"The pros are the flexibility for working people, group support, and professors. The cons are the drive to get there, night classes only, and cost."

"I believe University of Phoenix has a great program. There were a few categories that I may have rated lower, but I understand the university is not a traditional university. Thus far I have had a relatively pleasant experience while attending university of phoenix. I believe tuition is extremely high when it comes down to comparing what career may be chosen and how much a student will be making once graduating from school."

"The financial aid and educational counselors were outstanding. Both parties checked on me throughtout my education to ensure all my needs were met. The program was challenging, and informational. The resources through the college were a huge asset."

"University of Phoenix provided the flexibility needed for me to complete a graduate program in the field of my choice as a single mother and full time employee. The University of Phoenix provided excellent faculty to teach me counseling skill in preparation for becoming an intern and to sit for licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist. Many of the class were rushed as each class consisted of 6 week sessions. Short class sessions made it difficult to retain the amount of information that was given throughout each course. With this being said, complete understanding of how the accelerated would work was explained prior to my enrollent."

"I attended the master of science in counseling program with University of Phoenix. The pros for this program is all courses were on-site, which encouraged students to develop therapeutic skills in the classroom. Our socratic seminar type lectures encouraged critical thinking skill development. The con to this program is that the on-site courses were held 50 minutes from my location so transportation could be an issue."

"Overall I am satisfied with the program. The students' professional backgrounds and cultural diversity make the experience richer. The program requires weekly presentations. These help the students prepare for real situations in the workforce and get comfortable with public speaking. One thing that is difficult to manage is the short time given between classes. It puts a lot of pressure on the students especially when working a full-time job while going to school."
