Degree: Civil Engineering, General
Graduation Year: 2017

I really enjoyed my time studying at the University of Alabama at Birmingham because I was able to interact with the professors and students better due classes being smaller. UAB is a diverse, beautiful college and I hope other students choose to study here as well.

Degree: Nursing
Graduation Year: 2014

UAB is a fantastic nursing school. Most of the courses are on campus. They have an excellent skills lab with some top notch equipment. The coursework is difficult, but it adequately prepares you for the real nursing world. The instructors are great and willing to help whenever needed. I was able to pass my boards on the first try, with only 75 questions.

Degree: Public Health
Graduation Year: 2016

I really enjoyed the program. The professors really made you feel like you had the support to get through anything. They made sure that you understood the curriculum, and went out of their way at times to provide aide. I definitely learned a lot, and I highly recommend the school to others!

Degree: Healthcare Management
Graduation Year: 2015

UAB is an excellent place to receive your undergraduate education. Students share a strong sense of community and devotion to studies. Campus is lively and bustling, but you will also see students all over campus studying. UAB provides students with opportunities and knowledge that helps to prepare them to excel in their careers. In many programs students have group projects in many of their classes that teach teamwork and develop professionalism. Many classes are offered online, allowing students to work and obtain their degrees simultaneously. Although the campus is not traditional, it is moving in that direction while still feeling like a downtown college campus.

i enjoyed it. I liked being able to be in a big city and go out and make friends with people who I wasn't in school with. It was challenging and I felt like I got a good education

Degree: Art & Design
Graduation Year: 2015

The city is much too busy to have a good college experience. Parking is absolutely atrocious, there's way too much crime, and the school is completely intent on their profit margin. Students' education is far down on the priority list.

Degree: Biology

UAB is not a traditional college experience. You don't get the college town feel attending in the middle of the city. Although I have had a great time, I'm ready to get out and go somewhere more personable.

Degree: Environmental Science
Graduation Year: 0

I transferred to UAB from a community college and it has been one of the best decisions I've ever made. My courses in Public Health have been very in-depth and stimulating. The professors and advisors are extremely helpful - they make time for every student and they have gone above and beyond to guide me in the right direction. I'm very proud to call UAB my university.
