  • Degree: Psychology
"The University of Utah's Psychology program is outstanding. The professors are knowledgeable and willing to help any student who is dedicated to advancing their academic career. Psychology is an extremely diverse degree. With an engineering degree, you become and engineer, a law degree you become lawyer, etc. With a psychology degree, you can pursue any number of career paths which is both exciting and daunting. This is why I highly recommend you rely on the support services of the U of U Academic Advisors and The Career Services Office. These highly trained professionals in will help accelerate your career after graduation."

"The advisor for the Film program did not review what types of classes would be helpful in pursuing a career. Yes, I new that this was a hard field to break into. I feel like the advisor should have directed me to more hands on classes instead of classes that were just about learning vocabulary and different genres. Although I enjoyed most of the classes I took, I was disappointed in the hands on experience. I also believe they should update their class descriptions. I took a class that was supposed to be about women in film. It ended up being a class about women who made films that were emphasizing sexual orientations. Although I have no qualms about lesbians, I did not want to watch a lesbian pornography, which is what I saw a lot of and was required to write about for my grade."
