"I enjoyed my time at Wesleyan, even if I did not take advantage of it. The temptation to just enjoy yourself without bettering yourself may be great, but the real value is in the professors, their knowledge and their ability to inspire. Go out of your way to learn about the people you are learning from as they will be some of the most impactful people in your life."

"Wesleyan University is a rigorous, diverse school where students wrestle with big ideas. At Wesleyan, expect to learn not only in your classes, but outside of them, as you interact with the many passionate and incredibly intelligent students. Even though I studied literature, history and philosophy, I learned about so much more than that just from interacting with other members of my class. I found that being on the campus challenged me to think critically, write analytically and become a better version of myself. I left Wesleyan feeling like I could handle any challenge because I learned how to critically think and wrestle with ideas; these are skills that translate to any job and will help you become a leader in your field."

"Wesleyan University is forward-thinking enough to have created the only Graduate program in the United States that addresses performance curation in the arts. The Institute for Curatorial Practice in Performance is leap years ahead of the field in regards to addressing social and cultural contexts supporting the presentation of movement-based art. I offer my highest recommendation for this program. They provide the next level of criticality, scholarship, and seriousness to this dynamic art form and the profession of curation, support, and presentation."

"Wesleyan University is, overall, a tremendous institution. In my view its greatest strengths are the faculty, and the range of resources available to students to create a vibrant student life. When I was a student the school had a need blind admissions program and committed to meeting the financial needs of any admitted students. It was an important program and one that no doubt changed many lives, including my own, and made the university a more diverse, dynamic community. Financial difficulties have seen this program fall away- a move I hope can be reversed, so that other students from less traditional backgrounds can enjoy the same resources and opportunity I did."

"It was a great place to explore the subjects I was passionate about, even outside my main course of study."

"Wesleyan was (and continues to be) a thoughtful community full of intellectually-driven students, faculty and staff. Big enough that you continue to meet new people regularly, but small enough that you are able to keep in touch with the people that you know, Wesleyan was the perfect size to allow for smaller classes, all of overachievers (myself included) who care about enacting change. Very proud to be a Wesleyan alum - which is not to say that the university is perfect, or always makes the right decisions - but very proud to be part of a community that thinks hard and engages with the world."

"Wesleyan is an amazing experience both academically and socially. The largely open curriculum allowed me to take courses in computer programming, data science, produce, shoot, and edit my own documentary film, and study the classics while completing interesting and varied coursework for my major. The social scene is even more varied and your classmate's interests know no bounds. I personally found my niche in club sports and comedy but I also remained close with many people I just met in passing. The one issue that may well be resolved now is that the career services office leaves much to be desired if you don't want to go into consulting, public service, or grad school. I was definitely not expecting them to find me a job but even as an alum trying to post job openings, the office is still not that great. But do not let that deter you. All of my friends from across majors have fulfilling jobs and lives and that is all thanks to the Wesleyan education."

"Wesleyan allows students to gain independence and responsibility in their academic and professional development. Students are held to a high standard, while being allowed to explore and develop their passions and interests. The student body is highly active making it a campus filled with activities. It is an especially supportive place for the arts, with student run organizations putting on performances almost every week."

"Wesleyan is unique and a great place to study science, but it can start to feel small after a while."

"The graduate program is very convenient for people with full-time jobs, that are not able to go to school 4 days a week. There is class one night a week and lasts four hours. The work load is not too difficult, we have quite a bit of reading to do each week and there are many papers to write, but we do not take test. Not having to take the time to study for a test is great, but we spend just as much time writing the papers that are due. This program has been great so far and I look forward to finishing my bachelors degree with Oklahoma Wesleyan University."

"I had an amazing and unique experience at Wesleyan where I was given the opportunity to learn by doing rather than just learning from textbooks. I was encouraged to follow my interests and passion throughout my education at Wesleyan, and I had many experiences that I never would've dreamed possible. I was able to spend three summers and an entire academic year in Japan, including the experience of living with multiple host families in a various cities around the country. However, although I loved my experience and wouldn't change a thing about my East Asian Studies major, I wish I had spend more time thinking about my long-term career path. If I could go back, I would double major in English or a more mainstream major in order to open up more job opportunities. Financially Wesleyan was a great choice for me, as I qualified for over $120,000 in grants & scholarships, making Wesleyan the least expensive choice for me even when compared to the public schools where I was accepted (UCSC, UCSB, UW)."

"Excellent faculty is the biggest pro. Virtually no financial aid (here I am) but they do have reciprocity agreements with many organizations and school districts for teachers in the area. However, neither category fits me currently... I enjoy the program and it will/is meeting my personal and professional needs."

"Graduate Liberal Studies at Wesleyan is a thrilling intellectual journey, providing countless opportunities to develop the flexibility of mind and real-world skills that are essential to career advancement in any field. I've more than enjoyed my time pursuing the Master of Arts in Liberal Studies, and am now considering furthering my study at Wesleyan with the Master of Philosophy in Liberal Arts."
