Degree: Medical Billing & Coding
Graduation Year: 2015

I really regret even taking these classes. I feel like it's all about the money. It's ALL A JOKE. Also, the career service advisors are so rude and did not help me to get a job. I have no car and I was told that I would be provided with an uber to make it to interviews, but whenever I needed one the advisors would be rude and they'd give me attitudes. Big mistake

Degree: Clinical/Medical Laboratory Technician
Graduation Year: 2015

I have had 6 instructors and only one was really structured and organized far as teaching.. the teacher I have now Is highly unorganized and the class is rude ... I was told about a project due today last week! And when I inquired about it I was told it was pronounced on the second week? Must have been the loud ride class... I am not learning anything Google teaches me more....I also have been told that my disbursement was approved and on its way....now I am being told that it has not been approved yet and still waiting results? ... I need that aid to be able to continue paying for child care so I can attend school and to begin paying back a loan from the mcla program that I still haven't yet to get a job in...I am also paying for book for classes that the instructors don't even teach out of!

Graduation Year: 2016

I am currently a very satisfied student with UMA. I be he had my moments of frustration, but I have never been let down during these times, unless it's been me not reaching out. I'm truly sorry for any bad experiences anyone has had. I don't see any in my future and have had no warning signs yet. Online is a bit more difficult for me, I have to put extra effort into my commitment, but I LOVE it. Hopefully in 2016 when I graduate, I will have more great things to share.

I don't even know where to start with this school. They ignore you but blow up your phone when it benefits them. When your begging for help nobody will help you return a call or email nothing. I went to school for Medical Coding and Billing. I get asked where is my coding certificate well I don't know maybe I should ask my school. Well forget that they don't want to hear what I have to say they just want their money. Every time I have a question they don't know the answer to they tell me they will get back to me then I never hear from them and I have to get passed around on the phone until somebody can answer my question. They never told me I had a refund check they wasn't going to and the wouldn't have if I didn't ask about it. This school is just in it for the money. They don't deserve to be a school.

I love this school. I even went back to get my associates in Health Care Management. Its is so worth it to attend. I have been with this UMA since 2012 and I don't regret any if it.they coached me all the way. And when I fell off they were there to pick me back up again.

Degree: Medical Office Administration
Graduation Year: 2016

Okay I'm having problem with the financed department. On July 7 I ask for my refund to be released to me. Upon me asking the advisor told me that I would have sign for my refund to be release and told me it would take like four to six weeks to get the check. Well on August 4 I called back to check on later to find out that my file had been in limbo for two weeks and that some information came back that needed to be cleared up. Upon them telling this they were going to expedite my check to me. I kept calling for two weeks straight to make sure everything was a go. Well last Friday on the August 21 I called and was told by another advisor that everything clear and a check would be mailed out on the 24. I waited all week until today. I called to check and was told that I sign a document in May stating that I wanted the funds at the end of me completing the diploma program. Well I wasn't informed this in July, August. I spoke with a advisor and I guess she don't know the frustration I have been through that I guess she had a attitude also. When I ask to speak with a Supervisor she came on the phone and told me that I should have been told this before. And she could see that I have called many of times and that someone should have told me. She said once I sign a document by email which I did then she put me on hold to say that she talked to a someone in the records that cut the checks and they said I should get a check cut on Monday. Now I want to believe her but I have been trying to be patient but this is crazy. Yes I was not going to ask for the refund check because I had a job upon me applying for UMA. But I lost my job a week after class started and I need this to pay my broadband internet up to keep myself in school. I like the classes but this has been really stressful. I have switch Academic advisors since I started. I don't know who to talked to as well tell somebody cause I get a new person every two weeks. I want to finish this diploma to make a better life for my three children but this is ridiculous. I hope somebody please help me cause

Degree: Healthcare Management
Graduation Year: 2016

I'm a current student and I am very pleased. I'm new to the field and the advisors help me to gain a volunteer position that coincides with my degree. Now I am a few steps closer to a better career. Though they didn't help me get the volunteer position, they did advise that I gain experience that way. I ended up landing a position that can turn into a permanent position. I'm going into my fourth term and I'm maintaining a 4.0 GPA. The school I'm transferring to receive my bachelors is accepting all my credits. Thank God I made this choice. I will have a career and be able to support me and my daughter. Thank you Uma!!! Class of 2016!!

Degree: Medical Billing & Coding
Graduation Year: 2015

I am a current student in the online degree program. I have been waiting since July13,2015 to receive my student loan refund check. I actually live only 40 miles from the actually ground campus. I was told that I had to wait 15 business days before a stop payment to be issued. Each and every time I call I get the run around, tranfered from person to person, department to department.I have called everyday and they look at my student account and are able to see that the check has not been cashed. I honestly feel that it was never mailed to begin with.I am feeling as if I have been scammed. When sending out this amount of money I feel that it is wreckless and irresponsible not to send it with some form of tracking number. I have had nothing but problems since enrolling in this school. There is a serious lack of professionalism as well as a lack of communication between departments. At this point I do not feel that it is in my best interest to continue with this school.

UMA is a great school. I finished my diploma in May of this year. Now I am working on my Associate's. They have helped with everything, from financial aid to interview practice. I have even been set for interviews. They stick with you the whole time. Ive read some reviews and if I'm not working 2 years from now I'm not calling UMA for a job. They did their part already. My next step is my certification and my Bachelor's. UMA is great!!!!

Degree: Medical Administrative/Executive Assistant and Medical Secretary
Graduation Year: 2015

I'm 10 weeks out from graduating with my Associates for the MAA program. My entire UMA journey has been nothing but a fantastic experience. My advisor was the absolute best and always encouraged me and truly cared about my future. Teachers were always great as well. I had no problems here what so ever. UMA seemed to make everything go so easily and smooth. Thanks to UMA for everything they have done for me! They gave me so much confidence and I can't wait to graduate!!
