decisions wisely bc word spreads. In all, there's a reason why so many people transfer out of this prison. If you want good grades, don't come here. If you want a good social life, don't come here. This was the worst decision I've ever made and now I can't get out bc I won't be able to get a junior year internship if I transfer (since gpa resets to 0.00 when you transfer). Point is: from the perspective of a social, high-achieving , pre-med student who has now been forced into business, don't come here--both because of grades and social life."

"I loved the school and the students were cool, I just chose a pretty hard major that I wasn't personally prepared to deal with. I didn't plan on getting any further degrees in physics, so things just pretty much stopped there. I ended up becoming a tutor because I love working with kids even though I was planning on having a job and being a musician, lol. But I like the school and many of my former colleagues live happy lives."

"Trinity is a great school considering how it balances academic life and social life. The student profile is very diverse, there are students from all around the world (mostly Latin America), they are nice with scholarships, and student body is high quality. All my college friends are at a good spot at their careers and I always look up to them. The classes are very diverse as well and they provide you the resources you need. professors are veryhelpful and knowledgeable, and since it's a liberal arts, the classes are not so big so the professors actually know you and have more time for you. The campus is also beautiful, they just built several new buildings to the campus. There are so many activities that you won't get bored. The location of the school is also great, it's at midtown, 10 min from downtown of San Antonio. The only downside with Trinity is that since it's a small school, the alumni network is not as strong as it would be in a state school. Besides that, Trinity changed my life, and prepared me for hard-work and for real-life well."

"Trinity University truly gave me the push that I needed to succeed. I was surrounded by diverse students and professors and was always given the opportunity to learn and explore beyond what I had previously experienced through my education. I would highly recommend Trinity to anyone who wants to go to a small school yet wants a big school feel."

"Trinity University is a small institution but has a great network. Students enjoy a small class atmosphere and grow close with fellow students. There are many different organizations for which to get involved in with different objectives, from social to political. Not the best athletics atmosphere despite of awesome athletic team feats. Great campus and on campus resources. Slowly becoming more like high school with school rules and lack of diversity."

"Greatest 4 years of my life. The faculty was made up of intelligent and experienced professionals that had an obvious love for teaching. San Antonio is a great city to be a part of. Lots of life and events downtown and now there's the booming area of the Pearl! You get the small campus feel within an diversified Urban city. The soccer teams are really good every year too!"

"Put it this way, I graduated almost 5 years ago and I just got back from a safari trip in South Africa with my freshman hall mates. Trinity grouped us together when we were 18 years old in the worst dorm on campus (Calvert... which they have now renovated and is absolutely gorgeous) and we've been roommates and best friends ever since. They take the time to get to know you and make you feel like you belong. Many alumni, including myself and my friends, met their spouses on Trinity's romantic campus, not that we're all looking for significant others with our diplomas, it just tends to happen when you bring wonderfully brilliant, well-rounded, and genuine people together! At least that's what I think of all my friends :) Oh, and the engineering professors are great. Dr. Uddin is the man. He got me my first job out of school, way over the pay grade I deserved, and got the invite to my wedding last fall. He quickly became family over 4 short years. Dr. K-Z is awesome too, taught my favorite classes, was definitely the hardest teacher, but a great guy. All the professors are tough but they're always encouraging you to do well and always willing to help."

"An alumnus once told me before I enrolled at Trinity University, "you won't meet better people anywhere else" and to this day I believe that to be true. I was introduced to my life-long friends, one of whom became my wife, and all of whom were in our wedding. All of my friends have gone on to do great things all over the world, and most of them are pursuing Masters and PhDs. Socially, Trinity University is a catalyst for bonds between intelligent, well-rounded, and respectful individuals. The quality of the education and faculty is a luxury I feel I truly took for granted. While I was thankful during my time at Trinity University, I feel as though my gratitude for such an opportunity is greater now because I have come to realize how prepared I was for the "real world" post-graduation. As a student-athlete at Trinity, like many of the other well-rounded students, I was impelled to balance my life as a Business Major and soccer player. Competing both in the classroom and on the field with and against exceptional individuals improved my level of adaptability, endurance, and drive which are all qualities from which I benefit today. Trinity University teaches you not only the information you need to learn but also HOW to learn and that is primarily due to the incredible staff and faculty. The erudite and accessible faculty is one of Trinity's greatest qualities of which I did not fully take advantage of and would encourage any student or prospective student to utilize. The student-faculty ratio of 9:1 is what gives students the opportunity to thrive in the classroom because of a personal connection with the faculty. As a student at Trinity, you enjoy being in a classroom when the teacher is engaging and calling you by your first name because it forces you to interact and also gives you a sense of community and belonging. Lastly, Trinity's location and facilities were incredible when I was there and continue to get better every year! The dorms are the best I've ever been in. The food may not be from your kitchen at home but it never failed to comfort and satisfy a starving college student's appetite. The buildings and classrooms are new, clean, and comfortable. The campus is stunning to walk around especially because the weather is always beautiful. The proximity to downtown San Antonio and the Riverwalk is amazing. All of these make for a happy campus full of happy people even during midterms and finals. The caliber of students and faculty at Trinity University coupled with the ambiance of the campus is insurmountable and I wish I would have taken more time to appreciate them while I was there. I am currently working at Rice University in Houston, Texas and I will be attending the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College in the Fall (2017) for my MBA, both of which are opportunities I would not have had without Trinity."

"The political science program was a very rigorous program however the interactions with the professors were amazing! With class sizes of 10-15 the professor really works with you and expects you to become as much of an expert on a topic as they are. Trinity is a liberal arts university and the workload is not light. Most of your time after class should be spent in the library studying in order to do well. Trinity has wonderful amenities however so when there is downtime you can enjoy great food, sports, social, fraternity, and community activities. Trinity is also located in San Antonio, a very vibrant and culturally diverse yet safe city. There are plenty of things to do on and off campus and with such a small student population you can feel quickly connected with peers as you have many of the same courses they do. Although Trinity is very expensive I appreciate the experiences and depth of learning I was able to participate in and I don't think I could have received the same type of experience anywhere else."

"The Counseling program is great, the teachers are very helpful and encourage and help students with professional presentations and research. The classes are well taught and they provide students with the opportunity to witness and experience what the students are learning in class. The cons of this program is that the school it's self is very old and the buildings are falling apart and are very hot. The school also does not offer financial assistance to graduate students. This program also has very limited time slots for class and are very intense and time consuming"

"My school is a small, private, liberal arts university. I had a wonderful time there and got close with many of my professors, as the class size was so small. I still keep in contact with the school through alumni events and most of my best friends were made there. San Antonio is such a wonderful city and constantly has fun events going on. Loved my experience at Trinity University!"

"For Healthcare Administration, Trinity is one of the top programs in the nation, especially in Texas and surrounding states. In multiple instances, I was able to make connections with senior executives in a multitude of healthcare organizations. Trinity's programs is fantastic at pairing theory with practical application. On a weekly basis we would be discussing healthcare operations and trends with senior executives in the classroom or even at hospitals in the area. The professors are focused on students, not research. I was always able to walk-in any professors office and get some real candid advice on where I could improve. Not to mention the class size allows for you to develop lasting professional and social relationships. Trinity's HCAD program has been one of the best experiences of my life."

"Trinity's accounting program provides a high level of personal attention from the full time faculty. They are easily accessible to the students, and they offer high quality in the classrooms. Unfortunately, some professors in the graduate program were (very) part time and unresponsive. Those professors tended to give the heaviest work load and were the slowest to provide feedback."

I had not planned to stay in-state, but decided it made more sense to do so (and it did, even more than I knew at the time, because of the economic crisis our country was on the verge of)."
