"Maine law is a small law school in comparison to others around the country. Due to the small size it creates a supportive environment and you get to know your classmates and professors well. The work load is typical of law school, hence the low score for social life. Maine Law does provide many opportunities to be social and meet students in the 1L, 2L, and 3L classes. The school is very public policy focused and they emphasize the importance of helping the less fortunate and contributing to the greater good of society."

"Pros- -You get to meet many influential people from across the world who come to speak with the program. -Summer internships are also funded by the program. -The professors and support staff are all super awesome! Cons- -Tuition is expensive for people living outside the New England areas"

"This is my second degree from the University of Maine at Orono. As a nontraditional student I decided to make this an affordable experience as possible. UMO was excellent in helping me do that. I was able to attend a closer community college and take nearly all the electives that I was missing while still being considered a full time UMO student (active away status). Please note, that like any undergraduate degree you must take a certain number of electives that don't deal with your major, but UMO offers a wide assortment to choose from. I was able to take an online Asian Cinema course that was my favorite elective over my 8 years at UMO. My advisors Raymond Hintz and Carlton Brown were extremely encouraging, helpful, and knowledgeable. Furthermore, the department is excellent at providing links, and job postings for current (and graduating) students. I was amazed at the number of job listings for survey engineers in Maine alone (not to mention nationwide)."

"The school is in a wonderful area especially if you like the outdoors. The classes are smaller than my previous colleges so you can really get to know your professors and they can know you which can be good and bad depending on the student you are. You do have to individually stay on top of things from advising to financial aid you would think with fewer students the school would be more on top of it but they are less and I have experienced several errors in these areas which took a lot of work to correct."

"This is a small school with small classes and it allows for a more intimate education. Professors are genuinely concerned for your success and accessible if you need extra help. What a great little law school and one more people should consider applying to."

"Pros: All of the professors have working in the field in some way. This is a generalist MSW program so we learn how to work with individuals, couples, families, communities, and organizations at the micro, mezzo, and macro arena. Cons: After only completing one year, I feel as though I have not had enough clinical practice as of yet. Great school overall. I did my undergrad here as well. I love it."

"World leader in the field with world-class faculty. Environmentally spectacular location. Public transportation is minimal as a function of the state."

"My graduate program fits what I want to do with my career; however, I have worked in the field for many years and I still have to complete the entire program including two internships. I believe with my expereince, I should not have to complete both internships; unfortunately, I do not have a choice if I want to graduate and further my career."

"Overall, the content and structure of the program was fantastic, but the career support left something to be desired. This was especially true for students not specifically interested in pursuing academia after graduation."

"The University of Maine School of Law provides a great atmosphere for learning. It is not cut throat like many schools but it is still highly competitive. The faculty is very accessible and there also plenty of hands on learning programs like the Cumberland Legal Aid Clinic. Not to mention, the school is locating in a great city, Portland, Maine. All-in-all, the Maine School of Law is a wonderful institution."

"Honestly two years is not enough time for the amount of works needed to complete our research project, however the outcome will contribute enormously to the betterment of higher education in United States and the Academic Advances around the world."
