"I have had nothing but support from my academic and financial advisors since enrolling. All of my calls and emails are responded to the same day, and my teacher emails or calls me every week to ask how I am doing and If I need any help with the coursework. Any school is going to have its problems, and yes, I am aware of Argosy's low graduation rate, but after reading these reviews I can see why. Looking into this school I knew that because it was a "private" school there would be out of pocket expenses involved, and the financial department has been great about helping me work out an affordable payment plan. The thing about private schools is they have to pay for EVERYTHING with the money they receive from students. They aren't fully funded by the government like Community Colleges are. So you are going to see higher tuition prices no matter which one you choose. With online classes you are expected to do the majority of learning yourself. Even teach yourself at times. The teachers are there to guide you. In my online classes at Anoka Ramsey Community College I had to study my textbook and outside resources on my own, then answer questions posed to me by my teacher to assess what I had learned. An online driven curriculum is a STUDENT driven curriculum. The quality of the education is determined by the student. I would only recommend Argosy, or any private school, to those who are self-motivated. If you need someone to hold your hand and walk you through everything, go to a community college."

"I just started at Argosy, I haven't any complaints. I transferred to Argosy andvit was the best decision I made in my life. You have to work hard doing online classes, it sounds to me the people that have given this school a bad review didn't. I only have good things to say about this school."

"Before I start, let me just say that I'm currently enrolled at Argosy University with a 3.81 GPA, so I'm not a student that is failing and wants to bash the school. My issue with the school is the lack of knowledge that the instructors have in a specific area. If I'm taking a course in Business Information Systems, then I expect to have an instructor that is specialized in that field of study. I shouldn't have to beg instructors to do their job by making sure that I'm actually grasping the material presented before me. Every course that I have taken, I have had to teach myself the material. Why am I paying a school, if I'm just going to teach myself anyways. Heck, they should be paying me for going to this school. My academic counselor acts like she understands but it just seems like she's reading a script when it regards certain issues. Today, I had an instructor call me and basically tell me that until I achieve the level of education that she has, I shouldn't be critiquing her teaching technique. I guess the instructors feel that they are superior to their students. Today was definitely the last straw for me with this school. After this course ends, I will not continue my education at this school. If you're considering this school, please, please do your research. Try and find students that have attended or are currently enrolled and ask them about their experience. Ask what degree they are pursuing, what GPA do they have, ask about the instructors style of teaching, and most importantly make sure that the school's accreditation meets your requirement just in case you have to transfer to another school."

"Argosy is nothing more than a joke! Take this as dogma from one who actually worked at this institution. This place cares naught about true education, its faculty, or its students. Your money and time will be wasted on a degree that very few institutions of higher education will accept.Do yourself and your wallet/pocketbook a favor and find another more reputable university to acquire your degree. You will thank yourself for not going to Argosy!"

"I'm surprised at the negative comments about Argosy University. I am in my second year and have continued to have great experiences in all areas of my education process. It is unrealistic to expect perfection from every university and every person involved, and college tuition increases state wide 5 percent every year.I have no complaints about my interaction with staff and instructors-in fact, they have gone to great lengths to support and encourage me. I made the right decision when I chose Argosy University, and I would highly recommend it to anyone wishing to further their education."

"This school took money from my VA benefits and refuses to apply them to my account even with proof they were paid! The instructors are unprofessional; they will insult and harass you. If you ask them for help be prepared to be docked on points on ALL of your assignments! I graduated my last 2 schools with honors and know how much work and applying yourself goes into good grades. If you report the instructors, you get laughed at. And forget about trying to withdraw because they wont let you. I am on 9 weeks of waiting to get a phone call back! I was told in writing that the online EdD program WAS APA accredited due to the fact that the residency can be done at an APA accredited school. I was also pushed through enrollment with the "we will call you back on that" to never get a call back. Now my student loans need to be signed for and they refuse to allow me to withdraw from school and are trying to get students loans without my signature or approval!!I wish I found this before experiencing such a nightmare. I have worked with several advisors and their managers and the response is always the same - leave weeks of voicemails and their little people will say "they will call you back, I am sending them an email". They will NEVER call you back unless they are getting money out of it! I am totally disgusted with this school! I have been trying to figure out how to report them since I requested to withdraw BEFORE this term started and they went so far as to have the instructor call to let me know my assignmnet is late! To which I had to explain that I requested to withdraw and they enrolled me regardless in class because they wont return any of my messages. They last 3 times I spoke with somebody I got "disconnected" in the process of "getting things handled". If anybody has any advice on how I can get out of this school, stop them from taking student loans out, and I have written proof of requesting to withdraw BEFORE this term but they are charging me for the ENTIRE year up front with NO refund as they have said... please let me know?!?!?!"

"Financially and academically, this school is horrible. I have been trying to contact my finance counselor for four weeks now via phone and e-mail, no response until I called today asking to speak to her manager. They manipulated me and my finances. I was told that I would not be paying out of pocket for my current courses. I found out that I infact must pay $3,000 out of pocket, and they also took out $9,000 in student loans after me specifically telling them not to.I highly regret making the decision to become a student at Argosy University and recommend every student find another. Very unhappy."

"I was looking for a degree in human services and ended up taking psychology after my 2nd class found what I was really looking for at another school and withdrew. The other school was a non profit and 1/4 of the price and exactly what I wanted. The instructors are great at Argosy but my counselor became distant when I wanted to transfer big difference from the beginning. Just do your homework first I wish I had I wouldn't have made a $2500.00 mistake."
