"UNT keeps screwing up my class schedule. They just simply don’t care!? Or they need the money that bad?? But I was supposed to graduate but I potentially can’t because I’m on a class waiting list AS A SENIOR!! And will have to take 1 single class next fall. I’m so frustrated. First they don’t even give me the degree that doesn’t even put on track to do what I want, while telling me it will (but only at their school? Since when does a school put you through sociology courses for a Psychology degree? Now I’m gonna be stuck having a whole extra semester for ONE CLASS! And A DEGREE I DIDNT ASK FOR. What joke and major oversight. Either they don’t know what they’re doing or they just don’t care. Either way looks I’m gonna be here suffering for another year"

"Overpriced, lack of critical thinking, absolutely horrible advisors, crappy payment plans. Most professors barely speak english, you will have trouble trying to understand any instructions given, and then they will get mad at the entire class for their incompetence. Good luck getting timely responses from anyone if its not about you paying the college. Most professors and departments rarely respond to you and it could be up to a month later. When you go through their support and they direct you to someone, well good luck. Their payment plans used to work well for students but now they autodraft your bank even if they havent accepted your financial aid or processed it yet so have fun getting overdrafted if you dont have any funds. If you want the literal embodiment of a diversity hire university where the color of your skin and being from different countries matter more than any of your abilities to teach or aid students, than look no further. Have fun with people that are hired for no other reason, because most of them cant teach or answer your questions."

"UNT's Master of Science for Economics provides the most excellent education program you can receive at an affordable price. Even fully accredited schools with Ph.D. programs fail to deliver the same great experience UNT's Department of Economics provides. If you are interested in attaining a degree that maximizes your probability of getting a job or getting admitted to a Ph.D program, then UNT is the way to go!"

"The financial aid office or horrible and disorganized, it is now the end of fall semester and i still dont know where my financial aid is although studentaid.gov says they have it. As others have said you definitely will not get a reply via email and if you do it will not be a direct answer to your question or it will not be timely ( I understand covid but wven with that 2 weeks is not timely just to answer my questions). They continually told me issue was resolved and here we are months later and it is in fact not resolved. The advisors do not know what they are doing either, well my specific one does not and that does not reflect well on the other advisors nor the school. I would recommend recording any meeting with them for your records that are not through email. I transfered my transcriots to UTA as of today. This was supposed to be my last semester and it has in fact been a nightmare that turned into stretching my undergrad time longer."

"The University of North Texas has something for everyone. Campus-wide events, over 400 different student organizations, bike-friendly roads, and even a vegan cafeteria are just a few of the unique perks of attending UNT. I absolutely loved my time there. As the sixth-largest school in Texas, it has room for everyone to make a space for themselves to call home. I was a part of a poetry club and enjoyed rock climbing at the rec center. My roommate found her home with the Pokmon club and played intermural sports on the weekend. One thing that stood out to me was its diversity. As a minority-serving institution, UNTs nearly 40,000 students came from all over the world, bringing their amazing diverse backgrounds with them. I learned so much about myself, other people, and the world by just interacting with people at the Onstead promenade in the middle of campus. UNT is known for its illustrious music programs, but its kinesiology program is one of the best in the state. After graduating with my Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with an allied health focus, I felt prepared to move on to the next step of my career, physical therapy school. I was happy to find that I had been introduced to most of the basic concepts presented, and I had a leg up with exercise testing and exercise prescription. Although the class sizes were big, most of my professors would take the time to get to know their students, listen to concerns, and genuinely take interest in their students lives. I found that all of my professors loved their jobs and the material they were teaching and as a student, it made me love it as well. The only thing that I have to critique is the amount of time the program spent on the cardiac rehab aspect of kinesiology. A lot of kinesiology baccalaureates will find their career in cardiac rehabs, and that requires a lot of prior knowledge about EKGs, cardiac medications, and alternative responses to exercise that we did not touch on very much in my major."

"This college is incredibly cost-efficient which is a big reason why I transferred here. I was originally at Austin College, but it was too expensive. UNT has some of the lowest student debt in the nation, and it's very easy to earn scholarships here. The campus is fairly easy to get around, but beware of classes being placed in buildings that don't match (I had American Literature in the Biology building and so on). The professors, especially for the English program, are incredibly nice, helpful, and intelligent. They don't want to see anyone fail their classes, and they will help you out. There are some fun classes you can take here too, and I encourage you to take full advantage of them. The English program definitely felt more like a family than an academic degree plan."

"This university is a great academically stimulating environment. What I love about this university is that aside from being academically stimulating, it is very family friendly. From faculty down to students, everyone at the university is treated with dignity and respect."

"I loved my time spent at UNT as an undergraduate in the Communication Studies department. I consistently felt as though I was being challenged in ways the would eventually allow me success in my career, and led me to make the choice to pursue and graduate level education prior to entering the workforce. The professors I had during my undergraduate career were immensely helpful when it came to clarifying assignments and finding ways to motivate beyond typical or expected monologues. Professors in this program are going to be real with you but are also going to help you figure out exactly what you need to do to be successful in their classes as long as you make the effort."

"UNT is honestly an amazing university. my experience on campus was truly also positive. They were able to help me find scholarship due to my personal Financial situation. the faculty I got to work with were also very understanding and helpful. while not everyone I met was this way a large majority were. my only complaint was I felt the undergrad program could have pushed me a little hard. now being in graduate school I found that I wasn't pushed as hard as I would have liked to have been. however I wouldn't trade this experience for anything greek life is so amazing, so many organizations to get involved in, denton is AMAZING with AWESOME food, if your 21+ fry street is fun and cheap, will always cherish my time at UNT"

"The Univerisity of North Texas (UNT) is a fantastic school for students interested in any major. The university offers a wide selection of degree programs and is well known for its College of Music as well as its College of Visual Art and Design (CVAD). During my four years at UNT, I studied Fine Arts and found the faculty, facilities, and course content phenomenal. The CVAD building was recently renovated and construction was completed following my graduation but from what I saw, the facilities are even better than before and offer students numerous tools for their work. For anyone considering a creative degree, whether that's fine arts, digital art, or art education, UNT goes above and beyond for its students."

"The Rehabilitation Studies degree program at the University of North Texas is awesome! All of the classes are offered online so you can make your own flexible school schedule and have a job if necessary. All of my professors were extremely helpful and I still maintain contact with old professors and use them as references. I love the campus environment and stayed involved in different organizations. However, there is a lot of construction in Denton but I know once the new buildings and dorms are established; the school will look beautiful. I was a Resident Assistant for two years and I would definitely recommend on-campus living. The dorms are very nice and clean!"

"I thoroughly enjoyed the campus life at the University of North Texas. Denton is a small town with a lot of character. It is often compared to Austin, Texas. It is close to Dallas and Fort Worth so there is always plenty to do. The campus was always going through improvements to make student life a better experience. The teachers in the English department were great. I believe they equipped me well and gave me every opportunity to succeed. My educational experience there trained me well for graduate work. Like most college experiences, you can get as much or as little out of it as you want. I look back on my time at UNT with fond memories."

"The University of North Texas Prepared it's students in the kinesiology program for one thing, and one thing only: to enter graduate school and continue to pursue a a career of research in a field that is incredibly over saturated as is. The only viable option that could lead you down the path of a great career or a successful paycheck was to take the teaching track or to take the pre-med track. A general degree in kinesiology will get you nothing. I'm not angry at the experience or the university. Retrospectively, attending UNT for the the degree I obtained did not prepare me for Parker University or for a job upon completion of a bachelors degree."

"Absolute garbage. I would recommend this school to absolutely no one. Parking is nonexistent unless you want to pay $1,200. Online interfaces are terrible. Everything is under construction. Denton is gross and apartment monopolies will charge you thousands for a rat infested hole. Dorms are terrible with no privacy as you are subject to frequent prison style checks. It's not like you are paying thousands for the squalor of a dorm. It's awful, and my biggest regret in life so far is attending this university."

"I would not recommend this college for any student. They have 40,000 students enrolled into the school. They have neither the facilities nor manpower available to cater for any students needs. Your biggest struggle in this school will be registering for classes. Parking is more expensive than in downtown Austin Texas, 250 bucks. This school was an immense struggle for me coz of the admin I would not recommend it. The school's student financial services is as horrible as they come, you will have to prod them for every single bit of info regarding your tuition. They never get back to students about anything."

"It was a great degree program that afforded a great job after graduation. What drew to the school was its affordability, as well as, the diversity. The campus includes a broad range of students, but even though many are from different backgrounds, the campus has the ability of bringing everyone together. While living on campus, I have never felt more safe, safety is a top priority for the school and I am proud to call myself an eagle. The resources available on school are simply amazing, so you should never feel behind on anything course related. For the future, I am considering on continuing with a graduate academic career in the near future at UNT. Go Mean Green!"

"I had the pleasure of studying at The University of North Texas for that past 3 years. In these 3 years I have not only learned about ABA from professors who teach, have worked and continue to do work in the field of ABA, and publish much of their own research but I have also gained a lot of experience working at the UNT Kristen Farmer Autism Center. My classes were always engaging and my passion grew in my years here which has pushed me to pursue my masters degree. If you are looking for a high quality program in ABA I highly recommend The University of North Texas."

"The Communication Design program is known on the North Texas campus as the hardest degree to obtain, it's only rival being the engineering school. I submitted my entrance portfolio for acceptance into the program with 300 of my peers. Of the 75 accepts, only 16 of us graduated from the program with an art direction (AD) focus and 15 with a graphic design (GD) focus. They cut people every semester and it is mostly subjective since the work is concept based as well as technical skill and participation. One semester I pulled over 20 all nighters and the crazy thing is that isn't even an exaggeration. At any time I could have quit and taken an easier route and I might have had I not felt like I improved exponentially from semester to semester. The program trains you from technical to digital and the rigorous nature only improves the class dynamic as you go on."

"The quality of education that I received in the Master's of Education program at the University of North Texas was paramount! Not only are the instructors highly respected in the field of Counseling, but they truly ensure that their students thrive! I often refer back to the lessons and practices that they demonstrated. In fact, 5 years later I am still able to reach out to many of my professors, as they are more than willing to serve in a mentor capacity. Although there were many options when it came to my choice in Graduate schools, I could not be happier with my choice to choose the University of North Texas Counseling Program."
