Degree: Nursing
Graduation Year: 2013

I only had one instructor who knew anything solid about the nursing field and was able to convey that to the students. Their admin staff and "upper level" instructors are a joke. If you are not ready to teach yourself absolutely everything, then you should go somewhere else. I agree with independent studies, but when a student asks a question and the instructor has no answer...every time...I start to get worried.

Degree: Medical Billing & Coding
Graduation Year: 2016

Unfortunately this school is extremely rude. I got called unprofessional for asking not to have 8 calls texts and emails in less than 7hrs. I was also called unprofessional because someone called me and because I couldn't hear anything more than static they texted me stating I was unprofessional. The call center you speak too laughs at you when you have a problem, you get the run around and when asking for management.. It's a joke! Over priced and RUDE!

Degree: Medical Billing & Coding
Graduation Year: 2012

The course were very interesting and challenging; however when it came time for the school to help me find a job as promised they were not there for me. I aced the exam. Every time I called career services to help with the tools in finding a job no one was there. Too many promises and deliveries. Would not recommend this school to anyone. I have since found a job in another field. The loan was a waste of money,

Degree: Medical Administrative/Executive Assistant and Medical Secretary
Graduation Year: 2016

Some of the people that work at the school don't understand that you have a schedule and don't call when they say. Other than that my degree has gotten me into a job that has been my "foot in the door". You can it expect to leave school and start making a lot starting out. You have to start from the bottom and make your way up. The courses I took really did help me to get to where I am.

UMA is the best college i have ever attended. The coaches, instructors and advisors were so helpful. My career program was a phenomenal one. At UMA they are concerned about you, not just your career. It was a smooth transition for me. From beginning to end. I would recommend my friends to attend there. I had no issues at all, getting into the Academy. My experience with UMA was awesome. I plan on going back to get my associates. All i can say is UMA is the college of today!!

Degree: Pharmacy Technician
Graduation Year: 2017

I started school at UMA in may of 2016 and so far I love my classes. They're not too easy but they aren't too hard either. I love my instructors. The only problem I have is that I can't ever get ahold of my student advisor for any questions I have . I always catch her machine which I always leave a message and never get called back. They never call me to see how I'm doing . other than that, ultimate medical academy is awesome. And the person above who said its not an accredited school, where are you getting your info dude?

Degree: Pharmacy Technician
Graduation Year: 2010

Waste of time! The company you work for will train you On their operating system, none are the same! Having your certification is enough! The classes were not challenging at all. The Book was very helpful regarding the industry, the classes were irrelevant.

Degree: Medical Billing & Coding
Graduation Year: 2017

I started UMA in May 2016. I love it so far. I know things can get overwhelming for me, and that's just me because I'm so used to giving up... but I don't plan on it this time. I only here ppl not receiving funds but I plan on requesting them and hope I don't have any issues. The last online school I attended, they automatically sent me the funds without asking me, which was very helpful for me. And, when I request them with UMA this upcoming week (June 13, 2016) to be exact, I hope i have no trouble. My sister received her funds when she first started and the only thing she said was it took a while in which I expected. So, I'm patient I can wait on it. I had her read over my award letter and she told me exactly what would be available to me. So, hopefully I won't have issues. I would have to because I've been looking long and hard for an online Medical school, I found one and I like it so far. I'm looking to graduate October 8, 2017. I read one of the reviews here saying that they found out this school isn't accredited... is that true? Kind of have me nervous because clearly I was told it was...

Degree: Human Services
Graduation Year: 2017

This school is a joke. I was told I would get money after so many months and now I'm told I won't. The homework I have now has nothing to do with what you read. I would never go to this school again or recommend it and now come to find out its not even an accredited school.

Degree: Health Information/Medical Records Technology/Technician
Graduation Year: 2017

CAHIIM accredits HIM education programs at the associate degree level. To begin your search for a program, use the link below to search by education level, institution name, state, or distance learning (online) delivery. And UMA is on the Site and active. Which is important in the HIM field. This school is accredited for the HIM program. The bad reviews are from people not getting refund check? Seriously!? If you solely go to school to get a refund check you need to rethink your plans and maybe get a job! Credits will transfers only to a school that also is accredited through AHIMA. If you decide to pursue Bachelors in HIM like me. Students interested in obtaining a Post-Baccalaureate Certificate, Certificate of Completion or Transfer of Credits information, must contact the CAHIIM Accredited program they wish to enroll in regarding their institutional policies.
