If you want to check a box of completing a bachelors degree then this school can do that for you. You will do a lot of work in some classes but not all. It is a very impersonal school so don’t expect to make connections with your instructors. If you want to go on to graduate school, I would not recommend doing an online program unless you have a way of doing teaching assistant jobs with a university or doing in person research since the professors at this school have no interest in writing recommendation... This college has changed my life exponentially. When I began my Bachelor's program here I had no idea how much it would change my life for the better, not just through education but through wonderful people and professors I was able to connect with throughout the online program. The online platform is wonderful for watching lectures and discussing material with fellow students and the professors. Responses are quick and helpful from the professors and the truly are there to help the students succeed.... Read More

Arizona State University's online program has been one of the best decisions I have ever made. The program has allowed for me to challenge myself in time management and self delegation. Upon starting college, I didn't think online was a good idea because you are physically alone. You miss out on a lot of student life. Although, the basic college experience is not for everyone. I am a full time worker, I live on my own, and I support myself at least 90% financially. ASU online allowed for me to obtain... Read More

Arizona State University has an amazing undergraduate education with many opportunities to gain experiences outside of the typical curriculum. As an undergraduate in Psychology and in Family and Human Development, I had the opportunity to work in research labs where I gained mentorship in developing a research project, collecting data, analyzing data using statistics, and writing up research papers for publication in scientific journals before I started graduate school. This gave me a huge advantage... Read More

I began my education at a community college before transferring to ASU. (Side note: If you are looking to transfer to any in-state school, I highly recommend you utilize "aztransfer.com" to ensure that the courses you are taking are actually going to transfer to the university you are transferring to, and you can see *how* it will transfer; ie- my science courses from the community college I attended transferred to ASU as an *elective* and NOT as the science course they actually are.) The issues... Read More

The Psychology degree program at Arizona State University definitely needs more construct. I spent a lot of my undergraduate career learning about everything else BUT psychology. During my senior year, I went on to take courses that focused more on Psychology. I would encourage anyone in this field to look into Research internships on campus.

Arizona State University is leading the pack with its focus on research, innovation, diversity, and inclusion. I have never been to another campus that harbors the idea of community connectedness like Arizona State. The professors are brilliant and have so many unique and amazing backgrounds, there is never a lack of assistance and understanding.

Attending Arizona State University was by far one of the best decisions I have ever made. The combination of both the educational aspect as well as social aspect made it an experience I will never forget. All of my professors were amazing and no matter how big the class size was they always made me feel like I was important as an idividual. Social life on campus is amazing and they always have events to participate in. The opportunities they provide are unlimited! They are always trying to update... Read More

Arizona State University (ASU) is a college that is known for its partying. While that may be appealing or make you look at different options, thats not all it is about. ASU has some great educational programs and with more than one campus to choose from you have plenty of different options on where to choose your classes. In my time, I started my degree at the West Campus for a smaller, close knit campus. Then moved on to Tempe when I was comfortable and wanted more classes to choose from. One of... Read More

I transferred to ASU after getting my AA from community college. I was excited about the classes offered and looked forward to getting my BS from them. I worked closely with my Academic Advisor to take the best courses possible. At the end of the semester, I called to speak with my AA again to register for next classes. The one that I worked with originally was no longer there. I was asked why I took the classes that I had, because none of them applied to the degree I was pursuing. I told them that... Read More

I attended Arizona State University online to gain my Bachelors degree, which I received in December of 2017. I have heard many say that online school is not real school or it is much easier than traditional school. I am here to tell you, you are wrong. Online school is just different. While it may not be easier, it is definitely more convenient for those of us that work full time, go to school full time and take care of kids full time. It is a bit more flexible, but the schedules are still pretty... Read More

I was a transfer student from NAU where I began my bachelor's degree in psychology. When I transferred to Arizona State University I attended the main Tempe campus. I loved the professors and classes, but the campus itself was a little too big for me. The students were also not very friendly. I finished my degree at the west campus which was may more my speed. It was smaller and friendlier. Overall a great experience.

The psychology program is an intensive program that teaches both grammatical and science courses. Research methods are explained in full detail and prepare you for the research required in a psychology career. Many different mental disorders and behaviors are studied extensively which gives a clear cut understanding of how these disorders effect people. Arizona State University's Online classes were a life saver for me. In my life situation, I do not have an option to stop working and go to school. With online courses I was able to work full time during the day and attend my classes at night. I was extremely impressed with the quality of the online courses!

I would tell anyone to be very wary of transferring into ASU and when dealing with advisors. I have been royally s*****d for the upcoming year by having some pretty c****y advising that has left me without required credits that I was previously led to believe I already had earned, and I am not having to do those credits and take yet another semester (I was supposed to graduate this coming Spring). And it is looking like those extra credits will have to be paid for out of my own pocket rather than... Read More

Arizona State University provides great faculty with diverse experiences, but most importantly they want to invest in their students lives. I personally became close with one of my professors who to this day I can still visit in her office hours for both advice and just to talk about any insecurities I have about the future. It's not only important to have a knowledgeable teacher, but also one who invests and cares about their students.
