"Ole Miss' K-12 Leadership program fully prepared me for my current position in administration. The writing & group assignments make you think about best practices. from multiple perspectives. The faculty will challenge, motivate, and inspire you. It's tough, but it's worth it! Don't go online; go to Ole Miss!"

"University of Mississippi is a wonderful school to attend. Starting with orientation, they make sure you are aware of important dates and programs. They offer many ways for Freshmen to adjust to college life and to find programs in their major that will allow them to succeed. As you progress in your college career, the professors and administration are always willing to help. The Career Center provides great resources for your future or even for current endeavors like internships or study abroad programs. There are many opportunities for student employment as well. I have had a very positive experience as a student here and would recommend it to anyone looking for a mid-sized university in the South."

"The University of Mississippi offers a pristine and safe environment. Not once did I feel threatened on campus. The students are friendly and amiable. On school days, it is very relaxed and easy going. Football, however, is a different story: we go to football games in cocktail dresses and suits and ties. We also have the largest tailgating party in the states. It is fun, yet classy. You will not see trash spewed all over the campus, like some colleges. While I loved the Ole Miss community, I was not prepared to enter the workforce. My major was English. Upon graduating, I realized there arent many opportunities available with an English degree, unless you build upon it with other majors, like law or linguistics. I am grateful for the time I spent at Ole Miss, but I am ready to increase my education, network, and build a career for myself."

"The accounting program at Ole Miss is great and the professors are there to propel your future. There are many firms (including the Big 4) that come down to Ole Miss to recruit for their companies and the classes set you up to succeed should you land a job with one of the firms. While the curriculum is rigorous, it sets you above and beyond some of your peers from other programs and gives you both the technical and personal capabilities to take your degree anywhere you want."

"The rigor of the pharmacy program is intense and I believe that I will be well-prepared when I enter the workforce. I took many Advanced Placement courses in high school and without them, the rigor would even be more difficult. Many opportunities exist to do research, work on campus or get involved with activities related to a student's major or unrelated. As a junior getting ready to enter pharmacy school, I am conducting research with a professor and graduate student as well as serving as an ambassador for the early-entry pharmacy students. I have also enjoyed the benefits of the honor college, sorority life and volunteering on campus. While students are competitive, they are also interested in seeing students succeed and very willing to extend help. Ole Miss is a very welcoming community, especially to those of us who have come from other states (I am from Indiana). Ole Miss also recognizes academic accomplishments better than most colleges that I researched. If I had to choose all over again, I would definitely select the University of Mississippi"

"I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at the University of Mississippi. I intend to graduate this upcoming spring, 2017 and will soon be applying for the graduate program at the university. The program is rigorous but definitely doable. The teachers at the school are exceptional, and I can say without a shadow of a doubt that I have gotten an amazing, quality education. The University of Mississippi some of the best programs in the state and it is very well know for the CSD graduate program. The university has done an excellent job or really having a diverse student body and engaging campus that really makes everyone feel at home. I am extremely satisfied to have chosen to attend school at the University of Mississippi."

"The African American studies program at Ole Miss is excellent. The professors are extremely smart and though the department is small they cover a wide range of topics. I was unimpressed with the psychology department. The school should do more to prevent sexual assaults. While I was a student I knew of a couple girls who were sexually assaulted. The local police wash their hands of these cases and leave it to the school. It is disgusting that the punishment for rape is only expulsion not jail time and that the "boys will be boys" mindset persist. Despite these short comings I enjoyed my time at Ole Miss and encourage others to attend if it supports their major."

The program's specific purpose is help teachers work effectively in critical needs classrooms. If you are interested in working in critical needs classrooms, then strongly consider applying to this program!"

"Pros: The University of Mississippi graduate program is very welcoming to students from all walks of life. My class alone consists of students from Saudi Arabia, Croatia, Brazil, Canada, China, Nepal, India etc. For someone like myself who loves to learn about different cultures and societies, this diversity makes for a great atmosphere in which to learn, debate or just have general discussions. The graduate school functions as a family with many gatherings outside of the classroom that serve as meet and greets where graduate students can become familiar with other students or faculty. Of all of my classes this past year, faculty and advisors were easily accessible and very accommodating. The courses are talk well with either experienced clinicians and/or researchers. Cons: The area immediately surrounding the medical center is not very safe. Robberies, shootings, car jackings have been reported (though overall :not a high crime area)"

"This Nutrition/Dietetic Internship Coordinated Program is fairly new and the department is constantly updating it and making it better. The town of Oxford, MS is by far the best place I have ever lived. The faculty, students, and locals are all very nice. The cost of living here is moderate because it is a college town, it is more expensive than the rest of Mississippi but it is less expensive than California or D.C. This is a very small program (about 8-10 people per class) so the faculty are very attentive to the students. There are Graduate Assistant (GA) programs available to masters students university wide. If you are awarded one of these positions you will be eligible for a tuition waiver as well as a small stipend. Tuition for a masters degree at Ole Miss is very reasonable even without grants scholarships. Overall, I believe that this is a wonderful program for anyone who is looking for a small, well rounded education in Nutrition and Hospitality Management. The school spirit, kindness of the people, and quality of life in Oxford make it a truly great option."

"The University of Mississippi Medical Center's Graduate PhD Program in Neuroscience is experiencing more growth at this time than I could ever have hoped for or expected. There are plans currently underway for a brand new state-of-the-art research building. A change in leadership is bringing experience and knowledge to our curriculum and career development efforts. In addition, this program has always involved faculty from several different departments, all of whom are available at all hours to meet one on one with students for anything that is needed. I am very excited about the future of the program and what it has to offer for me as a junior student."

"Pros: 1. The classes are structured where you can continue working fulltime while you are still taking classes. (They are mostly night or online classes) 2. The faculty is flexible and will work with you if you have an issue you are dealing with. Cons: 1. The school is located in a small town and there are not many opportunities for jobs in the area. 2. The program is new and was started a few years ago. They are offering more tracks to finish the program though (ex. 1year advanced standing track, 3 year track)"
