Degree: Medical Billing & Coding
Graduation Year: 2016

UMA has always made an attempt to make sure I was keeping up with my work. When I had called in with a concern, it didn't take "the team" long to get back with the answer. Everyone was so bright and cheerful, always knew how to give praise! I love how you could call in and be so frustrated about something and by the time you were done on the phone with learner services, you could be laughing. I feel like they all put me as a person and not a number...to some people that is very important. I'm very glad that UMA puts me, my education, all straight up on the top of the totem pole! Thanks UMA, YOU ALL ROCK!!!

This is the second online school I have signed up for. Let me tell you that I am fully pleased with my decision to continue my education with UMA. It took me a little time to get financial aid straightened out due to having a UEH, but the UMA team worked with me every step of the way and then some! This school does NOT let you "fend for yourself". The day my classes started, I was overwhelmed. I didn't know how to navigate the site, I didn't know what I was doing. My second day of classes, an advisor called me, walked me through the site, showed me where to find everything I need, walked me through submitting an assignment, and answered any question I had, no matter how rhetorical they may have seemed. I know that I am just starting my program, but I would recommend this school to EVERYONE. They have a great support system, have a ton of resources, and their advisors really make you feel like they genuinely care about your future. This has been a MASSIVE change from University of Phoenix. They have a few other programs I'm interested in! I've never been more pleased about an educational decision!

Degree: Health Services/Allied Health/Health Sciences, General
Graduation Year: 2015

I graduated with the degree in Health Science and was informed that none of my classes would transfer to another degree in their school or any other college. I basically wasted my VA funding on a school that is worthless.. Please do not waste you money.

I am very pleased with all the help I receive. I am I am amazed how organized and we'll they run the online course. Call me regularly to keep me updated and check on my progress. When I tell other on line students how often USA communicates with me they can not believe it, some of hardly hear from their school . They say they just do not have the support I get.

Degree: Health and Medical Administrative Services, Other
Graduation Year: 2016

I liked UMA very much. I think all faculties were very helpful in every way they could be. I started with my degree then went back for my associate which I finish that March 2016. I would like to give a shout out to every employee at UMA and thank you for your support because without you guys I wouldn't made it to the end.

Degree: Medical Administrative/Executive Assistant and Medical Secretary
Graduation Year: 2002

I have been pleased with the help fro.m the people. But not to happy that they said all my financial aide was gone and didn't get what was left, which makes no sense to me. I was signed up for the wrong class but hopefully I can still take the medical coding like I wanted to if not I going be mad because I am a single mother barely making ends meet. I had to get a loan and been trying to find scholarships and grants but can't find none. It would so help me because I work 3 jobs and still can't make the bills. But I hoping I still get financial aide to cover what I going for which is medical coding. But if not there will be big issues.

Degree: Nursing
Graduation Year: 2016

I normally don't do reviews, but I was very displeased with this school. I am enrolled currently, but I haven't even learned anything. They won't receive my calls, but they will blow up your phones 24/7. They messed up financial aid and said I've used 50% when it hasn't even been in the mail, they opened up to account which one says I'm not married and the other says I'm married. I've told them repeatedly that I was married, but haven't dropped the other one. They also force you into signing the documents for the enrollment process and won't go over any of the criteria with you. Right now, I'm transferring to Ashford University because they spent well over 3 hours explaining everything to me, unlike this school did. DO NOT ENROLL HERE! It's just a waste of time and money.

I have to say that UMA sets you up for success from the very start. It dismays me to see the negative comments in these reviews. There may be some blips and bumps in the road at times, but I was never left to my own devices. You are able to get through to a supervisor if need be. There is also a department called UMA CARES that acts as a student advocate if you feel as if your concerns aren't being addressed. The advisors, the instructors, and the financial aid department went above and beyond to help me. They have to follow federal regulations before they can release your left over money from your tuition. This is the same in ANY school! I worked very hard to maintain a perfect 4.0 GPA and I stayed on the Dean's List the entire time. I always received my books on time and career services rocks! I love the tools provided to me to help keep me sharp and ready to interview forvwhen I am ready. You cannot enroll in a school and not work hard and expect everythingvto be handed to you. I graduated in December of 2015 with high honors on the Dean's List. I am a Student Ambassador and I can say I am very proud to be representing this school. I am sad my journey needs to end. I wish you all the best of luck! Stay focused and determined. Remember to reach out for help if you need to! You can do this. I'd absolutely recommend this school to anyone serious about bettering their future!

I'm currently attending UMA. It's a pretty good school so far. I just would like to know when I will receive my grants. On my financial aid it says the estimated disbursement date is February 10, 2016 but how long after the estimated disbursement date when I receive my check?

Degree: Physical Therapy
Graduation Year: 2015

I am a UMA alumni twice. My first degree in MAA & PhT. 2014/2015. It's the best online college that I will recommend to anyone. You work at your own pace with no rush unless you put thst on yourself. They never gave up on me when I wanted to give in. They called me to see if I am doing well with my classes and when I needed one on one tutorial they were available. There are so many tools that UMA provides and they have added so many more. You will have a lot of support system and they are a accredited school as well to get your bachelor. When you graduate they make sure you have the education you need to be successful. They help you land a job and believe me it will take time but you will have a job that's 100% guaranteed. My coaches, instructors, advisors on web application specialist work very closely with you. There are many more and they know who they are. Thank you UMA for standing by my side and helping me through my hard times and not giving up on me.
