"Darden is an amazing business school. Charlottesville is a welcoming city and the community at UVA speaks to that culture. The faculty and student body encourage each other to push harder and be better."

"I have loved being a graduate student at UVA. It is an outstanding school. The environment is excellent for growth in schooling, personal development and making lasting friendships. The University Career Services does an amazing job of bringing recruiters to campus and helping students achieve their goals and dreams by attaining the right first jobs.UVA has helped me to grow and mature as a person and as a professional. I am pleased to be a WAHOO!"

"The Batten School of Public Policy is only in it's 5th year and is definitely improving every year. I'm lucky to be a part of this program."

"Even during these difficult economic times, the University of Virginia is an excellent place to conduct social science research. My advisors are extremely productive and enthusiastic about their research, and graduate students have the resources they need to be involved in meaningful work and to publish frequently."

"I am in the psychology graduate program, and I love it. The culture within the department and, from my limited experience, of the graduate program more broadly, is an incredibly warm, friendly, collaborative, intellectually curious, and genuinely happy one. The faculty, on the whole, tend to care a great deal about their students' research careers as well as their overall well-being (though there are, of course, a few unfortunate exceptions, as everywhere). And I do love Charlottesville, though sometimes I wish it were a bit more city-like (with a population that includes a slightly higher proportion of working professionals to undergrads!), but the cute, historic college town feel also has its perks. I chose UVA over Harvard, U Penn, & a number of other "shinier" schools, & I haven't regretted it for a second!"

"Great professors, education, and culture! Bad parking and not a lot to do in town... but that's probably good for law school."

"The Physics building is not very inspiring to _live_ in, as graduate students need to do sometimes. But I am very happy with the research opportunities presented to me here. The campus is very nice and the city is beautiful, although students are usually constrained between the campus, the downtown mall, and the Barracks Rd mall."
