"Probably one of the worst schools ever! If you’re thinking of going to their nursing program, DO NOT DO IT. This is not only extremely expensive however, it is extremely unorganized and has an unfair grading system. For example if you pass an assignment or exam and a lot of people do not pass, it gets thrown out and risk failing! They also have an expectation rate of 80% for every class which makes no sense when they throw in and out assignments. They doing give proper study guides and make their own exams. All this combined with poor, experienced teachers, and poor teachings do nothing besides sign you up for failure and wasting of your money. They act like they care but they DO NOT CARE. Don’t be fooled this is the fakest Christian school ever, they have students in short shorts and teachers that bully students."

"Washington Adventist University is great! The campus has expended and offers students the opportunity to engage in social justice programs thanks to its proximity to Washington DC. The professors and staff at WAU take a personal interest in the students. Helping students to find their voice both in the academic and social sense. This school offers students a wide array of opportunities including but not limited to experiences in athletics, academics, internships within US government entities, music including performances in recognized locations such as Carnegie Hall and exotic locations abroad. Moreover, WAU alums work in all areas of the business field from fashion to nonprofit to government to healthcare. The well rounded nature of WAU prepares students for career success but also to become active citizens with a voice that address issues related to social justice. In addition, the history of WAU is one based in the philosophy of Christian teachings and thus there is an opportunity to discuss issues of faith in a safe and welcoming environment where students from all faiths come together to genuinely understand and debate religious philosophies including the origin of life and if God even exists! When my children are looking at attending college, I hope they will consider WAU as one of their options because the lessons learned there are lifelong as are the friendships both with students and faculty. Finally, the University engages its alums in many ways including asking them to participate on various councils. Thus even after graduation, students are still linked to the University and can give back in meaningful ways."

"The school I went to was a small private Christian school. I loved the small classes for great conversations with professors after class. The small class sizes made it easy to make friends and talk to everyone. I also did not mind the faith aspect of the school either since professors are able to talk about their faith in class."

"The program at Washington Adventist University was to me superior because of the faculty and the chosen curriculum. I so far have not found a group of more dedicated, Christ centered, motivated instructors anywhere. Each professor gave abundantly over and beyond their required 100%.. Each class I took motivated me to continue with my education and to give back. Each student was valued, not as a means to a pay check but as a precious soul and a future contributor to the well being of society. The bonds that were developed, even though fully professional, are ones that will not be easily broken. Each professor gave me the inspirational desire to take all the classes that they taught, simply to be able to continue to sit at their feet and learn. I will ever be grateful for my experience there. Sadly because of the logistics of distance, I will not be able to graduate from there. However, I would go back to Washington Adventist University in a heart beat."

"The Counseling Psychology Program is preparing me to enter into a new job market. The evening courses meet my work and family schedule. The professor teach current information in their area of study. The cons is the school do not offer any kind of scholarships. If you obtain a scholarship, the financial aid office will receive the monetary award. Also, they do not offer any assistance in seeking scholarships and grants to assist with your financial needs."

"The Washington Adventist University Counseling Psychology Program is accelerated degree process and meets the scheduling needs of single parents. The cons are a lot of the programs to help the students are offered during the day. Therefore, it make it difficult for the working student to participate."
