"The University of North Florida gave me not only information that prepared me for the future in my field of study but information that prepared me for everyday life. With a diverse set of students and facility I was able to grow as a person. Upon graduating I was able to immediately obtain a full time job. I have since decided to purse my masters degree in Occupational Therapy and will be starting at the University of St. Augustine in May."

"The University of North Florida Doctorate of Physical Therapy Program has a fantastic reputation for raising competent, skilled, and passionate physical therapists. My short time at UNF only backs up the positive reviews that this program has previously received. From the dean to administrative staff, every individual that has a hand in the DPT Program are overly qualified for their position and are actively involved in helping mold the brightest and most well-rounded physical therapists possible. Since beginning the UNF DPT Program, not a day goes by where I am not thankful to be a part of what is happening there. I have yet had a single regret about my choice to attend this program. It should be at the top of any prospective DPT student's list."

"Fantastic support from faculty, all of whom are willing to share their networks and career advice. The internship program structured for maximum application of theory into practice. The program offers ,any opportunities to engage in community advocacy. An extremely high pass rate for the required CPCE National Exam."

"The University of North Florida has been instrumental in helping me to achieve my goal of becoming a licensed counselor. I received a competitive degree and ample opportunity to practice my skills and network with professionals in the field. The faculty has been nurturing, challenging, and supportive throughout my tow year program. Also, I know I have met all of the requirements for licensure in my state as I graduated from a CACREP accredited program. I have enjoyed my two years as a UNF Osprey and look forward to a rewarding career!"

"I loved my school. It is small, which means less students per classroom and more attention from your professors. I wasn't a number, I was a person to them and they cared. I also loved that many of my professors still continued to practice healthcare so they were able to speak from current experience, not things that happened to them years ago. Beautiful campus, great library, plenty of quiet places to study, good food options. They are really expanding and trying to make it an experience to go to school there, not just a degree."

"The English courses I took were top notch. They were challenging and developed critical thinking. The education courses I took were immediately applicable to my career. I appreciated the care the faculty took to create my courses and I feel like I still use what I learned. An advanced degree is never a mistake."

"I attended the University of North Florida from 2004 to 2008. Overall it was a good school, good curriculum, and good financial aid. I received a scholarship from the University in addition to my Bright Futures scholarship. It's one of the youngest universities in the Florida public university system and one of the least expensive. There are ample alumni networking opportunities and while the university is constantly growing, it's small enough for you to feel valued."

"The University of North Florida is a great campus with lush nature trails and dedicated staff. The university isn't overwhelmingly large (about 16,000 students) but it is big enough for students to meet plenty of new faces and get a full college experience. From shopping at weekly Market Days to zip lining at the Osprey Challenge Course to joining one of over 200 registered clubs, UNF offers plenty of opportunities to get involved."

"I'm very glad that I chose to go to UNF. I lived on campus all four years, and the dorms are good. Beautiful campus. It's small relative to most other universities in the state with most everything within walking distance, but there are free shuttles that go around campus and to the Town Center. The city bus system also makes a couple stops on campus. No football team, but the whole school gets fired up for the basketball team, cramming the arena on big game days. My professors were all interested in what they were teaching, and all of my engineering professors incorporated their own research and career experiences into their lessons. Smaller class sizes made asking questions a lot easier and created a close-knit community of peers."

"The University of North Florida has provided me the opportunity to develop and enhance my education. I graduated with a Bachelors degree in Criminal Justice. The professors in the Criminal Justice program are very knowledgeable and facilitate a strong learning environment for every student. UNF has a small student to professor ratio which enables the student to work closely alongside their peers and professors. Each professor is closely connected with a diverse group of networks within the Criminal Justice system. The University of North Florida has made me the first college graduate in my family, and it will soon make me the first to obtain a Masters degree. Go Ospreys!"

"The University of North Florida (UNF) is a great school that is rapidly growing. Great location in Jacksonville, FL near plenty of restaurants, bars, and 20 minutes away from the beach. Unfortunately, there's is no football team, but the campus has plenty to do to include a great fitness center, sports complex and nice dorms. I attended UNF for my undergraduate and graduate degrees. Academics are up to par, but networking for some subject areas is better than others. I got my graduate degree in Public Health and the down side is that UNF doesn't have more of the scientific portions of PH like Epidemiology and Bio-statistics as specialized tracks. This was have made me more appealing to employers in the PH field."

"University of Florida is a smaller university, so the professors are able to take a more one on one approach to helping their students. The campus is surrounded by woods and ponds and is very peaceful, especially during the stresses of exams. For Biology majors the University of Florida has an excellent Biology program and even has a marine mammal necropsy lab."

"Excellent professors who truly care. Innovative research and connections with the community and possible careers. Small cohort of around 40 people really is like a family. Library is great and campus recreation is fantastic. Coming from undergrad at University of Florida, I was skeptical of a smaller, local, commuter school like UNF but it really has been an awesome educational experience all the way around."

"I graduated in 2004 so UNF has grown a lot since then but I'll share my thoughts. This was a great college. It has a very small University feel but the educators are the best and very helpful. I lived on campus my freshman year and the dorms have private bathrooms for each room. There is no football team but the basketball teams are great and there is an active Greek life."

"Overall, I was very pleased with the University of North Florida: the class sizes were very good; I found the majority of instructors very helpful and concerned with my progress (without being "easy"); having one campus is very convenient. Specifically, as an older female student, I have over time become disappointed with the CIS program: there was little hands-on, practical "real world" (how I hate that phrase) work; career assistance was non-existent; and the program seemed to have minimal breadth and minimal depth. My understanding that this has and/or is changing: the university as a whole is emphasizing "experiential learning," field work and internships. I do not hesitate to recommend the university, but would say to do the research on the degree program itself. Whatever your major, definitely look into co-ops, internships, and field work."

"Pro- The program teaches you how to think independently. Con- there are a limited number of faculty Pro- there are a lot of local alumni that work in public agencies and you can network easily. Con- program could be finished earlier if there were more faculty. Pro- great bang for your buck and the program director and other professors are really knowledgeable and passionate about their discipline."

"I am pursing a Master's in Public Administration with a concentration in Nonprofit Management at the University of North Florida. I absolutely love the program. I attempted two other programs Applied Sociology and Vocational Rehab years ago and just didn't have the maturity or the connection with those programs to be academically successful. In this program I will say, the professor are engaging, accessible, knowledgable, and resourceful. I have take 10 of the 14 courses i need within the program and i havent found one course that I didnt like or couldnt find something to apply to my life in real time . A pro would be both the material and professors in the program are engaging. One con would be I would want all of the course courses for the program to be offered every term. The program is small and has limited resources and faculty. Another pro is the connection to the community, there are many individuals who are in the program that are leaders in the Jacksonville community. One con with the program is that because of the limited number of faculty a student gets used to a certain teaching style and might have difficulty adapting to another style. One pro would be there are lots of opportunities for scholarships."

"This is new graduate program, which started in Fall 2014. As being part of the inaugural class, some of the details and specifics of expected coursework aren't laid out-so as a student, you must ask many questions to the faculty to make sure you're on track. Overall, the coursework is challenging and there is a high expectation of performance. Once the program finally gets solidified in its expectations, it will provide a decent value and education."
