Argosy University Online Reviews - Associate in Psychology
Review of Psychology Associate Degrees
Okay so first of all I have read so many reviews from here. I have a totally different experience from this school. I just graduated with my Associates of the Arts in Psychology and now doing my BA and 40% of my Masters due to my grades. This school has done so much for me and taught me so much that I am now working at a counseling center connected to a hospital. I am an intake worker. The other counselors here are amazed on so much that I know they know the school and it is amazing. The staff, teachers etc never gave me a problem at all. I would highly recommend this university to anyone that wants a great degree. Hats of to this university you did me great!!!!!
The professor do not communicate.they wait to the last minute to grade which that doesn't give you time to bring your grade up..at then when it's to late. That's when you MIGHT get a response. I will not refer this school to no one that is really serious about being successful n getting a degree..The academic counselor is amazing. .I even had the worse financial counselor...Sorry but I wouldn't refer Argosy University to anyone that's if you are serious abt your degree..I had an amazing Math teacher but hands down for the rest
I love this school so much I am moving forward to my doctors I do receive my money on time and my degree I am currently in the B.A. psychology program with a minor in child and adolescent development I am planning on getting into the M.A.P.s program for forensic psychology and will receive my doctorates in community psychology then i will move on to another university for my political science and Pan African studies degree with a minor in history i have some major schools in mind they have encouraged me a lot i am the first college grad in my family
I think this is an excellent school. Staff is very helpful my academic advisor calls me weekly to make sure things are going good. Doing excellent in my classes. Teachers are awesome and understanding. I'm so proud of myself. Argosy university is amazing.
I started Argosy back in January of 2015 and I have had nothing but good things to say about this school. The professor will push you to a breaking point but it's good because you sometimes need that little push . All of my professors , (so far) have been understanding if something has come up and they worked with me and gave me extended time on assignment if needed . Overall great school!
I started at Argosy last February and just finished my AA in Psychology. I was able to double up some of my courses so graduated in just under 18 months. So I've taken other online/distance courses (Phoenix and PennFoster) and so far this school has been the most realistic and best quality of them all. Like any college, some of the courses are harder, some are easier, some of the teachers are more forgiving than others, and sometimes there can be glitches in the grade system you have to keep an eye on. Overall, I do enjoy this college, and I was referred to it by a friend who already had a job in the mental health care field after he got his degree here. I do have to say, there is a lot of writing involved. I don't know if all online schools are based around constant essay writing, but this one is. Very few tests, in fact only 1 in my past 2 yrs.
Hello Everyone, I have had great times attending Argosy University online for my AA degree. I am continuing for my BS degree this September. I am so great full for everything Argosy University has helped with. I was lost and then started school here and I have changed so much. I have so many professional contacts that I needed to move forward with my career and Argosy helped with that in a huge way. Thank you, Kayla
Please, if you are considering this school, think twice, then three times, then choose another school! When I enrolled, my advisor was great. She since has moved on, leaving me with people who do not care. My academic advisor has changed 3 times since i enrolled under 2 years ago. My admissions advisor was amazing, including meeting with me one day to help tutor me in my math class. My financial advisor early on was alright, decent communication, but the one I have now is a joke. I had a default with the Department of Education back in 2009 so now any time they try to run my financial aid through the system, that comes up and they need a letter from DOE confirming I am no longer in default. This happened again in April and, no joke, my advisor just got in touch with me 2 days ago to let me know he needs the letter. He called me April 10th to let me know about the issue and I called to have the letter faxed from DOE that same day. I called and left a voicemail for my adviser asking he notify me if he never receives the letter and I never heard a word. I have been awarded scholarships for my academic achievements, of which I have only received $500 of the $2000 I was supposed to have received. I would love to say that the classes are challenging, but it's always concerned me that there are no tests or quizzes, and all classes consist of one discussion post and one full assignment, normally a 4-8 page paper. Reading other classmates posts, it is disheartening. The grammar is quite often horrific, the citations are incorrect, and you see so many students just copying and pasting text they've read in the classroom or text. I have compounded almost $30,000 in student loans for this degree that, quite obviously, will be a joke and will never get me anywhere. Please, don't make the same mistake I did!!!
Argosy University is an amazing school. The teachers are very helpful and understanding. I was honored to make president's list and recieve a certificate. I would recommend this school to anyone looking to move further in there education or career. 5 stars to this school.
I absolutely LOVE Argosy University Online! I am going online to pursue an Associates Degree in Psychology, and then hopefully further my education through them. I do not think that it is easy work handed out to their students, I too, have had to sacrifice a lot to get to where I am at academically. I, in my first semester of College, made the "Presidents List" on the Honor Roll, that is above the Deans list, and I had to work my butt off to get there. I love my Professors, I have learned a lot so far, and I love the University. I am sorry to all those on here that have had a bad experience, But I have had nothing but good experiences. However, I do have to say that getting a hold of the Financial Aid Counselor has been really difficult, that is my only complaint.
