"This school treats their veteran population on campus like second class citizens. If you are a veteran please do not go to this school, they will mess up your benefits, and provide a salty taste to the civilian life and what it means to b a community."

"I would highly recommend the MBA program. I chose this program due to the proximity to my home at first, I wanted to complete my MBA in person rather than online. The program has exceeded my expectations far more than expected. I now work underneath my CFO and every one of my classmates from my cohort have been promoted and/or have found new jobs during the life of the program. If you want to take the next step in your career complete the MBA program at WJU. The professors are always attentive and you can complete the program while working full time. The program is challenging, which is expected from an MBA."

"I thoroughly enjoyed my time at William Jessup University. Through both my general education and my major specific work I was challenged, motivated, and genuinely invested in by my professors. It was through their help and encouragement that I was able to finish my degree a semester early and with a 4.0 GPA (all while working full time!). The campus is beautiful and expanding quickly."

"I really enjoyed the University. The teachers were amazing at being personable with the students. This University helped me grow in more ways than just schooling. They really try to engage all students and create a community atmosphere. I would highly recommend this University!"

"I went to WJU mainly for their music program. At the time, it was required that everyone double-majored in Bible and Theology....no problem. I loved the school, loved the teachers, loved the atmosphere, even Rocklin, CA was pretty cool. My goal was to use my training in Music and Worship as either a worship leader, or as a professional performing musician....I wasn't sure where God was leading me at the time. But I did not want to teach music. I chose WJU specifically because of the Worship element of the degree, and because the focus was on modern worship music, not classical or jazz. However, I only received 1 class regarding worship and 1 class regarding church administration. Ok....not too bad, and those classes were amazing and challenging. So I didn't complain too much. Here's where I had the problem: while I was there, the music requirements changed about a year into my schooling and were then based around classical music. Music theory was classical, choir was classical, ensembles were classical, recitals were classical, vocal, guitar, and piano lessons were classical, etc. While there is nothing wrong with classical music, I was having to learn relevant worship music and contemporary music on my own. While much of the information I learned relates to multiple genres of music, there was a ton of stuff I had to find out on my own. Also, there was a TON of important music theory information that was skipped over in my classes.....information that I use 100 times a day as a performing musician. There were extra curricular activities that helped me (like the Chapel worship team), but I gained the useful information from my peers, not from a teacher. Towards the end of my school career, I felt God leading me to become a full-time, professional, performing musician. I realized that my education at WJU had not prepared me to enter the field that I desired. I decided to finish schooling early so that I could then go to another school that would better prepare me to perform, sight-read, record, and play nearly all genres of music. While the music degree at WJU is good, and I loved the teachers, be aware that a degree in Music and Worship is really a degree in Classical Music Studies......not even in Classical Performance."

"Being the first in a long line of family members before me to attend college was a huge blessing. Excited about the opportunity to attend college was an understatement. San Jose Christian College sort of chose me since I had a connection with students who were attending there. A small, private university in the Bay Area it was welcoming, friendly, personal, and well...small. While it lacked quite a bit in efficiency of process and technology and the like, it made up for in spirit and care for students and their life story. I received one on one attention from my faculty mentor during advising or tutoring and small classes ensured that I was learning the material well. While the list of faculty was short, they were well educated in their field and I feel that I received adequate (for this size school) educational instruction. Some instructers/courses better than others of course, as with a majority of institutions. The school and it's programs (and of course the educational content, efficiencies, and list of faculty) have grown exponentially since my grad year and yet I have first hand knowledge that they try to continue to be personal and care for students in the same way they have done in years previous. I would recommend San Jose Christian College, now William Jessup University, to any student who is seeking a personal and intentional place to learn and grow during their college experience."

"The instructors within the business department not only teach applicable curriculum to enable you to succeed in today's workforce but more importantly the integration of your faith within your occupation. These instructors genuinely care about you- not only as a student but as a person. They go beyond teaching in the classroom to assist you in achieving lifetime goals related to your career and ministry. They are tentative about keeping in touch with you beyond your graduation. If you want to be just another student in a class then the WJU business department is not for you. The instructors care too much for that."

"I lived on campus for three years (the fourth I was a commuter; I got an apartment my senior year to ease into the transition of life), and my Junior year I was a Resident Assistant in the dorms. Having that said, I can communicate to you from experience that William Jessup University not only provides top-notch education, but also a small, tight-knit community that stimulates growth and excellence. It would be difficult to explain every facet of WJU and why it remains to be so great, not for lack of amazing aspects, but the overabundance of them. I would highly recommend checking out the University for yourself and if you are close enough, arranging a visit to the campus (which is in itself a magnificent piece of architecture) and talking with some of the people there for first-hand accounts. When asked the question, "What is the best part of William Jessup University?" I heard the same answer, from everyone, every single year: The Community. I have no doubt in my mind that if you went there today, you would receive that very same answer."

"I highly recommend William Jessup University. I earned my BS degree in the School of Professional Studies program at the San Jose campus. Accelerated courses put you on a fast-track to earning your degree in less than 2 years. With small class sizes, you get individual attention from the instructor and develop friendships and networks. The text books are the latest and greatest, and each assignment teaches skills that are directly transferrable to your career. The program is expanding and includes certificate, bachelor, and master’s programs. If you want to "finish what you started", consider William Jessup University."

"What stands out most about my educational experience at William Jessup is how invested most of the instructors were towards the students. I felt they sincerely cared about what I learned and how applicable this knowledge was to my current and future life. I felt valued and encouraged by their relational approach in addition to being encouraged to strive towards the achievement of my goals. Two of my instructors were the former president and current president of WJU. That they would take the time to work with students was an impressive and rewarding experience I will never forget."

"I graduated in 2007 so this review may be a little dated. WJU is a Christian school. I loved attending this school. The teachers challenged me to think harder and dig deeper into what we were studying. If you go for the Music & Worship degree, you will learn a gambit of different aspects of the music world. From music theory to ear training to piano lessons to world music, there is something for every type of music lover. If you love God and want to learn how to worship Him through music and want to be challenged intellectually as well as spiritually along the way, there are not many schools better than William Jessup University. It is a small school. There were about 500 students when I graduated and now in 2014, I believe there are around 1200. So it is intimate and you will likely get to know your professors and they will likely get to know you. It is a place you will have fun, grow closer to God and build relationships that will last a lifetime."

"In my four years at Jessup (well it was San Jose Christian back then), I not only grew academically, but also personally. It was such a nice, tight-nit family where I felt safe. I was able to really reflect, review, and get the help that I needed to grow as a person!"

"William Jessup is a place where people come together to express their ideas and opinions in conjunction with practical, applicable, and challenging material taught in and outside of the classroom. WJU is a place where your faculty cares about your desires, passions, life, and relationship with God."

"WJU offered a unique program in psychology that helped the student examine and understand themselves further so that we could help others in an unhindered way. So many other programs are strictly "others-focused" when learning how to counsel in a clinical setting, but WJU believed that an effective counselor was one who first understood themselves. I grew a tremendous amount in my personal life. When I received my degree I felt like I had become a better person and I was fully equipped for my field of work."

"The programs at WJU are each structured with the goal of training the students to apply their education in their careers; not simply to complete a degree. I think this is a significant departure from the typical school of thought at many universities; WJU is highly successful in having students in 4 years. WJU provides qualified professors and intimate classroom sizes. WJU also cares holistically about the development of individuals: working to meet everyone at their level to achieve their personal goals. Few places can deliver such a level of quality, but WJU finds the balance between a high standard and the desire to adapt to meet the needs of the individual student."
