"I see a lot of bad reviews, but I was extremely happy with my education at AIU. I attended AIU Houston and I had a wonderful journey the only thing was the cost of education it is expensive, but I have not had any problems finding a job I currently work for a global testing company and my salary is knocking at 6 figures as a Staff Accountant now I do have experience in the career field I chose to go to school for so that makes a difference in employers decision to hire you. From my experience in corporate I have not had anyone look down on my degree they checked my work history and I was knowledgeable enough to pass my interviews. I can remember one employer asked where the school was located to see if I went online or on campus and I still got the job. Some employers do verify if it is an accredited school and since AIU is accredited there shouldn't be a problem. I went to an on-campus school recently for my MBA and didn't like it so I switched back to AIU, but this time online. LOVE AIU I sure hate to see others had a bad experience. As far as career services they do help with your resume because I had a career services aid help me with my resume and they have gotten better, although I found my job on my own through Glassdoor and other sites."

"This school is a joke. I was having issues and they just kept begging me to stay even though it wasn't possible to finish my classes with my day to day schedule. I was told my tuition was being covered by my grants, only to find out i missed too many days with work and with my daughter being on life support (NO THEY DO NOT CARE NOR DO THEY HAVE A WAIVER FOR THESE ISSUES). After they withdrew me i was still charged for classes I never even started after specifically being told i wouldnt be charged. They are just in it for the money and care about absolutely no one."

"AIU is an excellent opportunity to further your education. I have had an excellent student advisor who has been great support for me. The financial aid department will go above and beyond the call of duty to see you have everything needed. The professors were caring about my education!"

"I have been enrolled since March 2015, halfway through and can tell you I have found almost every experience fascinating. Most teachers are receptive and if I have questions on my financial aid or costs, I always am able to get good information. It is surprising to see so many negative reviews especially ones such as courses not being available. My whole academic schedule was set up before I even started and hasn't changed yet, which makes it very easy to schedule my other affairs around. Years ago I attending Phoenix Online and was so disappointed. I am grateful everyday that I decided to try again and am looking forward to finishing - halfway there :D"

"Lied to from day 1. I was pressured to attend by someone that kept calling me. She was practically trying to "sell" the school. She lied to me and told me I would be able to get a CPA degree from there which was a total lie in 2007. Was told my cost would be $25k (for just associates) ended up being $32k????? I didn't find out that I couldn't sit for CPA exams after graduating that school (bc they didn't offer bachelor and masters in accounting in 2007) after I received my associates degree. When I told them who had promised me this she no longer worked there...nice!!! So I transferred and most of my credits wouldn't even transfer so I had to start all over again which I refused to do! Thanks for nothing aiu!"
