"If you want your professors to know who you are and really care whether or not you succeed, UOP is the school for you. Small class sizes, individual attention, small-school community among students."

"The University of the Pacific is an excellent university and I am glad that I chose the school. The program is very challenging but the faculty and the curriculum is preparing me well for a career in Audiology."

"UoP have an unique accelerated program that allow pre-pharmacy students to finish undergrad+pharm school in 5, 6, or 7 years. The courses are challenging, but the professors are approachable and willing to help struggling students. Some parts of Stockton is dangerous and should be avoided, but the school itself is pretty safe with on campus police and transportation services at night. The downside to all of this is the high tuition cost."

"McGeorge is very regionally focused on Sacramento, which is great for people who want to work in the capital or the Sacramento region. This focus is not so great for people who want to connections with the Bay Area or So Cal. The professors are excellent, kind, and accessible. They make a lot of time for their students and will go to great lengths to make their students successful. It's not a very high-ranking school, but I predict the school's rank will rise in the next few years."

"The UOP Pharmacy program is attractive in many respects. While most other programs are 4 years in length, UOP's is only 3 years long, allowing students to more quickly enter into their true passion: healthcare. In addition, its long history gives students a great network of alumni all throughout the nation. The one issue with UOP is that while the campus itself is safe, the university is located within the relatively unsafe city of Stockton, which has a high crime rate."

"University of the Pacific offers incredible opportunity for education, socializing, networking and impacting the surrounding community. The class sizes and workload are prime for maximum support. Advancement is waiting around every corner, it takes an applied and motivated student to succeed, however the opportunities are endless. I would recommend University of the Pacific as Bachelor or Masters choice of degree."

"UOP's dental school provides an excellent education, with exposure to more complex clinical cases and patients with special needs. The opportunities to get involved in activities that interest you or the support to create programs of your own is fantastic here. You are challenged to strive for excellence every day, and your fellow students and faculty help you along the way. The area and the school is expensive, but it is worth it. Pacific has one of the highest percentages of alumni who donate back to the school , and many of the donate big. Many people who graduate dental school leave their school and never look back. At Pacific, people keep ties to the school, their fellow students and alumni out in the field- it is an extensive network. Also, when talking to other dental students, they have been impressed by the things we get to do at school, both in the clinic and in the community. Pacific had been the perfect place for me to learn and grow in way I never knew I could, and while the program is very challenging, I will never regret attending my #1 choice - UOP."

"University of the Pacific, the school itself is known as an Ivy League of the West. Its program in Engineering is well known and the classes have a wide range. The surrounding area near the school has gone through economic changes that are allowing for the community and artists to rise together and create a Stockton with a new image. All together, it is a great place and great program with a community that offers support to help you grow both as an individual and a student."

"The Pros and Cons of the political science program within the University of the Pacific is excellence. The Political Science department and professors expect the highest quality of work from students and if they do not receive it then your grades suffer immensely. On the other hand the strenuous work load that is expected of all students prepares them for a vital and thriving position in a political arena, either thru government or private practice. Students are encouraged to enter the Political arena and use their skills learned and apply them to aid in government or private practice."

"Tell us about your college experience. My college experience was maybe a 3-4 out of 10. I did not enjoy my time, it was too far from home and I was a loner so I hid most of the time in my dorm. I didn't make a lot of friends and my degree is relatively useless due to the tank in the economy. I don't have rich parents or connections so I was left to do a minimum wage job to pay back all my loans. I wish I never went, I think it ruined my life.Would you get the same degree if you could start over?I would not choose the same degree I would have chosen Computer Science or any engineering related job that is tech related. What advice can you offer other students?Don't go to college if you cannot afford it/do not know what you want to do, find your own way to success not some school."

"The pharmacy program at the University of the Pacific is an accelerated program, and allows those who are a part of it to finish graduate school in 3 years. Most of the professors are easy to approach and care about their students' well-being. Many professors make themselves easily accessible as well, which means that help and support are usually available. The education provided by the University of the Pacific is top-notch. However, the downside of going to this school is the lack of activities to do in the surrounding community. The social environment may seem slow at times because of this, but this definitely gives most people extra time to study!"
