ACE is a fantastic school. I went here for my M.Ed and it was challenging yet incredibly relevant and rewarding. The courses emphasize your own classroom/school/district and you end up leaving with practical skills that will help you improve your teaching immediately. I am returning to ACE to continue my studies and have recommended ACE to my co-workers and family members. The offices and advisors are very responsive and helpful, which means a lot to those of us who work full time, take classes,... Read More

Do yourself a favor and find a reputable school who actually cares about their students and not just making money. While it is the cheapest grad program my colleagues and I could find, we all agree, it’s not worth the money. The last course I took the professor was on vacation the first week of a five week course. My questions and emails were not returned. It was quite embarrassing. The workload is outrageous and not meant for a working adults.

ACE has been a very rewarding learning experience for me. I enjoyed the course work and the professors were very knowledgeable and helpful. There practicum course is top notch and helped me gain the field experience I needed to be able to perform the tasks of an education leader at a great capacity. I highly recommend this school.

Don’t waste your money. You will be inundated with lengthy projects that do not connect to your curriculum whatsoever. Professors take days to get back to you with questions and often take more than a week to grade papers. I’m not sure they could even teach my dog to sit. You have been warned.

ACE is an appropriately challenging graduate experience. Working through this degree, I surmise my home situation was similar to many online graduate students. I work full-time, I am married and I also have young children. I still managed to successfully complete my studies at ACE in under the time frame suggested; I even doubled up one semester due to limited availability of classes to finish my program in the originally planned 17 months. So all together, I finished the degree 15 months after starting... Read More

ACE has to be one of the best online programs that I have attended. I received my Master's and Doctorate from another online institution, paid a lot of money for them. However, with ACE's mission for affordability, this was the way to go for another Master's. The registrar, student services, library, student commons, department chairs and instructors are all willing to help you. For an online college, it is amazing the communication that is provided. The curriculum is also amazing, relevant and rigorous.... Read More

Brick and mortar was not an option as a full-time working parent. Ace provided a wonderful alternative. I was concerned at first, that I would not be able to navigate through an online program. Having received my BA from a very reputable university the old fashion way. The professor put my mind at ease that it could be done. Discipline and good organization skills is a must. Degree has helped me further my knowledge and has increased my earning potential. Thank you ACE!

This school was exactly what I needed. As a 40 something father who works full time as a high school teacher, brick and mortar schooling was not an option. Truth be told, online education presents a different set of challenges. I found it more difficult than traditional schooling. However, it was worth it. This school understands that online learning is different and is constantly evolving to meet the needs of its students. I dealt with some wonderful faculty members, who encouraged me and challenged... Read More

Im very curious of those who reported low reviews of this fine online college. In some cases it was the technology (navigating, architecture) noted, which is still commensurate with most online institutions. In other cases it was the rigor some took exception to, something you would hope to see in a graduate level experience from any institution. I found the technical aspects of an online campus challenging and frustrating at times, but therein lies the rewards for those who persevere in an environment... Read More

Having earned both my Bachelor and Master's Degree from different reputable brick and mortar schools, I was not really interested in online degrees. However, when a friend told me about American College of Education doctoral degree programs, I realized that ACE offered what I was looking for in leadership and in education. The content of my courses was current and relevant to my work as an educator and could be infused in my everyday practice. The work at ACE is not cakewalk, so working and studying... Read More

Going through the doctoral program there were a number of frustrations. The course work was fantastic and some professors just like at brick and mortar institutions are great and some not so great. When I and a few others complained about the professionalism/feedback of one particular professor (not whining but scholarly concerns) I didn't seem them back teaching at ACE.(wonderful).That said my experiences are essentially very positive particularly with my Dissertation Chair and Committee members.... I am surprised to see less-than-stellar reviews full of complaints. This school has fast-paced program; however, the workload each week is manageable for me (I have one full-time job, as well as two part-time jobs). I'm even involved in community activities, and I can still find time every day to complete my work. The professor in my current course is attentive, helpful, and provides useful feedback. I LOVED ACE. It was the perfect program for me. I was looking for something that I knew would be affordable and manageable for my life. I agree with comments that it takes discipline to complete the degree, however, what educational program doesn't? I graduated with a 4.0 and still kept up with my job and personal life. I also was AMAZED by the library and online resources. You can find research on any topic you are looking for. The structure is very clear and the staff is supportive. They do not... Read More

I really enjoyed this degree and getting to know other students. ACE has an orientation program to help you learn their system and most professors give very clear directions. If you need help, you can contact your professor, ask the other students, or contact your Success Coach. Everyone I have spoken to has been very friendly and ready to help. The work load is nothing more than I would expect for an expedited degree. If you follow the guidelines, do your work with integrity, and look at the rubrics,... Read More

I highly recommend this school for Master level programs. I earned my M.A. Degree while committed to my career and while committed to earning my degree; in other words, I spent long hours involved in both. There were few days that I remember getting only an hour to two of sleep because I was completing a paper or studying for an exam while working full-time. You will have to do the work. You will have to write your own papers. You will have to study for your exams. If you want a program that is one... Read More

I asked the teacher for assistance but was put on hold and had to wait to find out the school was not for me. I asked for a refund as quickly as I could and was denied. Don't do it. You do 5 times more work then other doctoral programs. You spend more time trying to figure out what to do then you spend getting it done. The materials they provide you are irrelevant to the assignments. If you do plan on attending be ready to spend 50-60 hour a week writing papers and discussions. You will not get any instruction - just confusing directions on how to complete assignments. The masters program at ACE was great but the Doctoral program is a lot of busy work with little... Unrealistic expectations for full time working students. Several articles to read and post by Wednesday, replay to two other peers, and a final project and test by the end of the week, every week for 5 straight weeks. Also, you should already know APA format before you begin.

First rate professors: Dr. E. is amazing! Lots of work if you are not organized. Strict deadlines. Grades are always in on the Thursday after the assignments are due. Each week, expect to write at least one paper, complete a discussion board, watch 4-5 presentations, read 4-5 peer reviewed journal articles, and take a quiz or final exam. The school offers lots of assistance/help, but I did not use of the services, so I cannot comment on them.
