"The University of Oklahoma is a state school with a huge community. It is the largest school in Oklahoma and has pretty big lectures for freshman mandatory classes that are hit/miss in terms of the quality of instruction. But major classes and honors classes are an amazing experience. I was a student of Linguistics with a small department, only 3 professors, but I learned immense amounts of knowledge concerning structure of language and how understanding language helps us understand people and how to learn language through analytics. It is an extremely practical degree, one that paired perfectly with my other major in Chinese, which had many scholarships and opportunities to study in China expense paid."

"In the first year or so, the introduction classes were enjoyable, simply due to having a passion for the subject matter, but they were not taught ideally. Because other non-major students also had to take some of these classes to satisfy general education courses, the class sizes were large and there were many students that were often not as motivated as I was, bringing down the initial experience. However, I think emailing teachers or going to their office hours and finding other students within the major to connect with enhanced the classes despite the negatives. Classes for the upper division courses were much better because the class sizes were small, allowing more personal relationships to be formed between fellow students, as well as student-teacher, which became very important when it came time for teachers to fill out recommendations. I think what made this experience the most satisfying was continually being "that student" in class to ask a million questions, truly do the assigned reading and stay organized in whatever way you study best, and embrace the material (especially in foundation classes) that may seem the most difficult or tedious, because if you miss the foundation, you won't have a strong knowledge base upon which to continue."

"I graduated from the University of Oklahoma with an Elementary Education degree. I loved the program because of the faculty members and the courses offered. I felt prepared to teach the curriculum at my current school and was even able to bring new ideas to my co-workers!"

"Oklahoma University is a great school, depending on your field of study. My degree was in Women and Gender Studies, and I do not recommend a person seeking this degree program at Oklahoma University. The college of Gender Studies, at Oklahoma University, is small and the feminist education has been somewhat taken over by the interests of individual professors and students. I do not feel that the program offers adequate teaching on the subjects of reproductive justice and it over-emphasizes queer theory, which I do not see as conclusive or even solid science. I do love OU campus and believe the University has excellent programs in areas of science and engineering. The law school is impressive. It is not difficult to get into OU, and this favorable fact may serve to persuade some reading this review to apply."

"The University of Oklahoma is a fantastic university. It is large and cutting edge having an IT department staying on the latest trends, and an entire separate campus dedicated solely to research. The chemistry department is excellent with countless active research projects being worked on from undergraduates, graduates, and post doctorates."

"The University of Oklahoma College of Law is at the forefront of legal education. The recent addition of the digital initiative, providing cutting-edge technology both in the classroom and the library, has led to the creation of the Center for Legal Technology in Practice that allows students to learn how to both upgrade the systems of the firms where they work, and educate experienced lawyers on the new tools available to them to greatly improve efficiency and productivity. I am completely satisfied with my decision to get my JD from OU Law, and you will be too."

"The University of Oklahoma's dual master's degree program in Human Relations and International Relations is intense yet perfectly structured to meet the needs of active duty military or anyone who is serious about their graduate-level education. It was such an amazing opportunity to be stationed overseas but still have face to face instruction from actual OU professors. I took all of my courses face to face and then participated in the commencement ceremony on the Norman Campus. The University of Oklahoma made me feel like a true Sooner!"

"University of Oklahoma (OU) is a remarkable university that has a lot to offer their students. The curriculum is challenging, and there are a lot of activities to be involved with here. Some of the most rewarding experiences of my life have come during my time here at OU. Especially the organizations like ASCE, that gave me an idea of what my life will be like after school and how I can prepare for the change."

"I will say college is what you make of it. At University of Oklahoma is thorough and requires a considerable amount of work from the student, which implies homework must be completed and understood and classwork taken seriously. The chemical engineering department offered a tutoring session which was of tremendous help to the students in my class. In addition, the engineering program offers various tutoring and mentoring programs as well to keep students on a continuous path of success."

OU is consistently ranked the top school in the state of Oklahoma and well known for its college of business and health. "Careers in journalism are few and far between. I received a job out of school but paid poorly. Now trying to obtain my MBA to get out of the field. I would recommend receiving a second degree so you have options out of school. The program it self was decent but the state of journalism is poor."
