"UConn is an excellent university. It is very rigorous academically and graduates intelligent and hard working students. However, it is important that students are able to motivate themselves because professors are adequate at best. UConn is primarily a research school and professors are definitely more interested in their research projects than their students. It is up to the individual stay current in their classes, but UConn provides plenty of resources."

"UConn provided me with the safe space and learning environment to learn about myself and the world around me. My teachers were fantastic, my coaches were ever-so-caring, and the friends I made there are friends for life. I loved it and would highly recommend UConn to any students seeking a global education in this ever changing and diverse world. Go Huskies!"

"The University of Connecticut's program is a very vigorous program that will definitely challenge you in the first few years of your education. That being said however, I feel that those challenging classes best prepared me for the current workforce of today. I highly recommend this school to any high school student that is interested in pursuing a career in chemistry. My best advice is to also try and get into a research lab if you can and take advantage of the advising that the school of chemistry provides as well."

"At first I was very set on not going to an In-State school, but due to the heavy cost of an undergraduate education I ended up choosing UConn. immediately I realized I could not have made a better choice. The education and facilities here are outstanding. I was able to get involved in so many clubs and activities pertaining to my major and future career as well as easily become involved in the research facilities on campus which have, without a doubt, expanded my knowledge and real-life application skills of Speech Language Pathology. The professors here are the best of both worlds with their in-field and research experience along with their dedication and genuine fondness of their students. I couldn't have picked a better place for my education. The only downside to the University of Connecticut is that the cost of tuition is gradually rising, even for in-state students and it is becoming more difficult to obtain my undergraduate degree without taking out loans. This is unfortunate because I still plan on attending a graduate program, which is another cost in and of itself. With the rising prices of undergraduate education, my options for a graduate school are becoming increasingly limited as far as finances."

"UCONN of Stamford is a great school if your interested in getting an education for business for a cheap price. It has a diverse student population and it's location in the heart of downtown Stamford gives you easy access to close by respected businesses. Many business professors taught many students for these companies and they are still connected to them to this day, giving students a good resource for respected references when needed to reach out to these companies. However if you're searching for a school that makes you feel at home or that traditional college environment this isn't the school for you. Most students are in and out the university so developing connections with other students can be difficult. Overall great school for business and a great steal for an education!"

"UConn was absolutely an amazing school with huge potential for its students. Being a big school, it offers its students hundreds of clubs and activities to participate it and has an extremely well developed support system despite being such a big school. Like most schools, you get out of it what you put into it, UConn however has repeatedly shown to outperform that concept by giving its students opportunities that almost all colleges offer. Whether you're interested in research, student affairs, teaching or sports, UConn offers a full experience for any college student. It's a mini city that you'll honestly find hard to say goodbye to. I graduated 2 years ago, ha e been working as an engineer ever since, and can't wait to go back to UConn as a graduate student."

"UConn's BME program offered a wide array of opportunities for its students. The faculty has impressive credentials and offer insight to innovative approaches in biomedicine. On top of their knowledge and ability to successfully impart it to their students, they are extremely approachable. Everyone from the department head to the teaching assistants are available and willing to assist the students in and out of the classroom. The school offers many research laboratories for undergraduates and graduates to embark on projects of their own in an academic setting. Lastly, the collaboration across the many disciplines of engineering is inherent in UConn's BME program as a handful of faculty members are also members of the materials science, chemical, and mechanical engineering programs, not to mention the school of medicine."

"Attending UConn School of Pharmacy has been the greatest experience of my life. While it is quite challenging, it is very rare that someone not succeed in this program. The best aspect of this school and program is the close community feel you get. UConn has over 600 student organizations and probably about 20 of which are pharmacy related. The student involvement at this school is amazing, and I have made so many friends through my involvement. As a military veteran, I also must comment on how great the school's services are for veterans. Every year they make the process even more simple and I've never had an issue utilizing my Post 9/11 GI Bill. Note to all military: UConn offers a tuition waiver for any military member or veteran who has served at least one day on active duty orders. Take advantage of it even if you don't qualify for the Post 9/11! All in all the School of Pharmacy has great faculty (some world renown in their specific fields) and truly prepares you for the future. The brand name recognition is an added bonus on to your degree!"

"Honestly if the workload isn't a little challenging in pharmacy school, you probably aren't learning what you need to know. However, I really appreciated UConn's approach to the curriculum in that we learned by body system (cardio, psych, etc) rather than the more traditional style of having med chem and therapeutics as separate classes. Networking is still on the weak side if you want to go into industry rather than retail or clinical, but they are actively working to improve it. Campus is in the middle of nowhere, so if you're looking for an active social life that doesn't involve house parties, this isn't the place for you. Campus is gorgeous, though!"
