I am currently a senior at Ashford and graduating this year. So far I love this school because t has allowed me to work while finishing up with my degree. The classes aren't hard if you are willing to put in the work. Since this is an accelerated program you have more work than usual that is due every week and if you fall behind you will lose your participation points. Your grade is really up to you. Only cons I have we're the initial process of transferring credits and selecting the appropriate classes. I felt that there was a lot of miscommunication with departments which was irritating. I also had an issue with one teacher which I dropped her class and took it with another and passing with flying colors! Also, I wish the tuition was lower and they didn't charge for dropping classes. I am very excited to graduate this year!!

My time with Ashford University has been exceptionally beneficial and educational. With the timeframe for each class being shorter than most other schools, and the quality instruction from my class instructors, I have been able to learn a considerable amount of knowledge that will be a vital asset once I retire from the military in a few years. I have already recommended this school to my peers, and will continue to do so for those that are seeking a great school with quality education.

I truly have nothing bad to say about Ashford University. It is a little more expensive for the convenience of online capability so it takes a lot of work. It is silly to me that all these poor reviews are put there. Now in MBA program and looking forward to graduating in 2016. If you are looking for a school with a great support system attend Ashford ... don't take all these naysayers advice it is a great school.

Let me tell you something about Ashford University. First of all the student advisors do not care about you and nor will they ever. Mine straight told me his only job is to schedule my classes other then that he will not help me with anything else. The education you will get from this school is sub-par and I can promise you if you try to go to another school you will have to retake classes because it does not meet the standard. In the online portion instructors do not grade your assignments they simply turn it in to a computer and it grades it based off of a couple things but if the assignment comes back with more than 5% of someone elses work you WILL FAIL the assignment. I spent 3 days working on a 10 page report and because it was 5% like a previous students work I failed my final paper. Trust me save your money and go somewhere else it is not worth it.

First of all, I am baffled at all the negativity regard Ashford. I have been at this school for a year and a half, and the experience has been just great. people with all there negative comments must have not done anything right, didn't work hard, didn't follow through with their programs, ect. This school is accredited and businesses WILL hire you if you meet the requirements. Has anyone ever heard of networking? Yes, not all businesses are going to hire you just because you have a piece of paper. It takes a little more than that. I would recommend this school to anyone, because I find that it is a great school. Yes, its expensive - Averaging at $430 per credit hour, which is NOT that bad. All online colleges are expensive. College is not cheap, people. Deal with it, or go somewhere else. By the way, I have a 3.63 GPA and graduating in March of 2016.

I have had a wonderful experience at Ashford University. The professors are extremely qualified. Education has always been about the effort a person is willing to exert. In today's world, brick and mortar school are no longer necessary to receive a credible education. The university is well organized, supportive and convenient.

I enjoyed my studies overall. As with any school some instructors are better than others. However for 95% of my classes they were nothing but helpful and encouraging. I had a great experience however you are left to your own as far as absorbing and understanding the material. For math related classes this gets difficult. I finished (just this week) with a 3.62 GPA

They told me I could get a job doing what I wanted to with this degree. . According to the unemployment office no employer will hire me because they do not see any people with degrees from this school actually having the skills or knowledge to do the job. I am in so much debt with zero opportunity to pay it back I would love a full refund. Wasted my time. I wish I had went to a state university so I could do my career Choices. Now I can't even transfer the credits to go back. Which means more debt.

Ashford online is a wonderful school to attend! I am a sophomore nearing my junior year, and have had some wonderful experiences with the staff, counselors and professors! Of course, every now and then, you are going to run into those that are not so attentive; however, the good overcomes the bad. Any time I have a financial situation, my financial advisor is always prompt in answering all my questions and getting the ball rolling. If I have something I don't understand, my professors have always been prompt. The work is hard, yes, but if it weren't, I would not be accomplishing anything. You definitely have to have a desire for an education when you go to Ashford, without it, you will be one of the sooth-sayers like you find on here complaining because it's always somebody else's fault other than your own. And, Ashford, I guess, is the perfect one to lay your failures on, huh? Ashford is a wonderful school if you are will to put everything else aside, and make your studies top priority. It's not putting your family aside, it's securing a future for your family. Do not let negativity cause you to lose what Ashford has to offer you! Those complaining are just needing someone else to blame for their failures.

I attended Ashford University from 2009-2013 and thought that my learning experience was terrific. Going to Ashford is like anything else in life, if you put the effort in you will succeed. Ashford University offers a lot of people a chance to succeed but some of these people do not put the proper effort into their studies and then complain when they fail classes and lose the money they invested. As a student of Ashford I turned in every assignment in a four year period and received help from instructors whenever I needed it and as a result I graduated with a 3.83 GPA. In my four year journey at Ashford I was fully aware of the attack on the university by Liberal senator Tom Harkin, which resulted in me writing him a letter. After watching the assault come full circle over my four years at Ashford I formed the hypothesis that liberals (so called progressives) hate online, for-profit education because they hate profit, and they no longer control the monopoly on higher learning that has allowed them to indoctrinate America's youth for the last 75 years. Ashford University may make a profit but profit creates competition in the marketplace therefore making the university better in the long run. Also we must remember that schools like Harvard have endowments upwards of 2 billion dollars, that's not profit? In the end I would recommend Ashford University to anyone looking to further their education, but specifically those people who have to work 40 hours a week to support a family, Ashford gives you a chance to learn and work.
