"Not a good university for nursing. Lack of instruction and most professors r rude. Administration is nonexistent and they hire anyone. Grading is off, profs can take however they want to give grades back, and u will receive your ATT last. Even if u get in for free, look somewhere else"

"I may have admired two of the many teachers I had here. A good amount of them were rude and terrible teachers, should not be nurses or teachers. My gf went to community for nursing and I believe she received the better education wpu is expensive, the school itself had many flaws they need to figure out. Had us in class for most of the week never teaching anything even close to the exam, classes were a waste of time only that they got me to my end game. If this is the school you get into it, of course take it. If there are other options, look into them. Morris county comm has a great program I've heard. Not to mention a few other communities in NJ having a much better program than here."

"Going to William Paterson was such a rewarding experience. I got to study business on their business campus which was very high tech. Most of my professors were so knowledgeable and really prepared you for the real world. Every staff member really helped me along the journey. My academic adviser helped me devise a plan to graduate in the time frame that I wanted. The business classes really helped me out. I still remember some of the concepts from my marketing class. The capstone class taught me so much about evaluating business and innovation necessary to compete and stay relevant. I really loved my teachers, classes and classmates while attending. I could not have had a more positive experience. The campus was beautiful as well. They were really focused on improving campus life and were doing that. They were expanding parking and building a brand-new science hall that would be state of the art. It is done by now.The only negatives I could think of was the parking situation on campus. For a commuter student, I was often late for classes while I looked for parking. I believe they were considering adding a parking deck on campus to help with this problem. The same as not true about the business campus. Parking here was phenomenal. The student center was beautiful, and I often like dining at the Burger King on campus. I had never stepped foot into a dorm room but heard from people who lived there that they could use a little updating."

"William Paterson University is a great college that is very welcoming to new students. I transferred in as a junior with my associate's degree from community college. Even for transfer students, they are always looking for ways to include you in the student population. they have a special honor society called Tau Sigma specifically for transfer students who earn a 3.5 GPA or higher their first semester at WPU. Events are held on campus often and there are always activities during common hour on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The professors that I have had have been truly wonderful. They really care about your success and want to see you succeed. They were always available for extra help and answered emails pretty promptly. WPU is a very big commuter school, so the parking is free, which is a bonus! Overall, I enjoyed my two years at William Paterson University. It is a great, lower-cost school."

"I would highly recommend attending this university specifically if you are interested in the business field. The have an entire building dedicated to business majors. The curriculum was challenging but you will learn what you need in order to thrive in your field. The professors are all very helpful and encouraging. They are a great resource if you looking for guidance with anything."

"The graduate admissions office quickly reviewed my application and continuously communicated with me about my status. The advisor for my specific program is out of the country and still responded to my emails regarding the program requirements."

"When taking William Paterson University courses at Mercer County Community College you will initially feel a little neglected but you shouldn't. The staff that is assigned to work with WPU@MCCC students are very dedicated to the job and to your future success. As long as your are dedicated and motivated you will be fine. One issue I had with the program is that there is only one option for each of the courses for WPU@MCCC students, you don't have a choice of when you get to take the class, there is only one to choose so you have to adjust your schedule accordingly."

"Being that I am just beginning the Grad course that I chose, I can only tell you what I have experienced in the little time. The paucity of students attending Grad school is because of the funding. When registering for the class, the amount of courses to receive some sort of financial aid was not made obvious. It was not until my very first day of class that I was told I had to set up a payment plan and pay immediately when I told them I had no received my Tax form to apply for financial assistance. With such a large school and late classes I believe that having someone during the late hours would be of great help. Especially for those who cannot make it there during the day. For those that are not eligible for financial aid there is absolutely nothing the staff can tell you to assist you. I had a staff member tell me they didn't know. How are the staff supposed to AID when they cannot come up with ways to help AID students of all areas. Meaning those who are and are not eligible for Financial Aid. It is unfair to those who are struggling to pay out of pocket and have no assistance what so ever. I am competing against students who have great jobs and have help, where as I am paying on my own. The Pro of the program are that the professors will make time to answer any questions that you may have."

"I feel that my graduate program is on hands and very well planned out with the adviser. The professors are hands on and they care about your success. They also provide internships in order to find job placement. I am excited to finish my graduate program and I feel I will have learned as that is needed in order to have success in my future. The cons of this program is that they only allow you three classes per semester, so it does take longer to finish."

"My program is School Counseling, and I find it to be very inspirational and a positive ;learning experience. As well as working experience. I think the staff is very involved and helpful and that they want to see you succeed in the program. The only downside to this program is that there are only certain classes available each semester so it makes it difficult to finish faster if a student wanted too. Other than that, I would definitely recommended William Paterson's graduate program to others."

"Graduate school is a challenge but I like the fact that the facility is willing to provide extra help and support that one needs in order to be successful and learn all that is possible during my experience as a graduate student. I have not yet found any cons in my graduate experience but I am happy with my choice of school that I chose to further my education! Then again, this is my first year as a graduate student at William Paterson University, but I am satisfied with where I am at today."

"I am a graduate student enrolled in the Counseling program in William Paterson University. This program is a very intimate program. You work very closely with classmates and professors to ensure your success. Though the counseling program is very long and stressful, the quality of knowledge is the best."

"Classes are late afternoons or night, the earliest starting at 4:15PM which is great for those working professional. Professors are currently working in the field. Some of the courses are online, which is great because it gives you the flexibility of adding an extra course. The school offers Winter courses, Summer 1 & 2, Fall & Spring semesters. The tuition is cheaper that any other college in NJ and there are some grants and scholarships available."
