Valencia Community College Reviews
Student & Graduate Reviews (3)
Adult students should avoid this school. Nearly all classes are split into two sessions per week, where they used to be one session per week. You will have to put up with your classmates texting right in front of the professor, instead of working. If you take an online class, the professor will not help you if a classmate attacks you over something you post. Also, all students are forced to take the new student experience class. You cannot test out of it or get credit for life experience. It's a bs "self-discovery" class. Most of the A.S. degree classes are online only. Online learning is not a good fit for everyone! This school is terrible.
Valencia has gone through quite a few changes in the past 5-7 years. When I first started out I was a dual enrollment high school senior. I was going for an AA in healthcare management, about halfway into my degree they changed all of the AA degrees to general studies degrees. I ended up graduating with quite a few extra credits. With all that said, I had some amazing professors and all of the extra credits I ended up with really helped me in my career working for a major local hospital. For me community college was a great starting place versus a major university where you can sometimes get lost in translation.
It is a great program that is ABA approved. You will graduate fully prepared for a lucrative career in the legal field. The teachers are all very knowledgable and helpful. The smaller class sizes makes for a more intimate and personal learning experience.
