Argosy University Online Reviews - Bachelor's in Criminal Justice - CLOSED
At least there is a little bit of light at the end of the tunnel! I definitely would recommend transferring your credits to South University. When I first decided to transferred to South University, the academic advisor and admissions told me that they will be willing to accept only 65 credits out of my 114 that I earned. Meaning, I wouldn't have graduated till May of 2020. After South University deliberated on the situation of all Argosy students, they decided to knock off a bigger percent of earned credits. Which now puts me only taken 6 courses instead of the 14. So instead of graduating next year of 2020 , I can now graduate this year of 2019.And all of my financial problems with Argosy will be will be eliminated. If you are a former student of Argosy University I would definitely suggest you call South University and talk to admissions. I thought no one cared about Argosy University's student's situation but I was wrong. Call South University please!!! You might be surprised just like I was. And trust me, I am not an easy person to please! But the South did their thang!!!!
This school is a psycho circus. I am a war vet. who has a few learning disabilities. The instructors consider themselves to be professors and they are for the most part selfish unhelpful asses. The financial spent here they dont give you the monies that they say they will. The tutoring one is completely promised to receive, well, is one that makes you feel that you are in a desert at night. Do yourself a favor and RUN AWAY if you value your previous time and sanity. The counselors here are unscupolus shiftless bafoon clowns.
My experience at Argosy University was very pleasant. The Teachers were available often and answered questions to help improve your work. the counselors were also amazing and were able to guide you to the best route possible to complete your degree. The online classes were easy to maneuver and the best part was that the books came included in the tuition and were included online, you didn't have buy your books separately.
I am currently in at Argosy University, I started in Feb of 2015, and I find the school very good. I haven't had any problems with any of the staff. The classes are small and the instructors do give you good and bad feedback. Which is one thing I really like, you can improve on what your having problems in. To the ones who are saying you can't get a job. Well first of all the job market isn't the best, second of all depending on what your studied and if the jobs are in your area. A piece of paper and a gpa don't always get a job at your feet.
VETERANS BEWARE! This school, particularly S. A. and J. P. will not help you through the process. They're only concerned with the numbers. They both let my husband start without having the proper paperwork filled out. S. promised him grants if he started right away then stuck us with a 4000$ bill. The second class he was not even able to finish because S. and J. had not filled out the proper paperwork. However, they discontinued my husbands class AFTER the drop out date. Convenient? I think for them. Then they were less than helpful with payment options. Please stay away from this FOR PROFIT school. It's nothing but trouble. Proceed with caution.
I am writing this review because I am upset with the financial part of my online education with Argosy. I am uncertain if the financial aid that I did use go towards classes that I took and not retakes. Even though they told me financial aid doesn't cover retakes. On my account summary it's classes posted that I haven't taken. And it makes it confusing as far as did my financial go towards classes I didn't take considering I have been told I exhausted my financial aid. I haven't attended class since December 2013 because they told me I ran completely out of funding. I requested reaffirmation through my Fed loan servicing provider. They reviewed their data base and said I had money left. I called Argosy they told me oh yea.. You have $3,000 left. I already emailed compliance who financed my loans to go over my account at the school to make sure the money went towards what it was suppose to go to and to make sure it didn't cover retakes or any of the classes I haven't taken yet. Hopefully I get answers because it's looks like I'm at an over $20,000 out the pocket cost to finish.. I have used $57,000 already is what they saying for classes I have taken and still no degree. I'm very disappointed and upset. Kind of lost respect for the school where my finances are concerned. I take full responsibility if I'm wrong and I will just have to make away to pay. But, I should have to come out my pocket if funds were mismanaged.:(
