"I'm currently taking my third session at Brandman. I was not sure what to expect, but US News & World Report has them ranked highly. My company is paying for me to attend here full ride. I have found the professors knowledgeable, helpful and understanding. This school is focused on working adults and they do a great job of providing the flexibility I need to manage work, school and home life. Financial Aid is not that fast to respond, but luckily I don't have to deal with them much. My adviser is impossible to get in touch with, so that is a problem. I work through Guild Education, so they are able to get answers I need. Overall, I'm very happy with my decision to attend Brandman."

"Brandman University provided me with an exceptional education and experience. Every professor was highly involved in their field and active in the community. The cohort model provided an opportunity to build lifelong friendships as we witnessed each other grow as students and professionals. I had no difficulty with financial aid and no complaints about academic advising. It was easy to manage the rigor of the program and family life. I would highly suggest this university for working professionals!"

"Please, do not waste your money here. I went back to finish up my MFT and recently added Clinical Psych classes, after being gone for a while due to a death. Chapman is no longer backing this school, they have bowed out, but Brandman pays for the name recognition. There are no credible ppl here to guide, no faculty for the individual degrees, just sales ppl. All have retired except 1. Chapman took a 10 million endowment and agreed to change the name to Brandman, the name of the person whose wife donated. I am but of a couple of ppl who have seen the changes, and they are not good. I had so much time invested and that's why I went back here. There are inherit problems that do not seem to get any better, and doubt they will. Discussions are a joke and it becomes redundant work, busy work. Look up Walden, look up and go through and ask many, many questions of students that are already in a school that you are thinking about going to. Run from this one. Chapman was superb, Brandman, run"

"I had a very positive experience with Brandman and would highly recommend it to adult learners looking to advance/change their careers. You will thrive here with dedication and independence. Once I began my Masters I really felt that I was learning a great deal about education and delving into real world scenarios. My experience at Brandman expanded my knowledge, confidence, and my career!"

"I whole heartedly recommend Brandman University to anybody and have even gotten many of my friends started on their educational journeys at Brandman. Brandman has been nothing short of a great experience. My counselor and the one stop team always stay on top of my journey and have always been so helpful with financial aid or deciding how to go about my path in obtaining my bachelors. I do understand how some people could have had bad experiences, but everyone I know that goes to Brandman has enjoyed their experience."

"This "college" is a complete joke. If I could give a rating lower than one star, I would. You will be overcharged and receive little to no assistance, and that's on a good day. I do not even want to continue writing this review because fighting for my rights in this so-called university has already wasted enough of my time."

"I first attended a state university and decided to transfer to an online university when I landed a full time job. I decided to go with Brandman simply because there is a campus in my area and I knew people who received their degrees through Brandman and had nothing out of the ordinary to say about it. During the enrollment process they call you like everyday, they are very eager to get you enrolled and started with classes but once I was enrolled and assigned a counselor that is when I began having problems. My counselor was extremely lazy and also did not even listen to me when I talked on the phone he would just say "uh-huh" and talk over me, he took sometimes 3 days to answer my emails and once when we talked on the phone kept confusing me with a different student. I have no idea if this was just bad luck or if Brandman employees are stretched to thin but for the amount of money you pay to this school I felt like this was unacceptable. The overall content of all of the courses follow the same format so I feel like the instructors are not allowed to make the classes their own and it does become boring following the same type of homework and discussion boards in every class. Overall my degree did help my career but keep in mind I am young and just starting a career so any degree would have helped me."

"I was there for s few courses until I found out that my credits wouldnt transfer tk a state school or even back to Chapman which owns Brandman. This place is for people who want a degree but not an education. Employers arent fooled. Neither are other schools who do not accept their credits. That tells you what the real world thinks. They only people being fooled are the students who get out into needless debt."

"I was suppose to be graduating but I was short somewhere of 2 credits, and I was told to take class that I didn't need, and to come back and tell me I need 5 credit units. This is unfair to students who have completed all credit units to confer their degree and the mistake was on Brandman University end. Will be seeking legal advice due to the school has all the official transcripts and was sent over before starting at this school. They are rip-offs and unfair. T. from student affairs advised she would call me and never called back. All I got is a letter how unprofessional! Do not got to this school"

"I hear a lot of people complain about non-responsive instructors and non-responsive financial aide staff, but I have honestly had the exact opposite experience. I don't know if it has anything to do with the fact that I was an online student, but any time I emailed a financial aide advisor or instructor, I always got a response back within 24 hours. My only qualm is it seems as though many of the classes were graded without constructive criticism from the instructors and a few of my A's were way too easy to obtain. With that being said, I learned some important skills that have helped me become ready for the workforce and I enjoyed my experience at Brandman. I will be going back for my MWS with them as well."
Disappointed.

"As written early it is hit or miss with the professors and usually miss. Academic advisors will encourage you to take as many classes as possible. Don't listen. Work is way more than five incremental hours per class. If you are working full time 3 classes is not even close to realistic and two can be stretch depending on the instructors. Very inconsistent on how classes are administered and little accountability with instructors. So much $$ wasted. We had one of the 'distinguished' instructors miss two classes. For most of the classes little of the class content is usable in the classroom right away. If you are already working full time the Masters program is a waste of time. It will not help you get better in the classroom. There are better masters programs out there."

"Brandman is a great school. I recently graduated with my MS in Human Resources and this helped propel my career very quickly. Going to school online is tough and challenging. You must be dedicated. The people who are complaining about the teachers and program must not have completed all of the assignments and tried very hard. If you work hard and complete the assignments, you will gain a lot out of your program and teachers."

"This school was awesome working with the GI Bill and Financial Aid. It did take until week 5/8 to receive the funds but One Stop always responded and let me know where I stood financially. They did try to give me student loans which I did not need so I had to fight that twice. It never went through so in the end they ended up cancelling the $11,000 in loans. The professors were almost always awesome except a few who treated lower level courses as if they were for PHD level courses. That was ridiculous and everyone knows who they are. I have loved this school and the social work program department since day 1. I would go here or my Masters program if they offered a MSW (which they are next fall but it is not accredited yet). I would recommend this school to anyone."

"This was such a horrible experience! i was just trying to get my Master's degree. these people are rude and inconsiderate. At the time the University was being sold by Chapman University out of Orange County and us student's didn't really have any choice. The financial aid department became Crooks and charging us for drop classes. And the financial aid department just went down the drain. This University will find any reason not to give someone their diploma. I got one from the University back in December of 2009 in regards to my drop classes. I stated to them that the class was dropped in time and they were supposedly were looking into it and never contacted. Now 9 years later they've informed me that they're going to go after my taxes California Franchise Tax Board to collect unpaid tuition. Of course now I don't have email access to my Brandman email to provide them with proof that the classes were dropped in time. Of course since then I'm not allowed to get my diploma and have no access to my transcripts this University is starting to be a pain in my a**."

"I do not have a problem with the professors or curriculum. I have an overall problem with their financial aid and end of program conferral fee. This fee needs to be paid to get your diploma. They are a non-profit institution and I cannot figure out why they need this fee. USC, Colorado State, and other major colleges do not require this fee. I know it is not a lot of money but the principle of it makes me so very angry. I do not believe they are printing my diploma on $150 card stock. Be prepared to pay more for transcripts than most universities that includes a processing fee. I would not recommend this school one bit."

"Brandman allowed great lengths of flexibility which was ideal in being able to maintain a full time school schedule along with a full time work schedule. I started the program in January and graduated later that year in December with an accelerated path!"

"I recently transferred to Brandman University. I will complete my BA in psychology in the coming months and I've completed 4 semesters so far. I chose Brandman because it was accelerated, accommodating with online classes, and tuition wasn't too bad. I transferred with 120 units and had a 3.5 GPA, I could've gone to much better institutions but was big on completing this degree fast. I regret this decisions. The quality of education at this school is a joke. If you can write 250-300 words per discussion post you'll pass any class here. As I communicate and interact with others who have transferred to better quality schools I see the quality of education in the way they talk and interact. I feel I sold myself short and am just paying for a piece of paper over here. However, if you have the bar low for myself and just want the degree fast, then this is your place."

"Like most things in life, you get out what you put in. This is a good program if you want to earn your Doctor of Nursing Practice Degree. This does not give you the authority to work as a Nurse Practitioner when you receive your doctorate. You must pass the National Certification for Psychiatric and Mental Health test, I had the support I needed to continue and complete this program."

"This school has been great to me and my wife. It has advanced my career and was very rewarding and challenging. I picked Brandman University because it was located on Travis AFB California. Everyone that I worked with was professional and polite. I never had an issue with VA or the funding. I would recommend this school to anyone. Brandman has changed my life!"
